Burnt pasties. Not the usual standard. Almost inedible, ate around the the worst bits. We are very loyal customers, we expect better. I feel it’s harder to complain when you get to know such lovely staff.

Very poor experience, quality of service rather lacking. Called in at 10.10 to enquire about the need to pre-order, and was told by the assistant, before she rather rudely left to answer a telephone call, that it wasn't necessary. Returned at 12.35, to be told that we should call early because stock sells quickly!! BY THE SAME ASSISTANT! Really disappointed, and won't be back, and would have to advise friends and relatives of my unsatisfactory service.

BEST IN CORNWALL Sadly I’ve had some awful pasties in Cornwall but not here! Been twice (as not local) over the last two years and without doubt these are the best pasties I’ve ever had! + great coffee and cakes too!

Landlady recommended this place. Went in around 2:20pm. Bought a £4.60 pasty and a bottle of Fanta and went to sit at the window bench and table only to be rudely informed that that area had been cleaned and we couldn't sit down. The advertised opening times shows a 4:00pm closing time. Clearly keen to take your money then throw you out. Need a lesson in customer service. Pasty was ok when we ate it in the car.

Worst Pasty I have ever had. Stone cold and tasted vile. Raw onions. What a waste of money. Avoid this place even the comerical places like rowes and warrens are better than this travesty.

Sorry but I just find the staff abrupt and this is not the first time I have felt like this. I very rarely write Trip Advisor reviews and took the chance of coming here today in the hope that the staff's attitude had improved.... no such luck.

Their Cornish Pasties are EXCELLENT! In addition to getting one for your luch, why not order a dozen to take back home with you for the freezer?! Their pasties are the best in the area in my opinion

Consistently good ! We get them them all the time. Freshly cooked or we buy them frozen and cook at home. Lovely staff in there too, flaky steak ones are the best we think !

Popped in for a pasty, as you do. Enormous! Got a chicken one between 2 of us. Absolutely delicious but still some left over! They were selling an xlarge one which I’m sure would feed a family of 4!

I like the fact there is plenty of parking. Great Covid19 security with a covered outside walkway for queuing - consequently takeaway and card payment only. The range is good from sausage rolls to pasties to boxed salads to drinks. My kids love the cocktail pasties whilst my elderly parents and I enjoy the flakey steak. Proper job - thanks.

Gorgeous pasties and nice cakes, very clear covid precautions in place. Only reason I haven't given 5 stars is that customer service could be improved.

We always buy our pasties here, as they are the best. However, last Monday the two 'steak' pasties I brought home were inedible. Both were the same - massive, thickly crimped crust, plenty of swede and potato and only two small 'clumps' of gristly meat in each, pieces stuck together like small golfballs, and we couldn't get our knives or teeth into any of the meat. Chewy wouldn't come close. I may as well have paid for vegetable pasties instead. I couldn't take them back as we had dissected them to find something we could eat. I know it's mass produced factory food, but never before has this been such a disappointment. The quality of meat was poor. However, the gulls happily finished them off!!

I have purchased their traditional pasties on numerous occasions and taken them to family living in England. A fitty example of a true local delicacy. Easily among the best available outside the home kitchen. The large ones are a challenge but one you should embrace if there is any genuine Cornish in you.

We both have flaky steak pasties and are seriously good! Packed with lovely big chunks of steak and veg, even the rolled edge crusts were great and I almost never eat those! Very pleasant and helpful staff. Had no issues regarding eating in the whole time we’ve been visiting either.

Against the opinion of many on here, I think these pasties are the BEST in Cornwall and I've tried lots. Believe me. I love pasties!Customer service/care however is not so good! The shop has a lovely, albeit small, bar/eating area by the window which just looked to be the perfect place to sit and eat my delicious pasty. But just as I reached for a seat I was told I couldn't sit there because it had been cleaned!? (And I'm not a dirty person!)The next time I went there I was really hoping the dining area would be dirty enough that I'd be allowed to use it. To my dismay it was spotless again and I was again told I couldn't eat there. Great! My third time, I just planned to eat it in the car to avoid being told to leave. This time I took reusable water bottle in to ask for it to be refilled. Yes, that's right, I'm trying to help save the planet because the sea is full of plastic. But the Cornish Oven aren't! They haven't fitted a suitable tap to fill a reusable bottle. Surely this is a massive oversight in this day and age? Their advice was to buy one of their bottles of water. Great! You need to go and have a think about that.

Situated on a mainly industrial area the pasties are average not enough seasoning to my taste. There is off road parking but seems to cater for the businesses around rather than the public.

