The best restaurants serving British food in Vale of White Horse South East

The worst windows etancheity i've ever seen. You feel the cold at 2 meter from the windows. The highway is in your room, you can hear it all night. They didn't lock my door after cleaning. It takes 15-30min to have cook 1 egg each morning.

Such a beautiful pub so quirky. Amazing staff made us feel so very welcome. The food was outstanding! All freshly made and home cooked. Will 💯 be going back and highly recommended.

I advise to go 200yrds further to the Mcdonald, s next door!!! I ordered Baked potato with tuna and salad.Arrived after quite a long wait . Looked OK,salad of lettuce leaves ,tomatoes and cucumber, looked fresh.Baked potato was cold,sent it back,poorwaitress very apoligic, returned with hot potato but salad had changed to a bunch of lettuce that's it just lettuce!!!.Hubby ordered Fish and Chips he said OK but again Chips cold. Near to us table if 3 ladies who had to ask where there main was as they gad been waiting over 40 minutes. Behind us gentleman complained that most of the items that should if been missing sweet corn and chicken popcorn. So in all very poor service all round and......they weren't busy. Poor young lady was so really behind the poor service experience. I emailed the restaurant when got home,nothing gave them a good 10 days and sent another to which I received an email stating that I had received an email from head office as that's where complaints went,no apology from him. I did not receive anything from there head office so sent them an email....nothing.So Marstons as a company you are a very poor example of the restaurant trade. Poor food, poor service,and very poor customer service.

We haven't been to The Farmhouse Kitchen for ages so stopped by for a family lunch. The layout and service has changed such that you queue for a table, get seated then take the table number to the till and it's delivered to you. The queue was long and the restauarant was chaotic the only saving grace was that the lady managing the queue was very personable, chatty and helpful. When the food arrived on a trolley consisting of 3 adult meals plus 2 children's meals, the hot food was cold and the salad to accompany the fish cakes was stuck to a hot plate. The pie was nice as was the chicken burger but everything else was canteen food. We only had water but the bill was £62 which is Burford Garden Centre prices without the quality. Won't be going back I'm afraid.

Tuvimos una estancia agradable y cómoda en el Ferryman y una fabulosa cena en el restaurante con amigos. Recomendaría esto como una parada obligada para Thames Walker entre The Trout en Tadpole Bridge y Oxford. El personal/propietarios eran muy amables y atentos e hicieron estas secciones de nuestro paseo muy especial.

Very very cute little tea room, really enjoyed our visit for tea and scones. Such an authentic British experience. Tried to go back when we were in bibury the other day but found that it had closed permanently? Such a shame, I hope all that ran the place are doing well and it opens back up one day!

Alojarnos en el hotel, que está bastante alejado del centro de Oxford, y después de un largo viaje para que todos lleguen aquí y una preparación intensa para mañana, no teníamos ganas de volver a tomar un taxi para ir al centro de la ciudad. Las críticas en Tripadvisor no fueron geniales, seamos honestos, pero pensamos que lo probaríamos. Muy gratamente sorprendido La comida era buena y se entregó con bastante rapidez (al contrario de las críticas anteriores). Disfruté mi comida. No es el mejor que he comido, pero bien preparado y presentado, y muy sabroso.

Overpriced, soggy batter, not that clean, eddy to park outside, office licence next door. Sadly world not come back.

We were a big group with kids. Pre ordered our food but it still took forever to come out, and then was pretty awful all round. Staff were friendly but had no clue what was going on. Very disappointing
