Asda Cafe in Thanet

What a lovely independent feeling to this cafe ! Staff are very friendly and helpful..nothing is too much trouble. Made my kids and elderly parents feel at ease and many giggles were had.. Clean , delicious food , great value. A massive change from when we visited a while ago.cafe full of little touches and decorations and plants makes the cafe feel warm inviting.. Im told the manager has been there a year now and made changes and making many more to come. Keep hold of her and her team. A real asset to the Broadstairs Asda.

Ordered last night as just got back from a holiday and cupboards empty two minutes before the hour of my delivery get a phone call the van has broken down again!! And they have canceled my order the money will be in my account within 5days!!! This has happened twice now In 3 months ... Get your vans serviced!!

Had a fantastic all day breakfast With lovely thick brown bread The chips were great made really tasty chip butties Really nice sausages and freshly cooked runny egg All for a fiver

Went into the cafe part with my mum, the food looked like it had been standing there for days, you don't realise this until it is served up after you have paid for it, they have closed up the part where you used to be able to see the food before you bought it. Haven't eaten in here for a while and i won't be again.

Went here while shopping,enjoyed the breakfast option,the usual fried mix,but they let me choose the bits I wanted,instead of just having what the menu told you. With a drink my meal came to just over £6,quite reasonable,the food was edible,not great,but acceptable value.

As I was waiting at the till point for 3-4. Mins I noticed the staff messing around in the kitchen door way, the short armed midget women was deepthroating a sausage and dribbling all down her chin. I put back my panini and left. Not very happy !

Massive lumps of good quality beef with thick tasty gravy in a nice pie crust. Chips where freshly cooked, non greasy really nice. Only let down overcooked peas. Staff are really friendly as well.

I went to Asda cafe today the food was ok but the service from a lady called Lil was second to none which took the edge of the other miserable faced ladies behind the counter if all the staff was as good as Lil it would be the best place to eat

My master was in asdas buy food and popped in for a breakfast. He choose eggS, bacon, sausage, mushrooms and fried slice. it was about 8am so they had only just opened, but there was not a long wait. The food was nice, the staff friendly and polite and the service not bad. Reasonably priced.

Popped in for a coffee. Machine for coffee very slow. When we eventually got it the coffee was barely warm. After complaining informed mugs are very thick and make coffee cold. Boiling water was put in to heat and they gave us fresh coffee. Only slightly warmer couldnt be bothered to ask for more wont be returning. Maybe you should get thinner mugs if you know theres a problem

Came with tea and bottled apple juice Was freshly cooked and great portions Staff were really chipper as well

Tried breakfast here for a change. The food was decent quality, the coffee ok, all for a reasonable price in a clean environment. What anyone should expect anywhere, the friendly staff kept the eating area tidy efficiently too. It wasn't an outstanding meal, but certainly up to the standard i'd expect from a low price cafe.

Extraordinary breakfast, for so little money! It is definitely no frills but the food is so good who cares! Don't much like the tea and coffee set up but I go there for the egg, bacon, etc.

I thought i would pop in for a hot drink and something to eat after dropping my son off at asda to work. Firstly the counter was literally empty of staff. There where some customer's already eating but nobody serving now. Two men in front of me started helping themselves followed by a older couple who also helped themselves!! 10 minutes later and still no staff behind the counter i left the cafe. Sort your staff problem out asda.!

Not the best place to eat or drink ?? Chips Hard and undercooked ?only offered peas as a veg (large & hard) Pie small from shop ? Drinks ??you had to get from a Machine YUK...Rubbish Move on after your shop >>>

Decided to get lunch here after shop. Jacket potato and kids lunch and a coke came to around £7. Food was good and staff were lovely and hardworking. I find it very good value for money.

Fuimos para el desayuno a principios de esta semana. El café ha sido mejorado, modernizada y actualizada recientemente. La chica que servía era realmente amable y alegre. Gran desayuno caliente era genial y los cafés. El precio era muy razonable. Hace años, las comidas no eran lo suficientemente calientes, pero me complace decir que no nos podemos quejar de nada. Bien hecho Asda.

good food at affordable prices coffee was ok and staff very nice.very busy but enjoyed our snack and drinks convenient when shopping could do with being bigger had to wait for seats.

We were touring Kent and nipped in here for coffees and bacon rolls.The staff were warm and welcoming.The coffee was piping hot and the rolls were delicious and reasonably priced.The cafe was spotless and the toilets clean.

Dropped in for a breakfast whilst my van was in for an MOT, the price looked good value but cold food, runny eggs, strange tasting Luke warm beans has left me with an unpleasant taste in my mouth, the tea was ok but I made that myself!

La comida está bien. Básico y bueno. Prueba el personal para ir la milla extra. la comida es flan o el filete mobilier predecible y el riñón o shepherds pie o pescado y patatas fritas, pero todo bien.

He disfrutado de muchos desayunos aquí y el personal ha sido siempre una delicia comida es diferente pero la mayoría no está mal para un desayuno rápido

Cheap enough. A bit stodgie for me....prefer healthier meals. Don't think I'll go again....unless it's for a hot drink.

