Excellent cafe serving delicious food, with wonderful staff and the most gorgeous decor. Wouldn’t hesitate to go again. A must visit.

A superb quality breakfast; very warm and welcoming service. I would definitely recommend the breakfast/brunch at Maw, a perfect place to bring friends and family. I believe they even offer private hire for things like hen do's etc. The decorations are very pretty and welcoming, the food and drink is reasonably priced (especially before 10am), I would recommend booking a table in advance.

We visited this café for the first time today and thoroughly enjoyed it. We only had drinks there, but the plum and cinnamon chai latte was amazing. The café had a warm, cosy atmosphere and the staff were lovely.

I booked MAW to host a brunch so I could ask my friends to be my bridesmaids and the afternoon did not disappoint! 🌸🩷 I asked if I could drop some gifts off beforehand and the wonderful girls at MAW kindly set up these bridesmaid boxes for the girls ahead of our arrival! ✨ We had the loveliest food in the private upstairs area and the MAW team really made this such a special afternoon for us, thank you all! 🥂🥰

We had a delicious breakfast (pancakes) which was served by friendly, welcoming staff. Nice hot coffee too.

I organised my daughter’s baby shower here and was so pleased with the outcome. There were 28 of us and we were looked after so well by the team! The decor was just how I wanted it to be and the food including vegan and gluten free, varied and very good! MAW is the perfect place to hold a small function and I cannot recommend it enough. I organised a Baby Shower for my daughter at MAW and cannot fault the service I received. The decorations and food provided for 28 of us, simply perfect! We all enjoyed ourselves very much and the ladies catered so well for our needs. Thank you very very much! Highly recommend!

Always a pleasure going to MAW! The ladies are always extremely friendly, helpful, and make the best Flat White coffee in town. The snacks to accompany the coffees are also delicious, and made on the premises. Their meals look delicious and interesting as well! Really, why go anywhere else for your teas and coffees?

The cutest find on Christchurch High street! After aimlessly wandering checking out every menu on the high street, I stopped here and saw a sign for pancake Thursdays! The pancakes were perfect and the staff were very polite and welcoming!

Lovely staff, excellent food and nice coffee.. Unfortunately, our visit was spoilt today due to a dog inside the cafe that was intermittently barking, shaking its coat and wandering around the table it was attatched too. There are a few tables outside which I feel are better placed for dog owners to use.

Not my typical “go to” breakfast cafe but I went along with the wife because I knew it would tick all her boxes - after all, she definitely deserved a treat after picking up after the kids so much this week! A pretty little cafe with lovely staff. The food was locally sourced and cooked to perfection. I know it’s only breakfast but in my opinion, these things matter so if your in town and it’s early, I’d recommend breakfast here anytime.

Yet again a marvellous lunch at Maw with their happy staff and delicious food. Attention to detail is obvious on the plate as well as in the service. Highly recommended for lunch or brunch. Serves alcohol and allows dogs.

After attending a party at Maw, I asked them to cater for my Mums 80th at home. They provided afternoon cream tea and charcuterie and cheeseboards for the evening. So much choice the food was beautiful and fresh. they delivered to my home and did as proud really lovely people too highly recommend

Really welcoming and friendly service in beautifully decorated Maw cafe in the middle of Christchurch High Street. Very tasty smooth coffee and may be tempted back for the 2 for 1 Pancake Thursdays. Seating inside and out with hidden gem cosy seating upstairs. Recommended.

The most beautiful bottomless brunch! Me and my girls had the best afternoon at Maw, the service from all of the girls was fabulous and the Prosecco was flowingggg! You didn’t have to ask to be refilled, the girls had it on point. Food was amazing & will definitely be back from more bottomless brunch shenanigans! 💕

MAW is the most wonderful place in Christchurch. The staff are all super friendly and the food both looks great and tastes amazing. If you’re coming on holiday or a resident of Christchurch you have to come and experience it for yourself. If I could give it an extra star I would.

