Delicious meal and excellent service with fabulous views. Menu choice offers something a little different and this fabulous restaurant has a central open kitchen. I had the Asian fish and my husband had the lamb shank, both were delicious.

Being local we'd been looking forward to visiting the newly refurbished Station House. However, the cost of the drinks and over attentive service - our table was visited by various staff NINE times in the time it took me to a drink a pint - has put us off returning. Don't know how it will fare in the winter as locals will not paying those prices.

No chance of me ever stepping foot in this place again, I got charged, wait for it, £7.65 for a pint of lager!! Absolutely disgraceful. No wonder there were only the two of us at 3.30 on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon. I'm local, even had our wedding party in there 16 years ago, when it was a proper pub.

Walking out from Penzance to Marazion this was a handy place to stop for drinks and a rest, with a helpful cheerful service. My partner had a mug of tea, with cider for me. As befits an old railway building there was some railway memorabilia on the walls, and we would call in again when walking the coast here.

We were on Marazion Beach and wanted coffees and sandwiches I saw on the side of the pub it had written Open All Day with an a board outside listing the menu. When I tried the door it was locked with a notice on door saying not open until midday. I went back there were two female staff behind the bar, nobody greeted me no customer service at all, they couldn’t work the card machine, they weren’t serving any food, there coffee machine ran out immediately after first trying it. It was appalling and the interior of the pub was extremely scruffy and run down. The two women serving had no idea about customer service. I should have walked away but it was the hottest day of the summer so far so we wanted our coffees. Unfortunately they were awful as well and we threw them away. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Barman was very rude/ abusive and obviously didn’t want to be there. Think he may need to check the rules as he refused a 16 year old for a pint of coke as he was told he had to be 18. Pub obviously hasn’t been properly cleaned for years and your feet stick to the carpet . It’s not a surprise that this pub had no custom.

We popped in for a drink after walking back from Penzance to Marazion. The place looks okay from the outside but inside is very different. It is very tired and has very old decor, and the toilets were disgusting. The young girl behind the bar didn't know how to greet or smile at us and just grunted when I placed our drinks order. Such a shame as this place could be so good.

Lovely friendly lady in charge. (Lucky it was not busy as she seemed to be on her own) At first things seemed to be in place re:covid etc. Sanitiser and test and trace at least. However the tables didn't appear too clean and unfortunately watched another couple come in and sit at a table that hadn't been cleaned from previous customers. To be fair they obviously weren't bothered and the lady didn't say anything to them! A sort of one way system in and out but again it was just lucky it wasn't busy as it wouldn't have made much difference. Lots to chose from on the menu. Drinks came quickly (coke was very watered down) Food didn't take too long. Fish was dry and mainly batter. Chips were nice and the little bit of side salad was fresh. The place needs a good clean and refurb as it's in a fantastic location and I think if the outside was cleaned up they would have been busier. Such a shame.

We spent one week near Longrock Cornwall and while there found the Station House was a really great place to eat so spent all 7 days enjoying lunch there and the Sunday one was a lovely roast lamb dinner. They took great care in making sure everyone entering the establishment wore a face mask used the hand jel and entered your name and phone number each visit to ensure the maximum safety precautions over the corona virus which to us was most satisfactory both being over 80 years old plus underlying medical problems. The place was clean and tidy and marked out where to go and the staff were really lovely, we have booked to go to Cornwall next April and assured Stephany the lady in charge we will certainly be with them again.

I've driven past this places hundreds of times and I never even knew it was there! I went in today with my mum and a friend to have some lunch, we sat in the conservatory by the window looking out over Marazion beach and St. Michael's Mount. It was lovely and warm in there, plenty of space between the tables so we weren't just crammed in. The decor is quite dated and dark, could do with a spruce up. The ladies at the bar were really friendly and so helpful, we all ordered fish and chips. It was brought to our table piping hot, sadly it wasn't all that great. It was quite greasy and the salad was stale and brown. But that's just one thing on the menu other items might be different so I would definitely go back again to try something else on their menu.

