The cafe was busy when we arrived for a late lunch. There was a very warm welcome, efficient staff took our order quickly and then double checked they had it right. Food arrived quickly and freshly cooked, piping hot and delicious. An excellent cafe highly recommended.

Gutted, it has closed down! Went to an alternative trendy and pricey one and regretted it, hope you are enjoying your retirement guys, probably won't be returning to Ashburton, shame!

Fantastic bakery, cakes and bread were top quality. Good range of products that are produced in the premises . You can tell how great the cakes and breads etc are by how busy it is.

Absolute gem of a place. Wonderful, friendly staff in a lovely establishment. We had scones with clotted cream and jam, delicious! Dog friendly too! Thoroughly recommend and would definitely visit here again.

So popped in here and was going to opt for a traditional breakfast but instead went for a cheese and ham omelette and it was lovely nice and fluffy and full of flavour, will definitely be paying another visit...

Renovation has made this previously tired area worth a visit. It is bright and airy especially on Market days and quite well supported. So give it a try when visiting Newton.

Have been to a number of great events in the Corner Flag, birthday parties and wakes. They really do cater for everything and anyone excellently. Would have no problem in recommending it as a venue!

Visited this morning. Had walked passed on our walks. Mum was visiting so as such a nice day decided to stop and have a drink and cake. Well what can we say lovely coffee afternoon tea and service with a smile. Will be back.

My sister and I were on holiday for a week in Paignton but we purposefully went back to the BakeHouse in Teignmouth three times for lunch the food is amazing baked by themselves and very reasonably priced we will definitely visit again when in that area thank you to everyone at the BakeHouse

We had a lovely meal at the restaurant last night, having heard about it in the local press. The food was freshly cooked and imaginative, beautifully presented, and the service was swift and attentive. Maybe the only downside is that the wine list was very limited, but the wine we had was excellent. The setting here is great, but surprisingly the place was far from full. That was good for us, but small independent restaurants need support, so please consider visiting. We'll certainly be back.

What a great find. Great menu selection - I had full traditional breakfast - AMAZING. Lovely people too. Well worth a visit.

Absolutely fantastic. Great food, great atmosphere. Probably the best fine dining restaurant near Exeter. You really have to try it.

This is a perfect place for refreshment during a hike (in our case The Eden Way). We arrived soaking wet and were welcomed by friendly people and a log fire and local beers. It felt like a dream because we were cold and wet and were not expecting to find an open pub!
