Visited for tea and coffee , and we had tapas Fabulous flavours, portion sizes were excellent This was our first time and we will be back , the lady that served us was lovely and friendly too .

Well what an awful lady .. I wasn’t welcomed , no wi set it’s empty ! Asked for milk alternative to be told “ no” then after ordering a flat white - which was actually a latte . I asked if could have in smaller cup as should be to be told I was wrong and she had 5 years experience making coffee. Hmmmm … well I have over 30 years experience and a flat white is def not served in a cappuccino size cup with that much milk . Thus is why it’s empty … makes sense

I visited here with my daughter as we had never been here before. Upon entering the lady wasn’t entirely friendly or welcoming and then continued whispering about me to another man who worked there, which was very rude. I would of walked out had my daughter not wanted to stay. It’s a shame because the decor, food and cleanliness was 5* and very nice but due to the other little things I shall not be returning. Working in this industry myself I know how important customer service is

The food was absolutely amazing great customer service amazing portions, Marjan couldn’t of done any more for us. Definitely will be coming back fresh food everything tastes like it is homemade, Thankyou for making us feel so special couldn’t fault the bill 😀

Hadn't been here since before covid but what a remarkable change. Warm, welcoming staff and surroundings. I had a cheese omelette with salad and my friend a jacket potato with salad - all delicious and nicely presented. Reasonable prices too Will defo go again but try some of greek fare on offer instead..

Lovely new Greek owners, offering lovely authentic Greek food. Generous portions, Plus excellent quality breakfast, freshly squeezed Orange Juice. Service good but you do wait as food is freshly cooked. Shame they are not open evenings as they would get more custom for there authentic food. They offer delivery via online booking platform and lunchtime takeaway. Shame they haven't renamed the venue to reflect the food served as never had the best reputation when it was a coffee shop with previous owners.

I have been a regular customer at Bitter and Sweet now for many months and as a resident of Tamworth, will not go anywhere else. I only bought a coffee on my first visit but after being struck by the staff's welcoming manner this has now led to me being a long standing regular. The quality of food is unmatched, great tasting and always fresh. I can be choosey about what i eat and the selection of excellent food and drink here is why i wont use any other Cafe. I'm a believer in that you get what you pay for and Bitter and Sweet never disappoint. I hope to see Bitter and Sweet Cafe in Tamworth for many years to come.

We had a great English Breakfast. Delivered on time, Hot, Plenty and well presented. It was yummy. With no cooking or washing up. Definitely recommend.

Food turned up extreamly late and cold with extras missing on more than 1 occasion. The delivery driver then had the cheek to ask me to look at his car for him in the rain. Try to speak to the manager and that took 3 days. Was assured I'd get a discount nextime. When next time came the food took again over 2 hours and loads missing and no discount. Avoid these clowns like the plague.

Waited over 2 hours for my food. Turns up as I’m getting in my van to go out. So didn’t get to taste my food. Sent it back. What a joke

Absolutely awful. Never order food from here. Took two hours for my food to arrive and it came stone cold and my milkshake was missing. Called up to ask about my milkshake, the assured me they’d send another and it’s been 3 hours now 🙃 Appalling service, disgusting dry food that’s way too expensive. Never again. I just wanted a choccy milkshake man

Awful customer service, slow, couldn't careless attitude. Food was not hygienic, would not recommend and will never come here again.

The food from here is delish!! Highly reccomened. Always comes hot when ordered via take away. Delivery driver is very friendly. Over all a great service. Food really hits the spot every time.

