The atmosphere was relaxed and the decor dark and sultry. The lounge area for drinks afterwards was perfect for us. The taster food was delicious. We all enjoyed every mouthful. The two different pudding were delicious. The wines were interesting. Personally I preferred sticking to a red throughout. The bit I would change was the fact we had to keep our cutlery for every course. For the price of the food and drinks ( Our bill was over £700 for two couples) and the ambience it was unpleasant to reuse them for totally different courses. ( there was a choice to change them but this would have been a request rather than the norm. ) Overall the experience was excellent and the service was amazing. We will be back.

Borgyn and Bakes is just round the corner from where I live and I walk past it most days. It is a wonderfully quirky little shop and is themed on magic, especially Harry Potter. It has a really good selection of cupcakes and pastries including some very nice sausage rolls, and bread pudding is a regular on the offerings too. Coffee is excellent and not over priced as some coffee houses seem to be. Prices are good and my only complaint is if you're on a diet, the temptation is huge! 😁. The shop offers a massive selection of Harry Potter memorabilia, wands, gowns, hats and little models. Harry Potter themed afternoon teas are a big attraction and very popular. For Harry Potter fans it's an absolute must!

Avoid! I honestly can't understand how this place has the good reviews it does I'd seriously question who wrote them or if we just got unlucky. We were greated by the most miserable waitress not the best start, ordered 2 teas and 2 toasties 31 pounds? That's fine if the food is good and of a decent quality but it's not.Oily and trying to be something it's not is the best way to put it. Definitely far better places to go.

I came here to get some lunch to takeaway, and ordered a 'Coronation Chicken Sandwich', and I have to say that it was ok. It was pretty bland to be honest, it didn't have much flavour to it. Compared to other Coronation Chicken sandwiches that I've had, it felt very basic. It was 2 slices of white bread with a very small amount of Chicken, and some soggy plain sauce. Obviously I'm unaware of what anything else was like and clearly it other people may have other opinions on what sandwich I had, but I personally won't be in any rush back.

I visited the Real Scoop and had the most delightful ice cream (Blueberry flavour, but my partner had Raspberry that was equally delicious!). Very good quality, really creamy and fruity, and really good value! Generous portion sizes!

On 24/08/24 we had an 80th Birthday Party at our house for 40 people. We used Roostys bakery for the buffet. The food was excellent we couldn't fault anything. There was a good selection with delicious fillings in sandwiches and wraps. Savouries were tasty and cakes went down a treat. 100% would use them again. Thank you Roostys Norma

Rafa & Ben and team. Thank you so much again for such a superb dinner last night. The skate and prawn terrine was simply amazing and the venison wasn't bad either!! Looking forward to further great food from you over the summer. Best wishes. Simon, Marion & Toby

Not been for a long time, but today decided to pop over for a breakfast. I ordered the 8 item breakfast and you can choose any items you like to make it with. I choose... 2x Bacon with were good soze pieces and very lean. 2x Sausages which were thick and meaty with just a hint of Cumberland taste. 2x Eggs 1x Hash Brown cooked until crisp outside but still tasty and fluffy on the inside. 1x Fried Bread, thick sliced and crunchy outside but not at all greasy. By far the best I have found in a long time. Service was fast and polite. The lady in charge found time for all the customers from a greeting at the door to advice on the menu and then some pleasantries to make you feel a valued customer. Free chilled water saved you adding a bottle to your bill. This is excellent value, especially for Birchington High Street.

Great breakfast, lovely host and loved the old fashioned decor. Was amazing ice cream parlour and has some original features. Amazing pot of strong tea, fab full English with good quality products and REAL HP/Heinz sauce in glass bottles!! Took two slices of homemade cakes home which were equally as tasty. Great find, will be definitely returning next month when back in the area. Dog friendly too

We had a fabulous dining experience here during our stay in Broadstairs. The staff were welcoming and explained the concept and menu well. We shared 6 small plates between us, each one absolutely bursting with flavour. The dishes are served as they are prepared, not all together, giving you the opportunity to enjoy the flavours of each dish separately. The quality of each dish was obvious and I was blown away with the flavours I experienced. If we ever return to Broadstairs I would insist on coming back to Twenty Seven Harbour Street and would certainly be a regular if they were based in London.

Lovely bakery/cafe. Nothing is too much trouble for the lovely lady serving. Delightful service. Excellent freshly ground coffee. My husband’s favourite place for freshly filled rolls.
