Little Brown Fairy Cake in Thanet

Me and my daughter went for the 'Harry Potter afternoon tea'. We opted to have this in the 'potion room'. When we arrived we were greeted with a warm welcome and shown where we'd be sitting. The menu was explained and we were offered robes for the experience. The potion room was amazing and had all sorts of different trinkets to look at. The afternoon tea was incredible! My daughter can usually be slightly fussy, but she enjoyed everything offered. We actually had leftovers and were able to box this up and take it away. The owner is soon to be renovating the store and we can't wait to come back and visit. If it's decorated to the standards it is now, it'll be a wonder to behold. Thank you again for a wonderful experience.

We love this place so much!! I wanted to buy everything in there. The coffee was delicious and the cakes looked amazing and we will be coming back for them 😊

We visited at lunchtime today, and i honestly felt the whole experience was delightful for me and my son. It’s completely unique and a great addition to Westgate. My son loves Harry Potter and enjoyed looking at all the little details in the potion room, where we had our lunch. So much thought and hard work had been put into the decorations and the food. Food was absolutely delicious and the drinks, well worth the price too! Nicola and Jake made sure we were well looked after , and Jake was so patient with my son who wanted to see some of the different types of wands they had in the shop. We left well and truly stuffed and look forward to coming back again soon! 100% recommend

What a wonderful experience my daughter and I had at Little Brown Fairy Cake shop/cafe. We had the Harry Potter themed afternoon tea and all I can say is "wow". The shop looks fabulous and is a fantastic setting, the food was exciting and delicious, the mocktail with a smoke bubble on top was thrilling and really set the mood (it also tasted lovely) and the man serving us (Jacob) was so welcoming and friendly. We both left feeling absolutely stuffed! I quote my 7 year old daughter "mummy if I could rate this 1 to 1000, I would give it 1000". I completely agree.

Amazing shop and friendly team running the shop. Definitely worth a visit. Just brilliant! Will be back for sure. My daughter couldn't stop having about it.

Had a Harry Potter afternoon tea. Started out with an extremely warm welcome, we sat in the main area of the bakery. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and So much to look at for a Harry Potter fan( which I am ) Tasty butter bear drink followed by some very tasty goodies. Well recommended We will be going back for Christmas Thank you for a lovely couple of hours

We had a magical and quirky experience here today! The food was amazing and you get so much for your money! We couldn't eat it all and ended up taking some goodies home with us 😁 The Drinks were brilliant and so fun and yummy. 🍺🍹 This is a totally unique experience I've not seen anywhere else and great for kids and adults and such good value for your money! It's decorated top to bottom with cool, weird and wonderful objects that totally transport you into a magical world and we 100% recommend to anyone! The staff were lovely and we had a great chat with the lovely creative owner 💖 overall we was very happy with our experience and will definitely be telling our family and friends to visit! Absolutely fantastic place for an afternoon tea. Tremendous love and effort has been put in to make this a dream come true for Hogwarts fans. Lovely staff, would definitely recommend to anyone wether they where a fan of pottery or not.

We stumbled upon this gem today, having noticed all the Harry Potter items in the window. Inside was a muggles dream though very small. People were having a Harry Potter themed afternoon tea inside (£19.99 per person) so we ordered 2 Black Forest cupcakes, a cup of tea and a cappuccino and sat outside. THE biggest cup of tea and cappuccino we’d ever seen arrived. The spoons were death-eaters! I didn’t get her name but asked the waitress about the HP afternoon tea as we have a Potterhead in the family. She then also mentioned they are doing a Beetlejuice theme for Halloween and Grinch after. Two of our favourite films! The cupcakes were delicious. Moist sponge, a dollop of cream and cherries on top. The waitress came back with dates the beetlejuice and grinch teas would be on if we were interested. Yes we were! Whoever you were you went above and beyond. We’ll see you in October.

From the moment we stepped into this enchanting place, we knew we had struck gold! We were immediately transported into a magical world that has been so thoughtfully and beautifully crafted. The effort, hard work and care that has been put in to create the most incredible atmosphere just hits you! We received the warmest welcome from the sweetest guy who provided a first class experience. The Harry Potter themed afternoon tea was amazing - the details and taste deserve the highest praise and at just an affordable price too. Each item had clearly been carefully designed and beautifully made providing brilliant value. To then sit and eat surrounded by an "Aladdin's Cave" of memorabilia and merchandise pushes this themed afternoon tea to the highest level! We can't thank this family run and local business enough - you went above and beyond...and some!

