100% customer service!! The Land lady was the first to welcome me, the locals made me feel like I was home away from!

I bought lovely fresh bread and organic butter however there are also health products, fresh vegetables etc.

Lovely old hotel in the middle of nowhere. Food was good. Service was okay but a bit rushed , taking plates away the second you have finished and asking if you wanted desserts. Apart from that everything was good. Would eat here again.

Lovely pub with great food (delicious Sunday roast, including the veggie option), excellent beers and helpful service.

Fish meal deal is good value. Fish always good quality

Three of us had a lunch time meal and sweet. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our different meals.The ciders and beers were an excellent addition. Cannot believe the value for money. Well done Steve and the team. This was not our first visit and certainly not our last

Just stopped for a quick breakfast and gotta say it was delicious!!! I had the large bacon roll and it was enormous and delicious Will definitely stop here again, great service and all cooked fresh in front of us. A+++++++

La mesa se sentía muy aplastada y el servicio no era muy bueno. La comida era excelente, pero podría haber hecho con un poco más de verduras. Popped in for a quick drink before going for dinner. Beautiful original building with lots of character. Great service from the staff and a lovely place to sit and have a drink.

Suggest you upgrade the room as otherwise it's likely to be very small. Im not sure what went wrong when we stayed. The reception desk is in the bar, so it can be a long wait for service. We were shown to an incorrect room, quickly resolved. However, due to a mistake in supply ordering by kitchen staff, further waiting in the restaurant ensued. only to find numerous dishes on the menu were not available.... after the 3rd choice was unavailable, I'd regretted not dining elsewhere. The staff do try hard under some difficult circumstances, however. The area is lovely, and the hotel has character.

What a surprise ! We are up on a short trip from Kent , renting a cottage, decided to give this place a try on the spur of the moment Wednesday night. No reviews for a year - Why ? Doesn’t help make an informed decision - I can honestly say that the food was superb on all counts - couldn’t fault anything . 3 of us , Pigs cheek , chicken terrine , cheddar soufflé to start. 2x halibut with a curry sauce, 1 x steak as mains - with triple cooked chips. Puds were cheesecake and a caramel tart. We have eaten at some great restaurants- and I can honestly say- this rates among the best of them - I can’t fault anything. Service was ok - waiter was more interested in chatting to his male colleague than attending to diners - but still ok. Congratulations chef - you certainly know how to cook and present top quality food. Thoroughly recommended

We’d booked this for a family meet up. Was really pleased with the food and particularly the beer. I’m a lover of cask/craft beers and they had a great selection. Plus it’s dog friendly.

Has changed hands again very recently. So we went for lunch on a tuesday. The food took nearly an hour to be served. It was overpriced. The chicken and bacon salad I had had no bacon. I had to ask for it. It has been forgotten! The chicken was burnt and it was a small portion. We used to eat here all the time, but after this and the last meal we had last year, we won't be returning. Have been to two other pubs owned by this company recently and they were so much better. Even though the menu was the same, they were better value, better portions and much nicer food.
