We had a fabulous dining experience here during our stay in Broadstairs. The staff were welcoming and explained the concept and menu well. We shared 6 small plates between us, each one absolutely bursting with flavour. The dishes are served as they are prepared, not all together, giving you the opportunity to enjoy the flavours of each dish separately. The quality of each dish was obvious and I was blown away with the flavours I experienced. If we ever return to Broadstairs I would insist on coming back to Twenty Seven Harbour Street and would certainly be a regular if they were based in London.

What an incredible roast, the vegetables were the main star despite how good the beef & pork belly actually were.

Incredible dining experience! From the service which was attentive with genuine warmth and interest, to the food which was out of this world, we absolutely loved our evening here. Every flavour on every plate could be tasted and it was a faultless evening.

Third time here, we’ve been coming down about once. A year for the past three years (we’re DFLS) To hold consistency for that time is not easy I’m sure but they have. . Love the small plate concept. Love the ambiance, venue and view. The only thing that, for us, would make it 100% perfect is a greater representation of English wines on the list. The sparkling aperitif was great. Would have liked to have seen the theme expanded more on the main list. Would not stop us coming back in the least though and would not stop us recommending this favourite to friends and in fact, hasn’t.

We came for a joint birthday dinner and were blown away with the level of both service and the food. Some of the guests we dined with have previously eaten in Michelin starred restaurants and they stated the food was on par if not above that of where they’ve eaten before. They accommodated our request of putting some birthday candles in the Eel croquettes dish without hesitation and our server was warm, friendly and very knowledgable. The food was exceptional with the standout dishes including the smoked eel croquettew, prawn with mint and chilli, the stonebass crudo and the lamb. The wine was delicious and the Scottish G&T was sensational. Overall an amazing dinner and very special for the two birthdays had.

A great choice if you're looking for beautifully cooked, delicious plant-based options (alongside local seafood and meat dishes for pescatarians and meat eaters). Very close to Viking Bay with a limited sea view. Staff are friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere is relaxed. Nice decor. The restaurant is dog-friendly and allows well behaved mutts on a short lead. Customer toilets are clean and modern. A special mention to our fantastic server/sommelier George who made us feel very welcome and who has a good understanding of the wine list. Would deffo visit again. Happy to recommend.

Simply the best restaurant in Broadstairs and, by my reckoning, one of the very best in the country. With beautiful surroundings and a warm welcome, the restaurant is found tucked on the shaded road running up from the beach. The wine is of the highest quality, and the food is sublime, not a word I use lightly. Every dish is perfection, from the fresh oysters to the small plates of inspired, seasonal dishes, it's a sensation. I bet highly recommend this restaurant having visited with my friend on four occasions now. A real treat.

First time eating here and had the most amazing meal out in a resturant for a long time. We hadn't booked a table just asked on the off chance if they could fit us in and was seated on a window table the staff were so polite and lovely although they were very busy we didn't have to wait very long for service drinks arrived quickly and food was fantastic I had the pork belly with burt apple ketchup and my husband had the roast sirloin with horseradish emulsion i wish I had of taken photos now as when it came out it looked absolutely stunning and tasted amazing. We had a fantastic meal at Twenty Seven Harbour Street in Broadstairs. Highlights were the tuna tartare, tempura red peppers, and pomme Anna — all absolutely delicious. The squid ink, cabbage, oyster, and sea bass were beautifully presented and well-executed. For dessert, the sticky carrot cake with blue cheese icing was a unique treat — my boyfriend loved it! The service was excellent throughout — warm, attentive, and knowledgeable. We left really happy. Definitely recommend — please go!

We were there for Sunday lunch so the menu was slightly switched up. Their most popular small plates as starters, then selection of roast. Everything we ate was delicious. Tempura peppers filled with goats cured, stone bass crudo, and roast cod for main with the most insanely delicious sides I have ever eaten (I need the recipe for their potato3es). Add to that the most lovely staff and you have a winner.

A fantastic evening at Twenty Seven Harbour Street! The food was delicious, the wine selection was excellent, and the service was top-notch. Jan was an outstanding host—warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the wines. We all had a thoroughly enjoyable time and will definitely be returning. Highly recommended!

How this place doesn’t have all 5 stars is beyond me. Best meal I’ve had in years and we’re out galavanting all the time. Small plates?! I’ve had them twenty million ways. But this team did it different. Originality, oozing cheese, smoked eel… yes please!!!! every member of staff was charming, helpful and looked after us. Kisses till next time xox

Lovely food and atmosphere- really enjoyed our meal and wine. Great attentive service. Only negative from my point of view is smelly wet dogs do not go well with eating.

