The family wanted to go for a burger at Please Sir. Now I’m not really a burger person, so I went with it to be polite! Archie came over with menus and explained everything to us. He was a very confident, polite guy and we all decided to try their award winning Limitless Burger. There was a variety of fries to choose too. Yes there was a little wait. But that was due to everything being freshly cooked. It was certainly worth it too. The best burger I have ever tasted. We all agreed it was cooked to perfection by Carol, it was delicious. We will definitely be back again, when we’re in Broadstairs. Thanks to Carol and Archie for making our visit one to remember.

Popped in for lunch on Thursday 5th December 2024 and we both ordered steak & onion suet pudding from the specials board, very tasty and served with roast potatoes, seasonal veg and a lovely little jug of meaty gravy. Friendly service and we are looking forward to visiting again in the New Year.

The atmosphere was relaxed and the decor dark and sultry. The lounge area for drinks afterwards was perfect for us. The taster food was delicious. We all enjoyed every mouthful. The two different pudding were delicious. The wines were interesting. Personally I preferred sticking to a red throughout. The bit I would change was the fact we had to keep our cutlery for every course. For the price of the food and drinks ( Our bill was over £700 for two couples) and the ambience it was unpleasant to reuse them for totally different courses. ( there was a choice to change them but this would have been a request rather than the norm. ) Overall the experience was excellent and the service was amazing. We will be back.

Borgyn and Bakes is just round the corner from where I live and I walk past it most days. It is a wonderfully quirky little shop and is themed on magic, especially Harry Potter. It has a really good selection of cupcakes and pastries including some very nice sausage rolls, and bread pudding is a regular on the offerings too. Coffee is excellent and not over priced as some coffee houses seem to be. Prices are good and my only complaint is if you're on a diet, the temptation is huge! 😁. The shop offers a massive selection of Harry Potter memorabilia, wands, gowns, hats and little models. Harry Potter themed afternoon teas are a big attraction and very popular. For Harry Potter fans it's an absolute must!

I came here to get some lunch to takeaway, and ordered a 'Coronation Chicken Sandwich', and I have to say that it was ok. It was pretty bland to be honest, it didn't have much flavour to it. Compared to other Coronation Chicken sandwiches that I've had, it felt very basic. It was 2 slices of white bread with a very small amount of Chicken, and some soggy plain sauce. Obviously I'm unaware of what anything else was like and clearly it other people may have other opinions on what sandwich I had, but I personally won't be in any rush back.

I visited the Real Scoop and had the most delightful ice cream (Blueberry flavour, but my partner had Raspberry that was equally delicious!). Very good quality, really creamy and fruity, and really good value! Generous portion sizes!

On 24/08/24 we had an 80th Birthday Party at our house for 40 people. We used Roostys bakery for the buffet. The food was excellent we couldn't fault anything. There was a good selection with delicious fillings in sandwiches and wraps. Savouries were tasty and cakes went down a treat. 100% would use them again. Thank you Roostys Norma

A Perfect Valentine's Dinner at Quince, Westgate We had the pleasure of enjoying a Valentine's meal at Quince in Westgate, and it was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. One thing that really impressed us was the attention to detail—not just in the food, but in the service as well. We had booked our table back in November and requested a specific spot by the window. I didn’t think they would remember, but they did, which made our evening even more special. The dining experience was beautifully curated, with a pre pre-starter, pre-starter, starter, and main—an indulgent journey of flavours that left us absolutely satisfied. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, showcasing the chef’s creativity and attention to detail. To start, we ordered house bread and butter, and cod roe which was absolutely delicious. My starter was the pressed monkfish & smoked prawn terrine, served with house pickles & toast—a perfect balance of textures and flavours. My main, the mushroom pithivier with goats curd and smoked almond pesto, was rich, comforting, and packed with incredible depth. Every bite was a delight, and while we were completely full by the end, we still found ourselves wishing we could fit in dessert! The team at Quince truly delivered a memorable and refined dining experience, and we can’t wait to return. If you’re looking for exceptional food in Westgate, Quince is a must-visit!

I visisted with 2 friends and we had a table at the front overlooking the bay. As it was a sunny day it was very pleasant sitting here looking out. A bit of a draft when the door opened but to be expected. We had appetizers and a main and we all really enjoyed our food. We had a bottle of lower priced wine between us but it was totally palletable. We could not eat a dessert as we were all full. Would deffo recommend and would like to come back one evening to taste the small plate menu. Staff were lovely too!

Started going there about 8 months ago when I am in the area. This is the 3rd time going, and each time, the food is of the highest quality, and the staff are friendly. My brother had the cod & chips, and he said it was one of the best he has ever had. As I don't eat fish, I had the chicken, and while that is usually the same in most places, nothing special, here it is one of the best I have tasted. It's worth a stop-off for food on the way to Birchington/Margate.