This is the third time we have been here for the Harry Potter afternoon tea. My daughter is Harry Potter mad! You are made to feel extremely welcome from the moment you walk in. We were given a wide choice of drinks to choose from including a Butter Beer Float. The afternoon tea itself is very well thought out and the attention to detail is amazing, including chocolate brownie frogs, lightening biscuits and mini couldrons with chocolate mousse inside. All beautifully homemade on the premises. We loved all the Harry Potter paraphernalia and my daughter loved wearing the sorting hat.

Had the best time here with my daughter celebrating her birthday in the potion room! She’s a massive Potterhead and well, if you are a Potterhead too then this is the place to go! Staff super friendly and can’t do Enough for you and the cakes on offer are to die for! Thank you for a great afternoon !

We are so lucky to live near to this wonderful bakery. Such a great location, filled with delicious food and amazing creativity. If you find yourself in Westgate pop in for a drink and a muffin, or a cookie (to die for!), or a brownie/blondie (stunning!) and marvel at the the incredible sculpture cakes 🙂👍

We have been visiting Little Brown Fairy cake since they opened. The cakes are always super yummy. Highly recommend the jammy dodger blondie amongst others. I love going there with my daugher for the shop, decor and beautiful window displays, it is so magical. The lady who owns it is so friendly and helpful. We will continue to visit and eat cake!! Harry potter afternoon tea is definitely on our to do list.

Absolutely amazing Harry potter afternoon tea for my neices 11th birthday surprise. The service and food were absolutely fanatstic, Jacob was so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Would highly recommend and will definitely be going back to the Little Brown Fairy Cake for the excellent coffee and delicious cakes.

My daughter and I came for the Harry Potter afternoon tea today as a treat while she’s home from university. It exceeded my expectations! The food was fabulous (especially the mandrake muffins - we’re still talking about them!), the decor was incredible - such amazing attention to detail, great merch reasonably priced, what a great experience it was. Excellent value for money - we had to take our leftovers home as we couldn’t manage everything. We were in the main room but would love to come again and try the potion room for a different experience next time. Can’t recommend it highly enough ☺️

My son and I visited last week and it was amazing to discover this little gem .we had afternoon tea in the potions room . If you love harry potter you must visit! The attention to detail is absolutely amazing so much work and effort has been put into this . There were cloaks we could wear , floating candles from the ceiling and quite a relaxing bubbling potion sound playing . As two harry potter fans ourselves we loved every second . I was catered for with a vegan afternoon tea and the food was wonderful the savoury muffins were 10/10 we had so much that we had to take some home as we just couldn't manage it all . We don't live locally but hopefully we will visit again in the year . Staff were very friendly and welcoming . Thank you.

There is absolutely nowhere like this little gem that offers the same kind of experience or quality of goods. The Harry Potter themed afternoon tea is simply unbeatable and the value cannot be questioned. I read an earlier review regarding the price but honestly feel that you get what you pay for. There is absolutely no scrimping on quality and everything is cooked fresh and on site by an award winning baker. Show me anywhere that you can get this quality and attention to detail for less than Little Brown Fairy Cake is charging!! I probably should give this review just one star to put off potential customers and keep this gem all to myself, but to do so would be to deprive others of the magic that comes with a visit to this place. If you want quality products, amazing theming and absolutely sublime attention to detail then you should absolutely be planning a visit to Little Brown Fairy Cake

I have taken my 3 children to this lovely unique shop multiple times since moving to Westgate - it is our little after school treat. The food is always beautifully decorated and delicious and the people who work there are kind and helpful. The atmosphere and decorations are so imaginative with such high amounts of detail. We look forward to the change in your window display and try to guess what theme you will do next. Many thanks

We visited for their Harry Potter afternoon tea. What a lovely little place. My Harry Potter fan was delighted. The food was excellent, the attention to detail brilliant and the staff lovely. Great value too and we took some home despite trying our best to enjoy all the treats on offer. It's a cosy, quirky little place but that is part of its charm. If you want a large chain type experience this may not be for you but if you enjoy a cosy, fun and individual experience I highly recommend it. Real food, real experience and teal people, loved it. 😍

Totally wonderful shop filled to the rafters with every possible delight! Nicola and the team are so passionate about what they do and do it so well, from the delicious mountain of goodies and the excellent, friendly customer service- it really is a magical place to be! The whole Harry Potter Afternoon Tea Experience is quirky and full of so many cute details that make it amazing value for money. You even get to take any leftovers home if you want.
