We spotted the sign for this on the drive through, so after visiting the castle, walked back to find it. So glad we did. We had the platter to share, not a single thing could be faulted. Service was excellent. We loved the look of the cakes but were just so full, so purchased 2 to take home for later that day. Really sad I forgot to leave a tip, too busy chatting to the staff & looking around so much to see, even a gin distillery. We will be back.

What a charming restaurant, been coming to Dunster for years and never had the opportunity to try it before. We had a set Christmas menu which we all loved, fabulous attentive staff who knew everyones name from the first course, and such a delightful ambience and festive decorations, thank you for such a great evening, we will be back!

In Dunster for a week and we ate here on four occasions! Breakfast, lunch, tea and cakes were all delicious. Looking forward to eating here again on our next visit

I drank at the lion inn for a couple of years and was constantly harassed by the local idiot. One evening the local idiot threatened and attacked me as l tried to leave,, avoid this pub at all costs !

We made a special stop here to buy some locally-made chocolates, as per the description on Tripadvisor, only to find out that all the chocolates they sell are now imported from Belgium. Disappointed the business owners can't be bothered to keep their listing up-to-date.

Lovely old pub but lunch was a bit of a mixed bag. Sardine starter was a bit dry but the bread was excellent. I enjoyed my meal of well cooked roast belly pork but my partner's Chicken pie was straight out of a supermarket aluminium tin and he was very disappointed.

Great breakfast, all cooked well. Not a criticism, but to make it even better the tomatoes could be swapped for tastier ones and the toast for thicker slices. Great service from the staff, friendly, efficient, polite and informative. Thanks

Have just been to Psalters for Sunday lunch to celebrate a friends birthday. The menu had some very interesting items on it but we opted for the roast beef. Veg were served separately and were perfectly cooked.Great value at £28 for 2 courses. The staff were so helpful and attentive. I am coeliac but almost everything had a GF option. We sat in an inner courtyard for coffee afterwards which was lovely. Very interesting old pub I would highly recommend.