We decided to try out the new menu that Bitter & Sweet have put together. A few different items on the menu. Food cooked fresh, service with a smile with a pleasant atmosphere too & value for money too, they also have booths with USB charger ports & Wi-Fi too. What more could you ask for. Today hubby had Sausage, egg, chips & beans & I had scampi, chips & salad. It was delicious. (Pictured below)They are open Mon-Sat 9-3pm & Sunday's they open 10-4.30pm on a limited menu of All day breakfasts & Sunday dinners of a choice of either Chicken or Beef with sometimes Lamb or Gammon too. So if your on the area of Tamworth & local to the council offices just take a few steps further & you'll find this lovely cafe, so come & see for yourself & I'm sure you'll agree with me what a lovely place it is.You can eat in or pop in to collect or even telephone order for collection or delivery for £2.00 charge. They are also on Just Eat too.

I work 2 minutes away walking, I’m on a 14 hour shift where I started at 5am I waited all morning for them to open. I phoned up to place my order and explained where I was. The young lady asked the driver if he’d deliver to me I offered to pay a delivery fee for the troubles and the driver they employ said if I don’t spend more than £10 plus delivery fee he won’t deliver. I’ve ordered from them many times when with family or work colleges where we’ve spent £20-£50 on food with them in a single order. I’ve also received burnt food from them a few times and not complained but as a returning customer who’s only 2 minutes away wanting breakfast on a Sunday I’m absolutely disgusted and outraged that even after offering the delivery charge the driver can’t bring it whilst his dropping other food. The place may have recently been refurbished but maybe they should consider the staff being refurbished.

All round amazing!! Such good food and even better staff, lovely family run business, been made very welcome by them all and will continue to keep going back. Would highly recommend Bitter & Sweet.

A beautiful tasty cheese omelette & home made chips with a lovely Terry's Chocolate Orange Milkshake to drink. Pleasant and friendly atmosphere & very reasonably priced too. Well recommended

Tried to order now on 3 separate occasions and always get declined. What’s the point of being on there if orders are never accepted? Won’t bother again.

We ordered waffles yesterday but did not receive everything that was on the order. The food was lovely but was missing our ice cream :(

I have ordered jacket potatoes from here a few times at work, and they are amazing. However, i ordered waffles for the first time yesterday, and they sent these with no ice cream! By the time we would of gotten a batch of ice cream, we would've been left with freezing food.

I recommend this place so lovely food is amazing I will definitely be visiting again. The milkshakes are incredible!!!

I have been to this little restaurant/cafe a few times now because the waffles are absolutely delicious and they are great with my baby daughter. Tamworth town centre is seriously lacking independent food places that serve good food, fortunately this is a really lovely place to go where they serve nice food and have really friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Visited here for an afternoon tea with my 2 friends, was overly pleased with the amount of food for the brilliant price! Staff are very friendly & helpful, Would 100% recommend! The restaurant ask for you to book at least 1 day in advance for the afternoon tea!!

This was my first visit to Bitter & Sweet and I was very impressed. I went with my friend and our two small babies, they were very friendly when we arrived and made sure to accomodate us. It is a very relaxing atmosphere in the cafe, with a great choice of seating (both booths and tables).

Just eaten a beautiful jacket potato with cheese, ordered it & within 5 minutes it was in front of me ready to eat. Very tasty as they cook them in the oven early & you can't beat oven cooked jacket potatoes. The nice thing about this cafe is it is now open 9-late afternoon when it goes quiet so if you fancy a nice meal for teatime you can get one here. Nice & friendly polite staff with a beautiful atmosphere. I will certainly be back again

I have been to or ordered from this cafe on multiple occasions and really like the food and always have friendly welcome from the lady their it’s cheap and brilliant quality food would definitely recommend to anyone who has a sweet tooth or Evan likes a cafe lunch always my go to cafe now

I visit here regularly with my friend and our children, there is a welcoming atmosphere and I have always found the staff to be friendly and accommodating. My son enjoys the nutella waffles and there is a good range of hot drinks. Definitely worth a visit.

Even though on a Sunday this cafe only do breakfasts & quality Sunday dinners it is very well recommended. Today my husband & myself had an absolutely beautiful Roast Beef dinner today with Roast Potatoes Yorkshire Puddings & Fresh Vegetables followed by Waffles with Strawberries & Cream for myself & Waffles with Chocolate & Honeycomb with Ice Cream for my hubby.

