The best restaurants serving British food in West Midlands

When we stay at St Georges Park, England training ground - this is where we go for an evening meal. The food is delicious, the hospitality is brilliant and the beer from the microbrewery is fabulous. If we could run a pipe from the microbrewery to St Georges our stay would be perfect. I would recommend a visit and to book your table. We ate quite late due to matches and training and the home made pizzas were all gobbled up but any food on the menu is recommended. There is a problem easily accessing the web site but don't be deterred.

Friday night dinner. Starters were disappointing.One meagre, other just not that good, Shame though, because main courses were very good,and the service from the girls was fine.

We booked for my 70th birthday as a family group we has the whole of upstairs The service was exceptional and the food is the best I’ve had in a long time i can recommend the duck Every member of the 21 of us enjoyed there meals Which is unusual there is usually some one that some thing is not to there liking Considering its only a small terraced property and can not accommodate many people there prices are very reasonable You can understand why its so popular you can not always get a reservation Im definitely going again In fact im there in a few weeks time for friends birthday Its a hidden gem in the area

Clearly a pub for regulars, young girl on the bar was good. What appeared to be manager/owner ignored me on three occasions to serve regulars first. Very poor

Well, it’s not like another brewery pub that I know but it will do! Bravo, apart from some choice wallpaper. No Cask Marque?

Very good service, nice food, very good range of food, very good portions, staff were friendly. Would definitely go again in the future.

I had the absolute pleasure of celebrating my 30th Birthday at Ravenmeadow on Saturday night. We had the best night, a massive thank you to Angela who my mum and sister worked with to make sure everything was perfect. I couldn’t have asked for a better evening. Highly recommend this venue to everyone looking for a beautiful space to host their special event. Thank you so much having us!

If you have never eaten at the Dog and Partridge then you really have missed out on lovely food and fantastic service. Six of us met up on Saturday night for a birthday celebration. The bar was full of locals watching the football and the rugby, but as our table was in a cosy room at the far end of the building we didn't hear a thing apart from when Wolves scored! It's a good idea to have a look at the menu online before you go as there are so many choices, and options within those choices. If you can't find anything on this menu that takes your fancy then you are impossible to please. We enjoyed and can recommend the minty lamb pie, braised brisket, hunters chicken and giant filled Yorkshire pud. Generous portions and all delicious. Desserts of ice creams, lemon cheesecake, syrup sponge and chocolate orange cake were also really tasty and thoroughly enjoyed. Our server for the evening was Laura and she deserves an extra-special mention. This is a lady who radiates first-rate customer service. Efficient, smiley, witty and caring; she is a gem. Our thanks also to Becky, one of the lovely staff, who baked a superb birthday cake for us and visited our table to ensure all was well. If you are looking for great food at a reasonable price, plenty of choice at the bar and top notch customer service, then look no further than this wonderful venue.

First time eating here and what a lovely place! Didn’t realise there was a downstairs, fabulous atmosphere! Sunday dinner was beautiful, highly recommend!

Great pizza!!! Don't bother with any other fast food pizza places. The food here beats them all. Delicious, authentic, freshly made pizza.

Lovely hot food, was so nice, have changed my ordering place now to this place ..... better roast than anywhere .

I booked the Moatshed for a surprise 80th birthday party for my mum. We had just over 50 guests and I would say this was a perfect number for the venue. I was given a wide choice of items to create an afternoon tea menu, along with access in the morning to put up decorations. Nothing was too much trouble for the team, even when we had people drop out at the last minute - we were even given one guest's full selection of vegetarian afternoon tea to take home for her, along with a large 'doggy bag of leftovers. They catered for various dietary requirements, including vegan and gluten free, with no problems at all. I cannot praise them all enough - all the staff were a joy to deal, the venue was spotless and we were really looked after.

Been here twice recently first time was midweek evening, came here because of good reviews, but was disappointed with the condition snd cleanliness of the place , the service was good , the food very average. Returned again on a friday evening, we had pre booked a table, it was busy upon arrival, waited at the bar for ages to get acknowledged, the table was not ready and dirty, we ordered 3 courses , the 2nd came first very quick but were left without cutlery, we the waited much longer for main to arrive and had no drink left , the staff were to busy to serve me. The food was not very nice, we left most of it . Will not be returning.

Came in for a meal with all of the family (all 10 of us) and was welcomed in to our table. The pub was busy but not crowded and got served in great time, we ordered food and couldn’t fault it would definitely recommend the southern fried Goujons small plates. Overall well priced and great food and pub will definitely be back.
