The atmosphere was relaxed and the decor dark and sultry. The lounge area for drinks afterwards was perfect for us. The taster food was delicious. We all enjoyed every mouthful. The two different pudding were delicious. The wines were interesting. Personally I preferred sticking to a red throughout. The bit I would change was the fact we had to keep our cutlery for every course. For the price of the food and drinks ( Our bill was over £700 for two couples) and the ambience it was unpleasant to reuse them for totally different courses. ( there was a choice to change them but this would have been a request rather than the norm. ) Overall the experience was excellent and the service was amazing. We will be back.

Borgyn and Bakes is just round the corner from where I live and I walk past it most days. It is a wonderfully quirky little shop and is themed on magic, especially Harry Potter. It has a really good selection of cupcakes and pastries including some very nice sausage rolls, and bread pudding is a regular on the offerings too. Coffee is excellent and not over priced as some coffee houses seem to be. Prices are good and my only complaint is if you're on a diet, the temptation is huge! 😁. The shop offers a massive selection of Harry Potter memorabilia, wands, gowns, hats and little models. Harry Potter themed afternoon teas are a big attraction and very popular. For Harry Potter fans it's an absolute must!

I came here to get some lunch to takeaway, and ordered a 'Coronation Chicken Sandwich', and I have to say that it was ok. It was pretty bland to be honest, it didn't have much flavour to it. Compared to other Coronation Chicken sandwiches that I've had, it felt very basic. It was 2 slices of white bread with a very small amount of Chicken, and some soggy plain sauce. Obviously I'm unaware of what anything else was like and clearly it other people may have other opinions on what sandwich I had, but I personally won't be in any rush back.

I visited the Real Scoop and had the most delightful ice cream (Blueberry flavour, but my partner had Raspberry that was equally delicious!). Very good quality, really creamy and fruity, and really good value! Generous portion sizes!

On 24/08/24 we had an 80th Birthday Party at our house for 40 people. We used Roostys bakery for the buffet. The food was excellent we couldn't fault anything. There was a good selection with delicious fillings in sandwiches and wraps. Savouries were tasty and cakes went down a treat. 100% would use them again. Thank you Roostys Norma

Great breakfast, lovely host and loved the old fashioned decor. Was amazing ice cream parlour and has some original features. Amazing pot of strong tea, fab full English with good quality products and REAL HP/Heinz sauce in glass bottles!! Took two slices of homemade cakes home which were equally as tasty. Great find, will be definitely returning next month when back in the area. Dog friendly too

Would I eat there again oh absolutely I would

I went to two Beano cafes while I was in the area. I found the one in Broadstairs poor; but this one was terrific. Beano isn't a chain, as such, but more a set of individual businesses. So that must explain it. The big difference was that the chefs in the Ramsgate one really knew how to cook an English breakfast. There's an art to it and they nailed it. In particular, the food was piping hot, and the two over-easy eggs were served perfectly runny. Also the two hash browns were deliciously crisp, not soggy. Even the tea was bang on. Only let down was the catering-level sausage. They were quite busy, a good sign, with groups of locals and workmen in. The cafe's not on the seafront; but it's a good place to stop for breakfast if you're walking, like I did, down to the western seafront from the station. Prices are good value.

Lovely little cafe with really friendly welcoming staff. We went for the Manze’s pie and mash. Lovely pies, well cooked so crispy on top and soft underneath, chock full of meat. We’ll definitely be back.