We've been using this cafe for a while & have had their Sunday dinners on a regular basis, aswell as their weekday food too, the Sunday dinners consist of a choice of beef, chicken gammon & then on every alternate Sunday they do a Lamb dinner too, they also do all day breakfasts too. Then on weekdays along with all day breakfasts the menu consists of burgers, toasties, baked potatoes, panini's wraps, they also do home made chips & waffles with a choice of fillings too.

Ordered with Just eat and the restaurant cancelled my order for no apartment reason really unimpressed

Me he alojado aquí unas cuantas veces y nos encanta. La comida es preparada a la perfección y son muy complacientes en el ajuste de las cosas si no me gustó. Las chicas son muy agradable y no puedo esperar a volver. Razonable y probablemente el mejor desayuno de Tamworth.

after ordering from bitter & sweet several times, we have found delivery to be slow, after new owners took over delivery improved but food quality was not great, we ordered 5 salads for a work place. the lettuce was not fresh extremely dry.... there was no coleslaw or sweetcorn as advertised. most of our lunch went into the bin.

We order from here every Friday to eat in the office .everyone raves about the breakfast/ sandwiches/ hot food .we just had afternoon tea for a £5 and it was fantastic .the home made coleslaw is brilliant and the delivery lady is lovely :-)

Ordered breakfast from here via Just Eat system. Food originally should have been delivered at 11:05, but I had a notice to say it would be 11:35. I though thats ok, they are probably busy.However, at 12 noon, food still not here. Tried to call restaurant several times but no one answered. Used just eat chat system and operator got in touch with the restaurant and told me it would be delivered soon.Food arrived at 12:30 and lady driver was friendly enough. I told her that no one had tried to contact me, and she said she would get the manager to get in touch.Food was cold, toast was soggy, hash browns over cooked and meat products were swimming in cooking oil. Bacon was vile, most of the meal went in the bin.I WILL NOT be using this restaurant again, and I strongly advise others to think twice.

The cafe itself is lovely. You lose everything when you order from them online. NEVER had a problem in store but everytime I've ordered to my home it's been either burnt or dry.Great food in store though. Lovely staff too.

First time here but unfortunately the last. Turned up at 12.15 and the 3 of us asked for paninis. We're told one of the machines were broken so may take a "little" longer. 50 minutes later no sign of any food and had finished our coffees 30 minutes previous. No offer of a complimentary drink or water or any update or apology. We decided to cancel order as in almost an hour I could have nipped to Asda and bought the ingredients, gone home and make them myself. Didn't even get an apology when cancelled.

Me and my friend visited for tea and cake here a couple of weeks ago. Not only was the cake delicious, but the service was fast and friendly. The staff can't do enough for you. We felt so welcome and ended up staying for a couple of hours chatting away!The atmosphere there is so comfortable, especially as the place is quite quaint and small in the heart of the town centre, a lovely break from the rush of daily life.Thank you for a delightful lunch, your bacon sandwiches are to die for! Warm and fresh what else can you ask for?Can't wait to visit again.

Visited this place as used to go fairly regularly. new people there now who were friendly enough but... Place needed a good clean, coffee from a push button machine and food nothing special. Disappointed and probably won't go again.

I also tried the homemade coleslaw - something a lot of places can't seem to get right.- and it was brilliant. The plates coming out for the other customers all looked very good and the milkshakes looked great too. We will definitely revisit here.

I do not live in Tamworth but visit the cafe very often with my sister and my mother enjoys coming along too, the breakfasts are amazing but my ultimate favourite has to be the wraps they go down a treat! I like to finish of with a cake or ice cream sundae as they are delicious!!! Would highly recommend this place as I have never had a bad experience,The lovely ladies who work here make it a joyful time and if I didn't live too far I would 100% consider having breakfasts delivered to my door!