Had a private event night for my hen do in MAW last weekend, the girls working were so fun and friendly, they laughed along with us all night whilst we made cocktails and played games. Everyone had such a great night and we all said we would love to go back for brunches etc because it’s such a nice place to go in general. Highly recommend to anyone! X

I can't recommend MAW enough. I booked a mixology class in the private area upstairs for my sister's hen do and it was absolutely incredible. From enquiry to booking to on the day, it was seamless and every member of staff went above and beyond. The drinks included was more than plenty, the food was delicious and they so kindly catered to vegetarians. The staff were so fun, kind and patient as well as knowledgable about the cocktails being made. There were personal elements like drinking games and a Q&A competition about the bride which was such a lovely surprise. This was the highlight of the day for sure. I've told everyone about it as I genuinely couldn't have dreamt for more. Thank you so much to everyone at MAW, we will be back ASAP for brunch!

Maw exceeded my expectations for bottomless brunch. The endless flow of bubbles kept the celebration going, while the impeccable service added to the overall experience. The food was not only delicious but also a testament to the innovation and dedication of the team behind it. Maw is definitely onto something special, and I can't wait to return for more!

Food is ok but the breakfast is so small, I think if you order the double one is still like a kids set.

The best breakfast find in Christchurch. Been a consistent customer of maw for well over a year, never misses. The staff are always so joyful, helpful and can tell thy are family to each other. Great choice for newcomers.

Love this place! My breakfast was a great portion size, cooked to perfection. My mocha was to die for, the restaurant itself is beautiful inside and out. The staff were outstanding and so caring I felt such a warm presence 100/10 ☺️ Defo coming back ❤️

I hired MAW for a private baby shower last Sunday and it was a fantastic afternoon. The food was delicious and service from all the team was amazing. I had been communicating back and forth with Libby the weeks leading up to the event and she was so helpful and the whole process was completely stress free. All my guests raved about what a lovely venue it was and that they really enjoyed the afternoon. Thank you again to all the team at MAW for a perfect baby shower!

Beautiful little cafe for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Love the atmosphere to sit and chat with friends and the girls working there arr very friendly, polite and attentive. Gorgeous coffee! Poached eggs were cooked perfectly for the poached eggs on toast, only feedback is that I would have liked some butter on the toast. Pancakes were delicious, more like scones! Didn't see upstairs, but it looks as if it can be hired out for parties as a baby shower arrived whilst we were there. I can imagine it would be lovely for that kind of gathering!

Had such a lovely evening at Maw's 'Steak Night' last night. As always the food was great. The girls who run Maw are a joy and make the atmosphere so welcoming. Not just for us but also for our very well behaved dog who enjoyed the biscuit treats. And to top it all off it was excellent value for money. Thanks Maw and see you soon.

Recently attended MAW for bottomless brunch. The service was brilliant and I can highly recommend the avocado on toast with poached egg it was delicious. The staff were friendly and kept the Prosecco flowing. I am looking forward to returning.

A delightful cafe which is also licensed for alcohol. Nicely decorated, nice friendly staff and the perfect place on Christchurch High Street to stop for drinks, cakes or food. Private parties also catered for.

I hired Maw Cafe through their private hire facilities for my 50th afternoon brunch birthday celebrations. The girls were amazing with all communication leading up to the event, the food, atmosphere and the service was a 10/10. I wouldn’t hesitate in using their private hire facilities again in the future and everyone really enjoyed themselves. Keep up the good work girls and I look forward to coming back to the cafe for a breakfast or lunch!

We went to Christchurch as we'd not been for ages, we fancied a bite to eat and a drink and stumbled across this lovely place! Food was great, service was given by very friendly and happy smiling young ladies...and I'm sure we'll be back! It was a great pleasure! 😊

We had breakfast. all very good. Savoury pancake stack and smoked salmon & eggs were excellent. The only negative aspect was that the full breakfast dish doesn't include bacon. Coffee lovely & hot. Staff very attentive.

What a fantastic place for a brunch/lunch! Super friendly staff, helpful and accommodating with allergy. Food delicious, so fresh and tasty. Everything was well presented. Had the best time and would seriously recommend. No photos of food, but we thoroughly enjoyed creamy mushrooms on toast and generous pancakes. Excellent!

Great find for Sunday breakfast, it has a menu with a twist. Full Veggie was well presented, flavoursome and delicious; iconic eggs Benedict was delicious but a little too much chilli for my wife’s liking; the Big Daddy bap was scoffed down by my daughter. Well done chef ! 👏🏻 The service was attentive and friendly from the moment we walked in until we left. I know it was Father’s Day but there were lots of full tables outside and inside. Would absolutely recommend and revisit. Didn’t pay much attention to the other menu options as we were only interested in breakfast.

