Went here for a family meal. We had 2 courses and all were very tasty, piping hot and well presented. All 3 of us came away with full bellies. Think we have found our new go to place for food. Staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Well done guys. See you soon

We went for Sunday lunch and we really enjoyed our time here. The food was great and the staff were really friendly. Shout out to Sarah who looked after us at the bar. After dinner we went for drinks outside, into the large fantastic beer garden. A must during the summer. Also CAMRA members are welcome. Top stuff.

Friendly welcome upon arrival for our booked table and once seated, Sharon B was straight over to take our drinks order. Fast and friendly service of drinks was followed by our food order that was served in a similar fashion to our drinks. The food quality and value for money was excellent and the overall lunchtime experience was nicely topped off by Sharon's pleasant demeanour with a little humour thrown in for good measure. Would definitely visit again when in the area.

Today my daughter, husband and I walked in and asked a member of staff if we could move a stool. There were three people at the table so a spare stool. She said yes. I then ( to ensure we didn’t block the bar ) moved the table in. The lady behind the bar said ‘don’t do that we have booking s on there all night’ . There was nothing on the table saying this - no reserved sign on it. We were planning to have a meal and drink. I said first of all what time is it booked but then decided to leave as my daughter said we don’t have to be spoken to like that. I told the woman there was no reason to be rude. I go regularly to meet with friends and have brunch and meals. I shall NOT be doing this again. If this member of staff is a manager she should be ashamed of herself. The other waitress smiled in an embarrassed way at me so understood where I was coming from.

4 family members had lunch just drinks and main courses. Unfortunately on that fish and fish fingers couldn't be cooked as the flyer had failed. But the meals we had were fine. The service was good from our waitress Margaret. Overall a present pub to have a meal.

Every time we come to The Fox, a great meal is guaranteed. We appreciate the choice of dishes and the presentation. However, it's the staff that really make the experience. They are so friendly and nothing seems like too much trouble. I look forward to our next visit!

I booked the fox as it had good reviews. Although I had heard a couple of negative things through friends I decides to make my own judgement. We were took to our table by the most depressed guy I've experienced in a restaurant. He obviously didn't want to be there. We ordered our food and after waiting 20 minutes got our starter. This was OK, nothing special, very bland I was hop9ng that the mark meal was better. We had to chase our mark after 25 to 30 minutes. The food was again bland with no presentation and tlc. I think because they just wanted numbers for mothers day every bit of tlc went out of the window... my daughters food was also luke warm.. the place is overpriced for what is no better than a back street pub.. staff 2/10 , food 3/10 at best value for money 0..

Excellent food at a very reasonable cost; my wife and I have recently visited the Fox several times for lunch and have been very pleased with both the quality of food and service. A particular thanks to Sarah.

Have tried other pubs in Tamworth, none compare with the the Fox Inn on Litchfield Road, the staff made my partner and myself very welcome on arrival, a very good selection on the menu, Sharon G who waited on could not have been any better. We will going back in the near future. David Naylor

Very rude personal. Time management extremely poor with very long waiting time- over one hour. Unacceptable attitude and waiting time. I would never recommend The Fox Inn Tamworth

Cannot recommend this eatery, sadly service was lacking, was left to wait for a table with my 94 year old relation while staff chatted at the bar, a long wait for drinks as once again staff busy chatting, the food was abysmal, dried fish and the pie was dry and hard, items missing and hard to find a member of staff, again chatting at the bar, there was one member of staff who is very good, however she was not our server on this particular day, desserts were cold as was the custard, would have complained but with an elderly relative it was not ideal,some staff training would not go amiss, the irony of a staff member asking for a positive review when leaving.

Our children took us here to celebrate my wife's upcoming birthday. We ordered our food, and at the same time we told the member of staff that was taking our order that we had a voucher via email for free dessert for all within the group. When asking to pay the bill, we was asked to show the email with the free dessert, my wife who had the voucher via email was asked by the waitress if she could take her phone and show this to a Member of staff, not sure if she was a manager, but she was not the most happiest person in the pub, she even came over and asked my wife if she could forward the email to an address so they could look into this, as they were not aware of this, yes they onourd the offer, but made us feel very uncomfortable about it. I will say the food was great, but the atmosphere was not so good, all the staff was ignoring each other, like it was all there first day on the job. We will not be going there again, first time, last time.

