Very very cute little tea room, really enjoyed our visit for tea and scones. Such an authentic British experience. Tried to go back when we were in bibury the other day but found that it had closed permanently? Such a shame, I hope all that ran the place are doing well and it opens back up one day!

If you want an experience where you can pay to be ignored, eat very average cake and tea,and above all, ruin your otherwise exceptional experience of Bibury, then pop along to The William Morris tearoom.....we ended up tipping our take away chocolate down the drain.....and dont get me started on the cake! Sadly not good..... Visited November 2020.

Tea stains and crumbs all over the table despite the fact we had to wait 5 minutes for the table to be cleared. Unbelievably overprived for a cup of tea and a mediocre cake. This place should be avoided, there is a hotel nearby that is better reviewed which does tea and cake for roughly half the price.

lovely tea room, cosy with character just what you expect for a little tearoom in a village, scones tasty, tea nice in vintage china, high chair for my little one and they let her play on rocking horse when she got restless. polite staff and would return again

Stopped for a cup of tea after a long walk. Beautiful from the outside but inside is very disappointing. Expensive (although you might expect it in such a tourist attraction). We had a scone that was stale and barely edible. Would recommend people try The Swan along the road.

This place does not understand its customers and is extremely family unfriendly. Please do not visit this place with kids as the behaviour of the owner is extremely rude and insulting towards people with kids. The food is also extremely over priced. This is one place to be avoided.

Gosh, the owners are rude, smug and hate children. They were so unwelcoming, service was poor (apart from one lovely Scottish lady who was serving) and they looked like they would rather families didn’t come in. The trout farm down the road is so much friendlier.

We were really disappointed with this tea room. They took us in though they knew we had three kids (aged 4, 3, and 1) with us. We sat down and our kids were excited and were a little loud. As parents we were trying to get them to keep quiet. However, just literally 2- 3 mins into our visit there, one of the owners told me "Can you get your kids to be quiet? We have other people in the place". I found it rude and explained to him that we are trying and it's not that easy to negotiate with young kids. Also, told him that if they are unable to tolerate it they should have a clear "No young children" policy. For that the reply I got from was beyond shocking "Other people have control over their kids and you guys don't have!" Seriously, who are these people to offer free parenting advice to customers? Our kids were just talking loud and NOT throwing a tantrum or causing any damage. We felt un-welcomed and decided to leave. We said "We are leaving. This is disappointing service and they need to work on that" and for that we got a "Off you go.. off you go... please leave now"!! Shocking and unbelievable bad. If you have young children don't waste your time going here. They have zero sense of customer service. I would highly recommend they have a no young children policy upfront to save parents the pain of listening to their parental advice. Most parents would respect that if restaurants have such policies.

We decided to stop here for lunch , wasn't much William Morris decor !!!. And in a tea room I would usually like fresh tea and a tea pot with a tea strainer etc , not teabags in boxes so that was abit disappointing for me . Nice selection of cakes on offer. Lunch was very average , would not be making a return visit. Staff were nice and friendly but lacked character for me .

We only stopped for a cup of tea. Had to move away from the fire because it was so smokey. Unusual room with lots of brick a brac around. Feels like their living room. £3 for a small pot of tea bag tea. So tea for two £6. I think they just rely on one time tourist visitors.

The atmosphere was lovely and it was warm. But for a bowl of soup and a slice of buttered bread 5.95 and a cup of tea 2.95 was over priced. A cake would have cost 3.50 a slice. If you don't mind these prices it was a nice place.

Excellent little tearoom, inviting owners, with a warm open fire great on a damp day, and comfortable tabling, with wonderful fare on offer. Also very interesting items on sale all around the room.

Had a lovely comfortable overnight stay at the Ferryman and a fabulous evening meal in the restaurant with friends. I would recommend this as a must stopover for Thames Walker between The Trout at Tadpole Bridge & Oxford. The staff/owners were so kind and attentive and made these sections of our walk very special.

Food took a long time to come, had to ask. When it arrived majority of plates were wrong. Had to return two plates and one had to be returned 3 times. Service was awful! Food was tasteless! Yorkshire Pudding looked more like a pancake! Will not be returning. Whole place looks rundown. Tables and bar sticky, carpet looks faded and worn.

Had a Sunday lunch for 2, my wife had previously been and rated this village pub part of the Greene King group. In a way the pub is traditional with a bar, restaurant layout but with a COVID canopy with booth style tables. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The draught beer on offer was a Greene King summer brew and a guest ale from Hardy & Hansons, Old Trip. Very reasonably priced at £4.80. We both had a roast, I had beef and my wife pork. My beef was plentiful but a little chewy but wife’s pork was good. The roast potatoes were very good and the vegetables were plentiful if a little soggy. There was a good sweet selection I had the apple pie with custard which was alright. I don’t know why there haven’t been any recent reviews but based on this visit I won’t be rushing back, sorry.
