The best restaurants serving British food in Westerham and Crockham Hill Sevenoaks South East

Our absolute go to for a special occasion. We've been 5 times now and have yet to be disappointed. We still reference the Old Bank as our measure of a good meal/value when we're having a tasting menu elsewhere - especially the whipped chicken skin butter (haven't found anywhere that serves butter as delicious as this!). Love that the menu changes with the seasons. Can't wait to go back after Christmas.

We visited the Golf Club for Sunday dinner at beginning of May and was pleasantly surprised just how good it was! The staff were really helpful and the atmosphere was nice and relaxed - just what we wanted, Food was amazing and will definitely be bringing more family back here

We popped in for a late lunch and the staff were so helpful and accommodating to my particular requests. We had an enjoyable time, lots of laughs and banter with the staff. The food and atmosphere were excellent and we’d definitely return

My belly of pork was really lovely but my brother chose the burger which was rather small and he was still hungry afterwards. He ordered the apple pie for afters but after a 35 min wait for it gave up.

Great pre dinner drinks. Celebrating daughter’s birthday. Ladies all had cocktails. Lovely staff and bar.

We had a fabulous Christmas lunch last Friday 6th December. Nineteen of The Military History group gathered together for the lunch. It was excellent, with a varied menu for the festive season, some had traditional fare, some beef and fish. Everyone enjoyed the occasion. The staff were extremely efficient, friendly and very helpful. The atmosphere was very Christmassy. We would thoroughly recommend the venue , which was also good value for money. The service was pleasant, however the food was cold and tasteless. Sent back the lasagne as it was cold and they obviously microwaved it and sent the one I had returned back which is not good practice in a professional kitchen (I knew it was the original as I had cut the middle). Kids pizzas were undercooked and doughy.

A very good cafe offering the usual very good standard National Trust menu (sandwiches, baked potatoes, other snack meals and cakes (one reservation is, on the cake side, there could more choice for Gluten Free diets)), served by friendly, helpful staff. There's plenty of seating, both inside and outside, and, a new innovation, there is now a room where dogs are welcome. A good place to drop into when you are walking round Chartwell.