Had a delivery from here it took over an hour and a half BOTH times and orders wrong both times and the first time I ordered the delivery lady dropped my coffee on the drive!

We order from here occasionally and visit the shop and we have yet to be disapointed. The cakes are beautiful and taste amazing, and the baguettes and other hot food taste incredible too. The service is always fast and very friendly. If you have little ones, I highly recommend the children's cream tea, as my 3 year old daughter says "It's sooo yummy!" Great value for money too, and an asset to the town centre. I've ordered for my partner too, for when he gets home and now he can't wait to come back!Five stars, for sure.

Although we live in Tamworth we hadn't noticed this little café before as we don't tend to venture to that end of the town but will definitely head over this way again. We fancied an early lunch so decided to give it a try. It was nice and cosy with a really good selection of lunch and drink options. Although they were short-staffed they did their utmost to serve as quickly as possible and, as we were in no rush, it was not a problem. I had a panini which was served with some fresh salad and lovely coleslaw. My husband had the medium breakfast which was great value for money and perfectly cooked. Staff were friendly too - will definitely be back.

Often go here for lunch, always efficient, even when things go wrong they go the extra bit with customer service. Also the food is mordern & up to date. Great take out service too. Female run, right by the bus stop on Lichfield road for those day trippers/tourists arriving on the bus. Get off one stop before terminus & you're there! Very Popular with the locals always a good sign.

The other day i went to bitter and sweet with my m8 andy as we all ways do the food is always great and your always welcome there. The staff are great they always go that little bit more for everyone nothing is to much, its local just out of town centre but everyone goes there its always full of great people no matter wot time of day due to the staff and how they make you feel welcome so if your ever out and about pop in and take a look i bet you go back. Ttfn

I visit this cafe regularly with friends, it gets very busy at lunchtime but the girls are so helpful and friendly, nothing is to much trouble. Jacket potatoes are good value and the cakes are delicious

As the cafe is just outside the central area, it can easily be overlooked. This is a pity, because it's a really good value place for a tea or a light snack. The prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly and efficient. Give it a try.

We go there most weeks the staff are great and can't do enough for you the food is all fresh and taste really good we have a good laugh with the staff to the point as I am known as trouble as we walk in lol. Food ,service , and drink are exceptionally good it's now our regular cafe ( good times )

We visit at least once a week for a coffee and a DJ chat. Great breakfast friendly staff and some excellent choices of quality dessert.

They should stick to the coffees and cakes and sweets side of things.Lovely coffee. Fabulous milkshake made with chocolate bar and ice cream although we did see staff member pour a lot down ghe sink when she made too much ! But the breakfast sandwich was messy bread was too thin and the scrape of sauce was of the cheap and nasty kind.So if you want good milkshake or coffee and slice of cake or cupcake This is ghe place. Good prices too.

I visit this cafe most days. There is always a friendly hello and the food is always fresh and enjoyable. Bitter and sweet is worth a visit and you will want to return. Value for money and they do takeout if you don't have the time to sit in.

Been here a few times now & I have to admit I'm slightly addicted to the waffles eeekkkk (bad for the diet) the food is top notch & the service is fab, the lovely girls will always try to lend an ear too if needed overall I'd give this place 10 out of 10.

This new cafe is slightly out of the town, but is worth the walk. Its friendly staff were very welcoming. and the simple menu was reasonably priced and the food quality was very good. A great asset to Tamworth and well worth a visit.

New coffee shop in Tamworth, visited a few times for breakfast, lunch and late lunch, always busy which is a good sign.They serve a good range of hot and cold snacks, savory and sweet and the coffee is excellent.Things I really like about this place is how clean it always is plus how friendly everyone is, sort of feel more like a guest than a patron.Will definately be visiting againIt is always worth mentioning that they sell a range of handmade sweet gifts there too, something a bit unique and different.