We visited Mounts Bay as a family meeting up with other family members. The idea was to have a meal then go onto the beach. The food was appalling. The service was not welcoming and at the time my gut feeling was telling me not to even bother.I nearly didn't order for myself I was dithering when placing the order, the place is a dirty boozer but in the spirit of other family members (group of 7 more people) I complied and ordered just to be sociable. If visiting with my own family we would not have placed any order whatsoever.Safe options such as fish and chips x 2 Bbq chicken x 2 Spicy chicken starter to be served as a main meal and 2 Turkey dinosaurs with chips x 2 at £4.99 eachI was sensible with my drink and decided to just order a glass of water, we ordered the drinks after the food because they were doing last food orders 15 minutes earlier than scheduled at 2.15pm by this time I was not wanting to be there and just ordered a glass of water. Many of the family did not eat their meal. My teenage boys who ordered bbq chicken were unimpressed and said it was disgusting.I ordered a starter to eat as a main meal spicy chicken wings which were soggy and looked like they had been thrown in some sauce and cooked in the microwave or pushed around a pan then put onto some lettuce. They were so bad I could not eat them and left them altogether. The children did not eat their Turkey dinosaur meals they did not even eat the chips they did eat a few peas. One of my sons did not touch his fish and the boys did not eat their bbq chicken My husband took the fish home and fed it to the dogs who seemed to enjoy it. So it ended up as rather expensive dog food. The meal for 5 adults and 2 children meals came to £57 The drinks cost an additional £20What a complete waste of money! The alternative would have been much better to go to the beach with a bag of pasties, chips or McDonalds which was my preferred choice as the food would have been tastier. It has to be one of the worst bar and restaurants I have ever visited and a complete waste of money. The beach is very nice My advice is take your own food and flask of tea/coffee instead!

This place could and should be an excellent addition to the area, it has parking, beautiful views of Penzance and St Michaels mount, and access to the beach, outside seating area and conservatory, however, it needs a massive revamp, it’s very dirty, smelly and dated, inside and outside. The staff were very miserable moaning about being understaffed. The carpet was filthy, outside was very uncared for. The glasses were dirty, no way were we eating there......Whoever owns this place needs to take a long look at the potential of the place.....it could be an absolute delight. Why arent they utilising it? Such a shame as there are not many places with parking locally, where we can walk the dog settle him in to the van and pop to the pub for a drink and something to eat.

Popped in for an early evening meal 16/5. Stepping over rubbish between my car and the shabby doorway, walked through a smokers area fitted out with old coach seats and oddments of stained foam rubber (1st impressions? I had by now decided probably not going to eat here!) entered the dingy old fashioned carpeted bar (decor1970?) didnt welcome the conversational attempt from a local drunk at the bar, looked at the plastic table clothed tables out in the dining area/conservatory?, felt the sticky plasticised menu cards and settled for a small Amstel instead of choosing a meal. There were 2 dogs in the bar area so no worries on that particular days dog owners might like to note. My lager was warm and flat and since there were bits floating in it I didn't finish my drink. No sign of barman as I was leaving, nor of the drunk either. 3am awake with stomach ache and diarrhoea, could only think it was the dirty lager. All in all I would not take my dog there. The place should be closed down, better still gutted and rebuilt making better use of the wonderful position. I was ashamed of what it might be doing to Cornwall's tourism industry. Visit Falmouth and see what good, clean, 21st century catering is all about.

A bit like going back to the eighties but in a good way, the station house is an old fashioned pub with reasonably priced kid friendly food. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the views are spectacular. It looks a little bit scruffy but is far nicer than the usual identikit chain pubs.

This is probably one of the best meals we have have for a very very long time. Stumbled on it by accident , only to find out that when my mother was alive it was one of their favorite haunts. Right from walking in the welcome was amazing(Ali) The food was incredible , if passing a must , wonderful views over St Michaels Mount . We will be back xxx

Visited for a family meal whilst on holiday - took my 4 year old little girl the toilet and saw a woman use the toilet and leave without washing her hands this turned out to be the waitress who served us our meals! The restaurant displays an aggressive sign stating that children and dogs are welcome provided they are kept under control - like children and dogs are the same breed ?? Food basic/below average drinks flat only good thing really is view

went in for a pint on Saturday afternoon the drinks came in dirty glasses, there was a group of people at the bar (locals) complaining about the tourists the were keeping there pub going! We sat outside as it was a nice day and the smell from the toilets was creeping into the bar! We didn't finish our drinks and left. The pub would be an absolute gold mine if the staff were on the ball and it had a good clean.

I have been here a few times with my friends and our dogs over the winter months as it is only during the winter I we can walk our dogs on Marazion beach and this was the closest place to pop in to get a hot drink and the dogs sat or played under the table. Then out of the blue we were told if the dogs make any noise we would have to sit outside on a January day, this upset us four 50+ friends and suggested we would not come back again! The décor is shabby so taking the dogs in there from the beach didn't concern us or the staff before the last visit as they provided water and biscuits for the dogs, that the dogs could do any damage. When the hot chocolate machine was working it was quite nice but my friends had coffee on one of these occasions and said it was like dish water. It is a place I would never recommend to anyone with dogs because it seems they are no longer wanted in this place! The place could do with a good clean and refurbishment as it is very shabby and tatty and the windows are so dirty you can't see their spectacular views, shame. Some of the staff seem helpful and pleasant and others very rude indeed the manageress has informed me in an email QUOTE:"......I think the best course of action is to totally agree with you not to visit The Station House anymore."On that note we would never enter the property again and suggest if you love your dogs as much as we do you wouldn't be happy frequenting with The Station House!

