Well, it was our final visit to the Lakeside Cabin last week. What a wonderful hidden gem this cafe is, and it is going to be very much missed by so many, now that it has closed its doors. The food exquisite, so tastefully presented, especially all those gorgeous cakes, mouth watering! The location and setting, along with the amazing family who ran it made it a very happy place to be. Thank you ‘A’ team, for making our trips an unforgettable and enjoyable experience. So sad that you have gone, but we wish you all the best in your new venture. We will DEFINITELY come and find you at Pydar Mews in Truro.

After a very good, if not muddy walk up the coastal path we treated ourselves to a relax and drink at this fabulous pub. Situated in Zennor the Tinners arms is a great place to eat and drink. We had a pint of Ludhingtons and a Malbec both excellent. Even better we sat out in the sun and soaked up the warmth on the 1st day of Spring

Firstly I rarely leave reviews, unless something is particularly good or bad. This is for the latter.... We went for a Sunday Carvery with friends. On arrival, the place looked lovely and was clean and we were greeted nicely. The Waiting staff were very nice, but the lady in charge/owner(?) was very scary, felt like a child at school being told off by the head mistress, as she barked for you to not to do this and that. Cold and rude. Not very welcoming at all! The food was underwhelming and served to you like you're at school also. The 3 roast potatoes and 3 roast parsnip pieces were undercooked and I couldn't cut one of them, let alone eat it. It made the knife bend!?! The Yorkshire puddings were soggy, the overcooked carrots were batoned so thinly, with black bits still on them, I'm pretty sure they were frozen carrots. The cauliflower cheese was nice but there was so little if it, that once it had gravy on top, it disappeared after one bite! For dessert I had pavalova, at £8.95. For this price I expected a nice chunk of home cooked, crunchy and chewy, pavlova but got 2 pre packed, individual 'supermarket style' meringues with some whipped cream and fruit. Incredibly underwhelmed by the whole meal. We won't be returning or recommending.

We chose to ignore the bad reviews and try it anyway. In a positive note, my son enjoyed his Full English breakfast. However, my veggie sausages were 'cremated' rendering them inedible and my eggs were burnt on the bottom. My husband's fried egg bap had cheese in it. Glad he's not dairy intolerant. I only enjoyed the bottled orange juice. Definitely a tourist trap because of where it is and people probably won't read reviews before going in. Young staff were pleasant enough but looked like they'd rather be somewhere else. £38 for 3 of us for breakfast, pretty awful really.

This used to be an affordable pub with a lovely view, now it's extremely overpriced, almost £8 for a pint and the waiting staff wouldn't leave us alone! They even put a service charge on our drinks! Such a shame because this used to be a great place before it was taken over.

Burnt pasties. Not the usual standard. Almost inedible, ate around the the worst bits. We are very loyal customers, we expect better. I feel it’s harder to complain when you get to know such lovely staff.

Went for lunch with 3 friends. Disappointed with the food. Small portions not good value for money. I don’t think I will be going again.