Liz and George The Viking bay view through the restaurant’s window is to die for. Liz was very kind to help us with the menu and George offered to move our times for a better experience. Hands down the best roast I had recently. The vegetables normally are shadowed by the main roast… not here , absolutely delicious. Please go and try the cheese cauliflower as well. Thank you so much guys! Will be coming back soon.

I visisted with 2 friends and we had a table at the front overlooking the bay. As it was a sunny day it was very pleasant sitting here looking out. A bit of a draft when the door opened but to be expected. We had appetizers and a main and we all really enjoyed our food. We had a bottle of lower priced wine between us but it was totally palletable. We could not eat a dessert as we were all full. Would deffo recommend and would like to come back one evening to taste the small plate menu. Staff were lovely too!

We had a superb celebratory birthday breakfast - delicious breakfast cocktails and an amazing build your own cooked breakfast which our daughter loved! An absolute treat with amazing sea views whilst the windy weather blew passerbys down the street. We were very jealous of the customers booked in for Sunday lunch after us as the yorkshire puddings looked incredible!!

One of the best and creative restaurants we’ve been to, the prawn ceviche dish is to die for!! Tip to order the bread to soak up all the amazing sauce. Extra points for being dog friendly 🫶🏼

The food was great, especially the black garlic with the steak but the staff? Whoever that bald gentleman who served us was deserves a raise. He was fantastic. My favorite dish had to be the pepper tempura with goats cheese ugh!!! And my partners favorite was the stone bass dish.

Lovely atomosphere, staff and food. Smoked Pancotta is one of the best desserts I’ve had.

It was our first visit and it was delightful. The host was very friendly and had a nice chat with my husband about football. As it was our first visit, he explained how the small plate system worked. The young lady serving us was very friendly and efficient. We had some lovely food. Even though they are small plates, we had enough to eat. The chocolate and ginger tart was a singing combination!!! Will definitely go again.

Absolutely outstanding food and wines. We never fail to have an amazing evening here. We love the counter seating for great chats with the owner, highly recommend the chat! All the food was amazing but stand outs this time was the Pomme Anna, stuffed pepper and pork chop.

Wonderful breakfast and great service

Great food in a lovely setting. Last night there was confusion over availability of some items and for us a shortage of non shellfish options, but the evening was a real bonus after a lovely day. Chatted with the owner and that was an added extra as he told us how dishes are picked. Highly recommended

Delicious Sunday lunch, didn’t think a Sunday lunch could be improved but it can. Melt in your mouth pork with tasty side dishes, especially the carrots with salsa verde.

Really classy place. We were welcomed in with our dog, our server found a spot where she'd be able to relax away from other dogs. The decor was smart, music was set to the right volume and food and coffees were excellent. Well worth a visit for any fellow day trippers 👍

Really exceptional Sunday lunch with “fine dining” food served in a convivial setting by knowledgable and friendly staff. Some novel dishes for to adventurous and outstanding traditional roasts - beef coked perfectly rate for instance. Wine list is mainly Spanish since during the week this is a tapas restaurant. Some interesting picks to be had there…

Good quality and well presented. Discovered no main meals, rather so called "small plates" intended to share. Ok, but we had 6 small plates costing £136 and tbh I still left hungary. Previous been on a Sunday when it was roasts.... much better, really good then.

Accommodating for the whole family. Attentive but not over the top service.

Their small plates concept allowed us to share and try a bit of everything, which made the experience even better. The seafood was incredibly fresh and locally sourced, and you can tell each dish was thoughtfully prepared. The staff were super friendly and made great recommendations that really enhanced our meal.

Sometimes in life you get what you pay for. Whether a treat, a special occasion or for the wealthy just another night out it matters not. The effort and expertise put into both the food and drinks in this restaurant is faultless, The casual way in which the small plates come out almost tempting you to share with your partner was so relaxing and informal. The proprietors knowledge in his fare as well as his drink and wine selection is admirable. Lovely food and really nice couple of hours out of our lives. Hopefully it won’t be long before we go back!

We absolutely loved 27. The service was faultless, we were greeted properly and seated in a lovely table with a view of the sea. We were a group of old friends who wanted a special meal and boy did we get it. The food was incredible, so different and surprising. We were delighted.

