The best restaurants serving British food in Town Centre Christchurch South West

I organised my daughter’s baby shower here and was so pleased with the outcome. There were 28 of us and we were looked after so well by the team! The decor was just how I wanted it to be and the food including vegan and gluten free, varied and very good! MAW is the perfect place to hold a small function and I cannot recommend it enough. What a fabulous place for a private party! Wonderful atmosphere, the staff were so warm, friendly and extremely helpful, they couldn’t have been more accommodating. We had our own caterers on this occasion The whole evening was a great success! Thank you to all the staff

Had a lovely lunch today. The service was excellent and the food was very tasty. Nice to see some different items on the menu.

We have been to the Captains Club many times over recent years. This recent stay was great, staff very friendly and helpful. Spa was lovely with nice warm pool.

Had a fabulous meal at this lovely restaurant. It is such a friendly, busy and vibrant restaurant with a great atmosphere. The food was fresh and very tasty. Service was really quick and smooth allowing us to enjoy each course with no rush. Great choice of drinks and we definitely would recommend and will be returning very soon.

Worst place I have been to in years - lady behind the bar rude, unfriendly and unhelpful, arguing with us that the drink on the menu didnt exist. We were sat towards the back and the emergency door was letting in a strong draft and staff didnt even try to move us or make us more comfortable so we were freezing. Our dishes wernt collected for 45 minutes and even then they didnt take them all.

This is genuinely the best kebab I have ever had , cooked with passion nobody can top this place , thank you so healthy and tastes like you love what you do

Absolutely awful place. I tried booking a bottomless brunch but could not get hold of them at all, it was almost like they blocked my number. They hadn't organised anything, we had no menu, no pre orders and they wouldn't have even received the deposit if I hadn't gone down there myself. We ended up asking for the deposit back because we no longer had a booking due to their terrible organisation. Deposit refund was refused and they held no accountability despite being unable to provide any food. I would strongly advise avoiding this place at all costs.

Had a great lunch at the Boathouse Saturday, food was excellent and service excellent to . It has a great atmosphere and staff very helpful.

A lovely find in Christchurch, which is not short of places to eat. Extensive menu, huge jacket potato, clean and lovely friendly staff. I shall be returning here the next time I visit the area.

We are on holiday and fancied some chips we had scampi and chips and pie and chips and the chips were disgusting they were over cooked and tasted like they had been cooked an hour ago nearly twenty pounds wasted it all went straight in the bin 🤮

Absolutely lovely independent pub, friendly staff & amazing food. We’ve only ever had a drink here in the past, but we are so pleased we decided to have a meal. We had a variety of dishes, scotch egg, fish cakes, chicken burger, wings & seafood platter. All of which tasted fresh & delicious. We all felt it was the finest pub lunch we have eaten. We will definitely be visiting here again. Ps the manageress should be added to the paintings.

Service was terrible, had to ask twice to get outside table cleaned and then had to do it myself. Only half our order arrived and after asking twice the kitchen staff and waiting staff could be heard shouting about it. Very uncomfortable. No apologies offered. The one point was for the childrens fish and chips which was very nice even though the waitress huffed and puffed because my 5 year old grandson took 15 seconds to choose beans or peas then changed his mind which apparently warranted a roll of her eyes. We live local so know better value and service is available.