I started going to this cafe in December as I am fairly new to the area. I think it's brilliant if you want to have a quick cup of tea and a snack. Hubby and I took the kids once and they got meal deals for kids (6 items for £2.50 I think). There is a variety and it only costs us around £13 for us to have a decent warm meal. Staff are friendly. My only criticism is that at busy times they can forget that you've ordered a toastie. Though the appliances they use prevent food from burning. Will continue going!

We had an unfavorable experience here a few months ago, so thought we'd try it again but it was still pants.The food was unappealing, poorly presented and unenthusiastically served.The tables and cutlery were filthy,the coffee was cold and we couldn't finish the food. U would be better off buying stuff and eating in your car in the carpark

Came for lunch with the children, found the picnic selection for them very good and good prices, I only had a sandwich and a tea but was fresh sandwiches all round and good value, will be back, the hot meals looked good and they had some good deals

Very friendly staff can recommend bacon roll take away ,2rashers in roll £1.50 good value . Have had breakfast before and enjoyed.

Stopped by the café in the store while doing the shopping. It was lunch time.The food was dried out and not fit to eat. The staff seemed unconcerned by my complaint

As supermarket cafes go this is one of the better ones in the area. There is always plenty to choose from, the food is good value and tasty and the staff very friendly. They also don't seem to mind if you order kids meals for adults as they are quite generous and perfect if you only want a smaller portion.There is always somebody on hand tidying tables so it's unusual to find a dirty table. Recommended.

I have no problem with staff here, and certainly not all Asda café managers ask you what your think of your lunch! A hitch with my coffee as I was given a jar of instant de caf but no cup to take to the hot water. My main course was brought out promptly and was pulled pork with mash and salad, plus upsold garlic bread (see photo) Yes the seats are a bit hard, but the café is bright and clean, and people were being served quickly. and my coffee 90p and main course £4.50

It's cheap, it's handy, there are roasts, fish and chips, breakfasts, cakes and drinks. Staff friendly. Handy when you're shopping or meeting someone for a quick chat.

Never going again the guy that runs this is a lovely fella but I can't bare to have another Luke warm sloppy breakfast it's a shame because the ingredients are good but it's all not cooked well at all sorry guys

We visited the café after shopping and decided to have a fixed price option . The bacon was under cooked and when we asked if it could be cooked a little more we were told the ovens are now off so nothing could be done. We thought this was bad so all the other bacon and egg were precooked and placed under the hot plate . We feel we would miss this café and perhaps try Decks Diner in Tescos

Had a cheese and onion toastie. It was horrible.sure it was made with spread cheese.shame as the staff here are very good .

Often go there for breakfast which is great value but the chairs are wood and uncomfortable after a few minutes. Staff really nice.

The man in the photo was the person who served me, he was funny and full of life, he made the whole experience very entertaining, the food was also very tasty and I know it is only a supermarket but every time I will go to Asda I will most certainly use here, also you get free refills, or at least I hope you do I just went and served myself with the machines two more times.

We always used to pop in here for lunch after shopping if we went to Asda as I can not resist the unlimited refills on the coffee machine - like being back in the States where it is standard practice.But the organisation now is a disaster - there always seems to be a wait for chips - surely the most popular side but they only cook a few at a time - why not fry a load or even part cook ready to go?The food is actually not bad especially the all day breakfast but whoever is in charge (is there anyone???) really needs to get the place organised.

Passed Asda hungry and wet and decided to try the cafe, so glad we did! The staff are lovely and the fry up v tasty, the bill came to £14.00 for 3 and sausages for the dog. The hot drinks although self service were actually really nice and the only negative I could say about is that the food could have been slightly hotter. All in all well worth a visit.

Very friendly service. We had brunch here whilst doing a Sunday shop. Nice meal but really didn't need the 2 slices of whole meal bread served with the meal. No wonder we have an obesity epidemic. The meal was sufficient enough!

For an instore café I think this café is one of the best. You can buy a breakfast from £2.50- 5.00 and a good variety of Dinners at very good price, lovely staff.

The staff are amazing. Always have a smile and go out of the way to help. Shame the food is rarely hot but the seems to be the norm for heated counters.

What a great place,Called in for breakfast, the staff are lively and cheerful, can't do enough for you. The food was lovely, great value for money.

I loved the atmosphere as well as the price for the coffee. Really friendly and cheap! would go there again.

Recently had late breakfast here with my sister............was so surprised at how good the service and value for money was!! We both had a fry up, which was very tasty came with orange juice and tea/coffee and 2 toast each for £4.99???!!!! BARGAIN!!! And the lady who served us was lovely, unexpected in a supermarket cafe, I find Tesco's are very rude. Will definitely be having brunch at Asda again :-D

Friendly staff, reasonable food at prices that won't hurt too much. nothing fancy, basic but acceptable value. nice coffee and the breakfasts are very good.

Had tea & a latte coffee, both served as we like. Carrot cake & Walnut cake are to die for - moist & delicious. :-))