The Fox ( one Of two ) near Hopwas is within walking distance. I have always received a brilliant welcome and am relaxed in this spacious and well appointed venue. I mainly pop in on a Friday to meet my friends, who include staff and ex-staff who still hang out - and my regular guys, won’t be tempted by anyone else to go anywhere else. The food is sound. The garden when the climate is warm, is huge, with decent heated cover area. I have never had a cross word with any of the charming clientele, it’s an easy going place, and always have a great evening A safe bet, and an equally safe pair of hands The Fox is a well known, well run business. The pub was well appointed. The staff were very friendly and efficient, especially Sharon. The food was well presented and of a very high quality. A great experience all round.

Having eaten here previously, we were looking forward to lovely food and a catch-up with friends. We had mains and dessert, which were lovely, then it all went downhill! We asked our waitress for more drinks. Instead, we were served with the bill! Not quite what we asked for! When we queried this with another waitress, we were told "oh I thought this is what you asked for?" We were then told that they needed the table for a booking of 10, and we needed to leave the table. We had only been in there for an hour and a half! We were offered another table to sit at, but we could only have that for a further 30 mins! We paid up and left to go up the road to the Tame Otter, where we continued to catch up without being evicted from our table! At no point were we told that our table was for 90 mins, either when booking or when we sat down! Needless to say, we won't be rushing back.

Excellent food. Excellent service from our waitress was Margaret who was very attentive. Would definitely return for a third time.

Lovely host Margaret, was great with the kids! She was kind and spoke to the children directly- down to earth and helpful. We all ate well and left contented.

We stayed at Drayton Manor and decided to go off of resort for dinner. We stumbled upon the Fox Inn and we were absolutely not disappointed! The pub itself is very welcoming and a nice setting for dinner, the service was lovely and the food was outstanding. We went as a family of 4 (two parents, one child and one grandparent). We all had mains and desserts and couldn’t fault a single thing. The price was good too! All in all a wonderful experience. If you’re local, passing through or staying at Drayton Manor, then I would highly recommend. Thank you to the team for being so lovely and welcoming. Went here for an anniversary meal and really enjoyed the roast dinner especially the unlimited Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes and gravy. A special mention to Lucy who served us. She was really polite all the way through and did not feel like your standard waitress. Would come here again!

My husband and I have been frequent diners at the Fox for the last couple of years. The lunchtime menu has always been exceptionally great value, with a varied choice of food, including healthy options. However, on my most recent visit with my mum and two friends, we were bitterly disappointed with the drastic change in the menu both in terms of price and choice. My first choice on the menu (tortellini) was unavailable – and I was very surprised to discover that there was no other pasta option, eg lasagne, on the menu. I ordered a sandwich made with focaccia bread, which was very bland and disappointing. Two of our party chose the Hunter’s Chicken, which they both described as “rubbery” and were unable to eat it. These meals were deducted from the final bill and we were also offered free desserts - so fair play to the staff who, as always, were attentive and friendly, particularly our waitress, Margaret. We will, however, be giving the Fox a miss for a while. Hopefully, things will return to their usual high standards soon.

My daughter and I went to the Fox for Sunday lunch. She drank a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and I had a Pignon Grigio, both of which were good. We had mussels, daughter, and the large hot sausage roll for starters and they were good too. We then waited for an unacceptably long time for our main courses both of which were roast beef with a side of cauliflower cheese to share. .ost of the food was cold, the roast potatoes a pale imitation and the carrots and parsnips burned and pretty well tasteless. The cauliflower cheese was a very small portion which barely half filled the serving dish. With The Tame Otter just across the bridge serving far superior Sunday fare one would have thought that The Fox needs to do considerably better than this.

A really welcoming pub which felt cozy and warm. The new menu is really nice and some great choices. The pies were sensational!

Food nice enough even if the mash held its plastic microwave container shape on the plate. Alright pub, clean, tidy etc however after we’d finished our meal and I asked the waiter if it was ok to have two others join us on the next table to us for a drink he said “you want to make a clean table dirty?” Which I found to be rather rude seeing as there was only one other table of people sat in the whole restaurant area anyway, it takes less than 2 minutes to move empty glasses and wipe down a table but ok. So after paying our bill and feeling slightly evicted we moved to the bar area for a drink instead where the two members of staff where hard to find to actually order a drink. Not impressed overall, won’t be back in a hurry.