Bought two pasties, one normal one described as cocktail size. The cocktail one had two pieces of meat - one at each end quite mall!Biting into the normal one, the tast was bland, then next bite was a large piece of fat and grizzle. It ended up in the nearest bin.Total waste of money.

Ordered two meat pasties & one vegetable, sadly what I got was a meat pasty with no meat in it, did they forget to add the meat or was I given 2 veggie pasties by mistake. Unlikely as the veggie pasty was labelled “VEG” Pastry was lovely pasty was hot, but sadly no meat. Very disappointed

Oh dear, I had to watch the Sales Assistant remove the uneaten bacon rolls from the counter because it was 10.02am and the tills stop the items being sold at 10am on the dot. I felt like sinking to my knees and begging for one of the bacon rolls before they were disgarded but my dignity took hold of me and I thought better of it.

I was told the pasties on display were just for display and that there were plenty more in the oven. Yet after the first bite it became clear I was served one of these luke warm delicacies on display. Regarding the quality of beef it contained, the thing would have bounced if I dropped it. A close competitor to the heralded off-the-shelf hangover remedy that can be found regularly on offer in Sainsburys chilled food aisle. 2/5 Product, 2/5 service.

been giving here another go but still having a wee problem with the veg in the pasties as it almost always to hard. iv suggested they try slicing the veg instead of dicing as this would make the cooking more even but im only a chef who has no idea??????? will pop down for another pastie soon and see if there been any improvement(you have made really good pasties before you still can if you want to)

This was our final stop before heading home after a lovely holiday in Cornwall.I wish we'd tried it earlier on to be honest! The pasties were packed and with huge chunks of meat. The sausage roll tasted fantastic.Even better were the coffees. As good as the larger chains and a latte was a bargain £1.70.The staff were lovely and we picked up some Rodda gift milk churns as a bonus souvenir. We were not surprised to see white van after white van popping in here for their lunch.Superb!

Visited this drive in, buy a pastie place the last week in March, the lady serving was quick have to say, but took the pastie from an oven and into a bag without me seeing it.When I got home, I was dismayed and upset that the pastie was awful to look at burnt and hard, stale to taste, must have been a day old at least. Most importantly very little meat just 2 small pieces, please read the reviews, it’s as bad as this one, sorry to say.Might be a good idea to give this place a miss.

If there's one pasty shop you must shop from it's this one. This branch is on the outskirts of Penzance in the small suburb of Eastern Green on the busy A30. I was treated to a delicious 'small size' steak pasty which was quite large in size anyway so I'd love to see what a big pasty is like. Good selection of meat and vegetarian options available at a reasonable price too. Oh and the staff were brilliant also. Geddon !!

when this shop first open it was lovely best you could get in penzance and penzance badly needed a good pastie shop they were proper pasties like you use to get years ago but for some reason my last 3 visits have been really bad the veg is dice and under cooked more like el dente so you end up wasting most of it as you cant eat it most chefs that can make a good pastie would slice there veg as this make sure it cooks evenly especially Swede as it takes longer to cook they potato what a real shame I hope that's the owner of this business will read this and take on board what iv said as constructive criticism and act on it to redeem them self

Having my tyre replaced at Kwik Fit at 9am when I noticed that the Cornish Oven had opened across the street. Like their pasties and had seen the ad for their breakfast offer so was full of positive expectation. Sadly all fell apart when I was told it was not possible to cut the fat of the pre-cooked bacon for my roll and when I elected for sausage instead, 3 were unceremoniously dumped into a roll. No slicing in half to make it easier to eat. When I was finishing up at 9.30 another customer ordered a sausage bap only to be told there were none left. This was only 9.30. Breakfast offer finishes at 10. Maybe they should stick to pasties. Shame.

Very much overpriced and my fish and chips were undercooked and soggy very gross will not return don’t recommend to anyone I expected It to cost maybe £8-£9 but no £12.50 I think maybe more than that and the wait was ages went in to collect it and the staff were rude and unhelpful and I was given no cutlery and had to pay for sauces Then I opened the box up outside and it was all soggy and a strange colour very off putting almost looked raw Just ended up eating some of the chips

I have been to The Oxford many times and it never disappoints. The landlady is very nice and friendly and so are the regulars. Every time I've gone in here I've had a laugh. Everyone seems to talk to each other, even if they don't really know you, which I like. It is decorated nice and toilets are always clean. They have a fire inside which is very cosy in winter. Overall, lovely, warm and friendly pub.
