Nice old pub with very friendly & efficient staff. However the price of food is extortionate. £9.00 for a cheese & branston pickle. The brown bread was just plain sliced bread. Not impressed.

We stayed at Zennor for one night during our hiking trip through the south west coast path. The tinners arms is a pub which is directly connected to the bed and breakfast called "white house". While we stayed at the white house we had dinner at tinners arms and it was amazing. The pub itself looks really cozy and everyone there was polite and helpful. My wife had a burger and I got a chili bowl. Without any doubt i can say that this was one of the best chili bowls I ever had. If you are in the area and you look for a place for dinner i can highly recommend tinners arms and if you need a place to stay the night you can book a room in the white house its worth it.

Just returned from 11 days in Cornwall, having attended The Tinners Arms second beer festival. What a treat! The weather was great, the hosts Mel, Rob & their team are absolutely second to none. They are so friendly, helpful, and genuine. Nothing is too much trouble, and they did us all proud, from all of the fabulous real ales, especially Skinners Betty Stoggs! To the wonderful selection of food, accompanied by excellent bands and a fabulous backdrop. A shame it had to end :( can't wait for next year, well done Mel & all at The Tinners Arms. You are truly fabulous! Keep up the brilliant work, Martyn & Family.

As many people - arrived here after a very difficult walk. Hot and tired. Desperate for some decent grub. Ate what I can only describe as one of the best burgers I’ve eaten. Eating it in their sunny garden also was an added bonus.

What a find! We've been before and I was so glad to see that it hasn't changed, apart from some fancy covered seating in the garden. First and foremost, great selection of real ales. So hard to find anywhere in Cornwall that doesn't just have Tribute and DoorBar. Tinners has its own brew anlong with other great ales. The food? Well the fish and chips is really, really good! Where else will you get samphire with your fish and chips? Good portion size, great chips, great batter. 10/10. The garden is lovely with distant views of the valley, various birds looking for the odd chip! Just have to watch the wind direction as the septic tank can waft across now and again! Really traditional inside too. Such a great pub!

Cant put into words how much we enjoyed our stay. The room was amazing.... only complaint was the towel rail being hotter than the Sun which quite badly burned my wife's leg as the bathroom is quite small,, But no big deal. We just turned it off. The location is lovely, peaceful and dark at night and the food is spectacular, genuinely great. Try the Crab Sandwich and the Loaded nachos....and if you're brave, the ploughmans....the cheese portions are epic...actually left some as it was so big Staff were really really lovely and really receptive to questions etc...although on the first night I commented on the design of the barmans necklace, to which he candidly and really openly informed me he was a genuine Devil worshipper who practiced rituals etc...as a Christian I found this a tad uncomfortable, but its not my place to judge anyone's beliefs...although ill give the fella 10/10 for honesty but maybe there was a little oversharing on his part, I'm not sure thats the impression the tinners want to be giving guests especially with Zennors alleged association with occultist Alistair Crowley...i think this would deeply offend some people...but In the end it was me who asked the question I suppose and he was friendly enough.... curiosity and the cat etc. If I were to make a suggestion to guests it would be this... The pub has been there for 700 years, its a small local pub in a really remote part of Cornwall with obscure times for food and closing etc. Respect that. Its not a big chain pub designed to cater for big groups and families and huge multi table orders. If you go there expecting to throw your weight around and click your fingers at staff then you'll be met with indifference. Just respect local custom and accept that you're a guest in a small pub with its own quirks and you won't go wrong. The breakfast was great although ill be honest I do like privacy when I eat and didn't really like the big communal table in the white house breakfast room and didn't enjoy the awkward silence sat with a couple of contractors working locally for breakfast. But whatever.. its a lovely room and the service and food was top marks. Will we come again? 100% yes. Really recommend it to anyone ESPECIALLY in the winter...the mist and murky weather were really spooky and added to the ambience for us. Nothing major put us off and everyone was really really lovely..

Dropped into The Tinners arms for Lunch on a cold blustery February day. Opened the door to be greeted with a warm blast of welcoming air from the large log fire at the end of such a typical Cornish village pub. Ordered lunch for 3, and the food was delicious and quick. The beef stew was to die for on such a winters day. Good value too. Highly recommended

After a brisk walk along the cliffs we went to The Timmers Arms for some much needed refreshment. I’ve got to say the whole experience from when we entered the front door was superb! As a Cornishman, I’d like to think i have a good nose for decent beers and I certainly wasn’t let down, great taste, great service. The ambiance was also very welcoming, the fire made the area very nice to be in. The food, it was also very tasty, good portions and very well presented. Wow, just wow. From the moment we opened the door to this special place we felt at home. Log fire burning, happy hum of people chatty in a very cosy bar and well behaved dogs lying on the stone floor worn out from their day of walking. We were shown to our room which was newly refurbished and had everything we needed. Back down at the bar there was a selection of games, looking around people were playing them and chatting. We ordered dinner which was tasty, hot and the calamari was amongst some of the best we have had. It was our anniversary, the bar staff added candles to our desserts which was a lovely surprise. Speaking to people in the pub it is obvious that this is a favourite amongst walkers and locals alike. We are neither, we just wanted an escape for a few days. This pub is perfect for all of the above. It is ideally placed for getting to St.Ives or Penzance easily but away from all the hustle and bustle. Our little dog roamed freely and safely and enjoyed many cuddles from staff and guests. There is a guest house attached where we had breakfast on our last 2 mornings. A great space where we could relax in the day with a book or sit in the large kitchen with a drink in the evening and pretend that we lived here!!! Finally, I can’t leave this review without mentioning the staff. They make the stay, we felt like part of the family straight away. Mel is at the heart of everything. Leading by example nothing was too much trouble. There was plenty of advise on the local area too which changed a few of our visit choices for the better. Clare was our main breakfast server and also cleaner in fact she was one very busy lady. That did not stop her being fabulous taking the time to chat to us, pet the dog and ensure our breakfast needs were met all at once. Breakfast is ace by the way. All of the staff were great sorry if I haven’t mentioned you by name. This is a great team, a great place, lovely food and fabulous atmosphere. Thank you for your kindness and hospitality.

The Tinner's Arms is a beautiful, historical pub with friendly service and a coastline to fill several postcards. Alas, their roast was a little disappointing. At £18 my buddy and I both left hungry. This is surely an anathema for roast dinners? I left dreaming of beans on toast. A few more spuds and thicker cuts of meat would have been welcome. A little more generosity on the portion size, Tinner's? Or an option for a larger plate for hungry walkers of an ordinary physique? I hope to return one day to a heartier plate.

Called into the Tinners Arms on our arrival at our holiday area on Jubilee Friday lunchtime. Got a seat in the garden easily and had a lovely lunch in the sun. Food all homemade and a good Gluten Free selection to be had.

Such a wonderful place to sit outside and eat a leisurely lunch. We had light bites - mackerel pate and calamari which was astonishingly good. All served with a friendly smile and welcome

Stopped in as part of our SWCP walk. The main bar is a bit dark but the dining area behind is light and airy. Nice ales and good pub food (fish and chips and chilli). Decent portions and a friendly young barman. Glad we visited

A great old part of the pub, dark and atmospheric. The rest of unremarkable, but food and ales well presented.
