Fantastic full English breakfast - just what I needed before the long drive home. The cafe has a relaxed welcoming atmosphere and a great view of the sea. Really nice customer service too. Definitely worth a visit.

I came in here today for brunch. It wasn't particularly busy. I ordered a jacket potato, coffee and a poached egg on the side. The coffee was quite good. The food was delivered quickly, but despite that, it was delicious; the potato was done to absolute perfection and they threw in an extra egg for free. The service and food were far better than I expected, and I will be coming back soon.

We visited today (19 Nov) for the £1 pensioners special and guess what - no soup until the 22 November! Soup hadn't been available for the three days previous. Thought Asda was a supermarket, obviously not if they don't sell soup!

I don’t know how this place continues to hold a licence for trading, something I will be looking into. I would not waste your hard earned cash on this place, because you get nothing at all except awful greasy food and extortionate prices. After politely complaining about the food and their attitude I was refused my request for half of my money back as , I had eaten the egg from the sandwich and tasted the greasy chips ‘ which were disgusting ! I thought requesting half my money back was reasonable, but I received a mouthful of laughter and abuse from all three staff. I also noted that the premises were far from clean, as a previous reviewers have stated, there was no hand sanitiser available, a filthy dirty fridge that customers have to help themselves from and rude staff. I’m not one for telling others not to take their custom there as it’s their own choice, but please be warned and don’t waste your money. I will be contacting the local council to see what they have to say about Sam’s Bar holding a licence.

I came here on mother day. The place was basically fine but a little grubby. Service was very slow despite the place not being that busy. My food was fine but overpriced. I bought a lime and soda which was v expensive and there was very little lime in it, I asked for a bit more and was charged a further £1.20 for the pleasure. The scenery from the garden was lovely but overall is was overpriced and underwhelming.

Great welcome Accommodating friendly staff as we saw a table for two and they changed our original reserved table, thanks Dylan. Very generous portion of sea bream nicely presented. Also very generous haddock and chips Highly recommend. Also on the plus side was a great view over the sea.

Normally love this place. But today the bar was freezing , first pint tasted funny. No room to sit as tables reserved in the bar whilst restaurant was almost empty. Too many staff making coffees. However , will be back.

My husband just collected the banger bundle. It was very disappointing. The chips were very dry and old. You could tell that they had been heated up. My husband phoned them up to complain. He was told ‘ well we are busy’. This isn’t the first time that this has happened. We won’t be going there again !!!