I have visited MAW a few times and have always had a pleasant experience. My most recent visit was for bottomless brunch with my mum, mother in law & bridesmaids (6 of us in total). The service, food & staff were all really lovely. The food came out quickly and was delicious. I had been in contact with them via email before our booking to arrange the table & preorder our food and always had a detailed and timely response. I would highly recommend 😊

I recently hosted my 30th birthday afternoon tea here and I can’t say how AMAZING the staff and venue were! The girls were so accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. Absolutely wonderful! We hired MAW out for the afternoon for my Sister-in-Law's baby shower. It was a beautiful space with a lovely afternoon tea buffet. The bar was open so everyone purchases lovely mocktails, coffee & teas.

MAW is a beautiful hidden gem in Christchurch. The food is absolutely delicious and they offer a bottomless brunch option to go with it! The decor is gorgeous and the staff are all so lovely, I would recommend anyone to go there for a lunch / coffee or special occasion.

Went for bottomless brunch. Waiting staff were extremely attentive - my glass never reached empty over the course of 90 minutes. Great food too. Would definitely recommend!

Had a lovely brunch with my friend today. We opted for their set menu for Valentine’s Day with a platter of pastries and fruit, Followed by smashed avo and poached eggs , hash browns and fabulous pancakes! Lovely service and atmosphere and excellent value for money. Will def be back!

First and last visit. Went for brunch. I asked for the Veggie Breakfast but with the egg and halloumi swapped for mushroom and hash browns, after asking the kitchen was advised not possible. Would have to pay extra for add-ons even though I was asking for items to be taken off also. Had the avocado on toast instead, must have had one of the slices at the end of the loaf as was so small and had barely any avocado on it. The hot chocolate was in a very small mug. Overall, it was not what I was expecting for the price, disappointing really. Chairs are very flimsy almost like the flimsy garden chairs you can get, made for an uncomfortable visit.

We were in town to set up a new shop in Christchurch and Maw became our favourite place for a rest, coffee and snack. The team in Maw are welcoming and friendly, the cafe is beautiful, the coffee is great and the food was excellent. It’s great to see a independent cafe that obviously takes great care to be welcoming and professional. The prices are very reasonable as well.

Friendly staff, really good food , would generally recommend but we did get our food before our coffees and it was really quite cold, they provide blankets and hot water bottles but I definitely think the experience would have been better if it was nice a cosy inside

Amazing quality and value - 2 plates of big fluffy pancakes for £7.95! Very attentive staff, good hygiene and more pink/girly decor than you can possibly imagine.

My daughter and I love coming here for their delicious coffee and amazing breakfasts. We have been on many occasions over the last year and the excellent standards are always the same. The staff make you feel so welcome, and nothing is too much trouble. We have tried lots of different places locally for breakfast, but keep coming back to Maw as you really can't top it. THE place to go for breakfast/brunch We popped in here on Monday and had the most beautiful breakfast. The smashed avocado was particularly amazing. Service was fantastic too!

We were staying in Christchurch after seeing a show at the local theatre, our hotel did not offer breakfast, so we sallied forth to find some! The first cafe we found was very busy, so we continued down the High St and saw this pretty cafe with two men drinking coffee outside. We were warmly welcomed into a spotless and cheerful interior and given a nice table. The hot drinks came quickly, followed by the most delicious and beautifully cooked breakfast. The menu choices were excellent and the other menu's (lunch, tea etc) looked good as well. As other customers came in, they were all greeted with the same warmth and when other staff began to arrive,they showed the same friendliness and smart appearance. When we left, happy and satisfied, we had as friendly a goodbye as was the welcome. A real gem in this lovely town

We had a small 50th surprise party for my mum upstairs! It was soooo lovely, food was great, staff were so lovely and the room was beautiful. It was great value for money, we will most definitely be back! Couldn’t recommend more! Thanks so much.

Decor:Pleasent. 'Flowery' and feminine. Service: Excellent and friendly. Food:2x Full Breakfast. Minimal wait, well cooked and presented. Good quality ingredients. Price: Fair. Disappointment: My wife requested change beans, (which she doesn't like) for extra mushroom. Told " We don't do swaps " (unlike Kelly's Kitchen) nearby. Told they would leave beans off the order. I requested an extra egg and was charged an additional £1.50 for it. No refund for the beans but charged (price of six eggs ) for my extra one. This left a bad taste to an otherwise decent experience. Back to Kelly's next time.