Lovely inventive food. But dropped a star due to the ridiculous size vs price of the sourdough donuts! £10 for 3 tiny donuts! Come on guys!

Another lovely meal at Twenty Seven, definitely a go to destination every time we visit Broadstairs as it is a foodie heaven! Lovely to be able to sample lots of different small plates of interesting dishes. Particularly love the Slip Sole dish (we always have to have two!). The Pomme Anna was amazing too! Only dish we didn’t enjoy was the tempura soft shelled crab but I think that was down to personal taste not anything wrong with the dish. Had a lovely bottle of Kent White wine too, Derringstone from the Simpson Estate. Service was friendly and efficient, all in all a great evening, would definitely recommend a visit.

We’ve been meaning to try this restaurant for sometime now and we weren’t disappointed. George looked after us from start to finish. He helped my wife with the wine tasing process. For me the Kent Pino Noir was as amazing. Great tasting food with a great setting with great staff we will definitely return perhaps for Sunday lunch.

We went here for a special dinner and wow was it special. Every dish was amazing. The decor was beautiful and the service was on point. Great recommendations along the way! Favourite was the seabass, croquettes and the mini doughnuts! Special shout-out to the beauty of the tomato salad :) And the wine was delicious - Volatil Thank you!

First time visiting this restaurant and we were really impressed with the food and friendly service. Visited for Sunday lunch, i had the sirloin and my wife had the fish. Will definitely be back as soon as we can.

My partner and I took a weekend trip from London to visit Broadstairs and decided to book dinner here for the first night. We ordered 6 plates to share and were increasingly amazed as each one was delivered! The tomato salad was so nice and refreshing, the steak was cooked perfectly, and the tuna tartar was enough to convince me to move to Broadstairs permanently just to have this every night. 😂 We had our Golden Retriever with us and the restaurant was dog friendly and very accommodating and kind! Very great location right next to the beach. Highly recommend!!! 😍

Amazing team running the place and the food was fantastic. The prawn ceviche, soft shell crab, sirloin, and the rest of the dishes were amazing.

I don't even know why they don't have a Micheline star yet. This restaurant exceeds my expectations every time! The quality of the ingredients, the plate presentation and the flavour combinations are incredible. The staff is extremely friendly and everything is priced sensibly. The decor is simple and elegant. Wish them great success!

We enjoyed most of the small plates we tasted. wine was good as was the coffee and dessert wine. It is a well established restaurant and have used it 5/6 times over the last 5 years or so, would have been more but we are not local to the area. Hopefully we can visit again next year.

We have been to 27 many times for Sunday lunch and it’s always been delicious. I would love to see some new things on the menu though and maybe smaller plates to mix things up a bit. It’s really delicious and very well run being able to bring the old dog is fantastic too. I would like more information about the wine and whether it is sweet, dry etc

We stopped for a quick lunch and we were in a rush. All of the food arrived quickly. Everything was very tasty, especially the cod loin and the oysters.

Everything was brilliant!! Waiters were so nice and helpful, food was brilliant, tried most of the things on the menu but will definitely come back to try the rest. Perfect date night spot but i recommend to book it. I went with my boyfriend and it was very romantic. Orange wine was a nice touch. Was candlelit.

Second visit after dinner during our visit to Broadstairs a year ago. Standards have remained high and I was glad to see some good dishes still on the menu. It was harder to select what we didn't want from the menu than what we did. What particular stood out were some of the vegetarian dishes e.g., the tomato salad, which will remain in the memory.

This was a ridiculous meal - the best we’ve had all year! What an amazing location - right on the Broadstairs beachfront, with a really fun pub with live music just next door. Jan and his team were incredibly accommodating, especially considering our group had 2 gfs and a vegan. When I’d emailed in advance, Jan sent a picture of the entire menu with each dish marked out as gf or vegan friendly which made such a difference. The food was nothing short of perfect - the seafood in particular was so perfectly fresh. Everything we ate was unique, delicious and paired so well with the lovely white wine. Even the bathroom moisturiser was review-worthy! We will be recommending Jan’s incredible restaurant to anyone who will listen, and I cannot wait to come back. Better than any restaurant like it in London.

Food was delicious and a few of the dishes, real surprises. The descriptions on the menu do not convey the magic (tempura peppers or tuna tartare). Definitely visit again and definitely recommend.

Lovely tapas. An exceptional place. Some dishes were extremely salty such as the fish but other wise we are extremely happy that we tried this place. Lemon parfait dessert was out of this world! Can't wait to come back again.
