We have been staying in Dulverton for two weeks and had three visits to Tessa's Tea Rooms, in Dunster village. The food is the very best we have tasted for some time. All three visits we had the Bacon, cheese and onion relish panini, with Clasdic loaded Fries...YUM! The fries (Skinny) had melted cheese on, then sour cream and chives, then Bacon and fresh chives. We will be making both of them when we get home. The staff are so nice and very helpful, nothing is too much trouble. We will be back in 2024, for sure.

My husband and I went here for breakfast on the Sunday of our holiday in Dunster. We were welcomed by very pleasant young staff members who invited us to take a table and then order food & drinks from the menu at the serving bar. My husband had the traditional English Breakfast and I had the Egg Bacon & Sausage Sandwich. Our lattes were served very swiftly and the fresh and very plentiful breakfasts followed shortly afterwards. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were keen to know that everything was OK with our food and if there was anything else we needed. We went back to repeat our experience on the Thursday which was the last day of our trip only to discover to our huge disappointment that for some reason the cafe was closed that day - but it will be our first breakfast stop the next time we visit the village!

Stopped off here for food and drink whilst looking around the village. We sat in the pretty back garden of the tea room. Service was very friendly and the food was delicious. Honest and fairly priced food. My daughter loved her fresh banana milkshake and a generous plate of crumpets. We chose fruit scones as the young girl serving said they were freshly made that morning. They were beautifully tasty. Lovely cup of tea and nice coffee. This is actually our second visit here having remembered it from our last holiday in 2022. We decided to return and were not disappointed. Lovely place!

This is one Tea shops in Dunster I like to take friends and family to when they come to visit. The girls behind the counter are very friendly and the food is always good.My mother in law and I usually have the soup which is always healthy and a great taste and a cake as a treat.I went Monday 26th August, we ordered, the food came out apart from the pancake stack with was ordered for my husband.I had one mouthful of soup it stuck to the top of my mouth and scalded the roof of my mouth, I was in agony, my husband told them and asked for ice, it was so painful tears were rolling down my cheeks which was made me very self conscious. The ice helped a bit but it was an awful experience of course I didn’t eat the soup. The manager/Owner knew and didn’t even come over to see if I was ok?At the end of the meal, I said the soup was actually served boiling, and dangerous for customers, he just said well it goes in the microwave the same time, I told him that it was boiling again to reiterate. He didn’t even asked if I was ok, then said do you want your money back? Yes, he gave me the money back for the soup.I asked if he would do an incident report, which he was surprised at, so with that confirmed I was sad that he didn’t give a hoot. Will not go there again to spend my well earned cash.AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE IF YOU SCALD YOURSELF FROM SCALDING HOT SOUP, DON’T EXPECT ANY SYMPATHY OR ANY KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE.

We managed to eat one of the 2 each that we were given and when we were paying mentioned the problem. Although we received an apology, we were told we should have mentioned it earlier and then they would have given us fresh scones from another batch. No money off was forthcoming, because we'd eaten a scone each, even though we'd left two.

Had Cheese scone tea, Brie and caramelised onion sandwiches. Great portion size, fantastic value and superb service. Highly recommended. Hope to come back one day.

Wij zijn hier geweest met onze dochter van 16 en hebben een geweldige lunch gehad, heel redelijke prijs en verrassend goed en verse eten. Heel leuk zaakje.

We had cream tea there and it was very good indeed. Sitting outside in the nice weather was lovely as we people watched. Dunster is a lovely little town.

Having been subjected to offensively bad food yesterday at Butlins, this lovely lunch with a beautiful salad was just right. Beautiful presentation and lovely vinaigrettes. A big round of applause 👏🏽 for this place