A large circle of my friends and family use The Station House on a regular basis and have done for 25 years. It is always friendly and the staff are very welcoming, particularly the manageress Stephanie. I've never felt it necessary to write a review about anything before, but then I read the shameful reviews from Lee S and Catkin 19. It's clear that they are part of the same group as their reviews are nearly identical. I recognised these people immediately by the way they described themselves, and the nature of their unfounded complaint. The truth is, that if this "come lately" mob and their dirty, smelly, unruly dogs were to continue using the pub, I for one would have stopped going there for lunch. By their own admission they have been "regular customers" over the winter months, which begs the question, "why?". According to their review the place is a dump and the staff are rude, hardly a place to return to a second time, much less regularly. Can't be that bad can it! The problem is of their own making as each time they came in they took more and more liberties by bringing in dogs still wet from the sea, letting them off their leads, allowing them to get up onto the seats, and generally causing a nuisance to other people in the pub. I heard many complaints from other customers and agreed wholeheartedly that these weren't the type of people you would want to share a pub with. As for the small crowd of local men who "prop up the every day" yes, they do sit at the bar most days, and I would imagine they spend a shilling or two! So, if the staff listen to their complaints, who can blame them? Perhaps the decor could be freshened up but I find the place is generally clean, and holds a 5 Star rating from E.H.O. for the kitchen. (The certificate is prominently displayed!) If the upholstery is a little grubby, it isn't helped by this mob allowing their wet, smelly dogs onto the seats. it seems a bit rich to then complain! I love The Station House, the views are spectacular and sitting outside in the summer is one of lifes pleasures. These two reviews are totally false and unfair, and seem to be based purely on retaliation for being asked to behave in a civilised manner. Personally I'm thrilled that I won't be seeing them in there again. Finally, I've lived in Marazion for a considerable number of years and have never seen these people before, the small crowd of local men (I'm not among them) on the other hand are popular local businessmen mostly.

I've always considered this to be a pub, not a restaurant ... We have been using it regularly since about October for coffees and snacks after walking the dogs, but won't be any longer .... The pub is in an excellent position, with lovely views of the sea and St. Michaels Mount, the staff have always been friendly and pleasant, offering our dogs treats and water ..... The trouble lies with the small crowd of local men who prop up the bar every day ... Our dogs play quietly together under the table with sometimes a playful yap and other customers have enjoyed watching them ... but for some reason, they offend the locals at the bar, who have seen fit to complain ..... The décor is very shabby with dirty, dusty seats and cobwebs, The coffee/hot chocolate machine could do with replacing as it is often not working and bunged up, as it was again today, resulting in no hot chocolate and coffee that tasted like dishwater {promptly replaced for us by a friendly polite member of staff} The whole place could do with a good makeover to take real advantage of it's prime position.....

Dump of a place to go with shabby décor and staff which aren't much better. Before I had a chance to take my coat off a bigot in the pub had complained about my dog and my friends dogs. We have been regular customers over this winter, we walk our dogs on the beach then go into the pub for hot chocolate, coffee or tea and a KitKat and we have had a meal in this place, although only the once, that was enough. The complaint was expressed to my friend that the dogs 2 young German Shepherds and 1 Husky were making too much noise and were on the seats, this was said while all three were lying down under the table in the corner of the room and were quiet! However i would like to point out it seemed to be ok for a dog sitting in the dining area where people eat and bark several times, clearly they were being prejudiced against our dogs, so the sign on the window saying 'dogs welcome' is a load of rubbish!!! We are 4 local people who will never enter that pub ever again, it must be good to have a business where you can afford to turn people away. I would never recommend this place to anyone!

Food and service only average quality but location is excellent. Lots of car parking. Best used for a snack or drinks if using the beach. If going for evening out better spend just a little more and go to one of the large choice of eateries in Marazion itself. Good range of foods and decent value for money.

We used to love popping in here when we were in Truro, you would be lucky to get a seat but now it’s take your pick. In a nutshell the place has lost its soul.

Festive Afternoon Tea this afternoon was very disappointing. It is clearly a stop gap to keep income trickling in between Sunday lunch and evening dinner service. The biggest issue is with the service, very inattentive, unconcerned staff not in the slightest bit interested in providing a professional level of attention. The afternoon tea was acceptable but not exactly delightful let alone memorable or to be recommend to others. Delightful setting with the hotel beautifully appointed and well decorated for Christmas, just a pity the staff were not switched on at all. Management at fault and it would appear no investment made in staff training.

For a spot of lunch, my wife and two children decided to eat here. Never again. We settled on the beef style kebabs (on a skewer). With rice. The beef was tough, tastless, rough and badly cooked. I was a butcher, I should know! Rice was microwaved but still undercooked! The salad that came with it was soggy, rotten and floppy. The best part of the meal was the kids fish goujons. We spent 70 quid (including drinks) on some of the worst food I've eaten.
