Westerham Golf Club Restaurant in Sevenoaks

We visited the Golf Club for Sunday dinner at beginning of May and was pleasantly surprised just how good it was! The staff were really helpful and the atmosphere was nice and relaxed - just what we wanted, Food was amazing and will definitely be bringing more family back here

Ha d Sunday lunch today. After a good salmon fishcake starter the main course carvery was poor. The meats tasteless, the Yorkshire pudding awful, the potatoes tasteless and the greens cold. What was worse was the start attitiude. None of the dining room staff were welcoming and one young lady with glasses taking payment s was a disgrace telling an elderly lady she was ruse when she certainly was not.I raised that only to be told several times now rude I was. This young lady should not be let loose on the customers. Sadly the second had experience here. There will not be a third.

We had a wonderful wedding at Westerham. Both ourselves and our guests were impressed by the ambience and décor of the venue, and the two managers on the day were excellent and attentive in their roles. Our events manager Cheryl was very accommodating throughout the time leading up to our wedding, especially taking into account the postponement we had due to Covid restrictions earlier in the year and after liaising with Cheryl we were able to move the date to October of this year. We had an excellent day and we will have a memory to cherish forever. Thank you! Lauren and David

Well the dust has settled from our day all we now have to look back on are our wedding photos and the wonderful memories created at Westerham Golf Club their team helped make those memories very special indeed!. Our wedding day was the 8th October 2021, we had 90 guests who thoroughly enjoyed themselves, they were looked after brilliantly by the staff headed up by Cory and Eloise. Service was spot on and the food was amazing. We can not recommend this venue highly enough should you be looking for somewhere to host your special day. Cheryl the events sales and admin manager made things simple from the outset and ensured from a high-level planning point of view all was covered then following that an appointment with the catering manager Cory. The layout of the ceremony and reception room really make use of the amazing views across the golf course we had some amazing shots captured. Thanks again to all of the Westerham Team we will forever look back on our day with fond memories and wish we could do it all again! Marc & Kim.

In 2020 we booked to have our wedding reception at Westerham Golf Club and from our first visit to the venue to our wedding day, we had an amazing experience. Cheryl, our events organiser, was always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, advising us on the best actions to take and the most suitable suppliers. We were over the moon on the day of our wedding as the venue ensured that everything ran smoothly from start to finish. We highly recommend this venue!

I recently attended Westerham Golf Club for a family wedding. What a fabulous location, both inside the clubhouse and the vista outside across the golf course. The food was excellently prepared, served and tasted fantastic, compliments to the Chef and his/her team. Service at the tables was excellent, well done to all the front of house staff including those behind the bar. I certainly have no hesitation in recommending Westerham Golf Club as a location for a wedding and post ceremony celebrations. Well done team.

We booked our wedding back in 2018. After a long wait and a postpone, our day finally came! Throughout this time the Westerham team have been absolutely fantastic, we felt that we were completely looked after and no question went unanswered. Especially when Covid hit, they did their up most to keep us informed as much as possible. Our day went so smoothly. We truly felt like we were in safe hands, every detail of what was going to happen next was explained throughout the day and so we were completely relaxed and reassured. Also would like to take a moment to say how wonderful the food was. We had so many compliments ! So thank you. I can not recommend Westerham golf Club enough for all their help and support, all the staff made our day what it was, especially Cheryl and Phil (our Coordinators), we can not thank them enough.

We don’t know where to start other than saying a huge thank you to Cheryl and Bobby for all of their help making our day as special as it was. They were world class in build up, especially as it was our 3rd time making it happen due to COVID. They were always on hand to guide us through and were just a real pleasure to work with. The venue is stunning with amazing views and a loverly barn feel inside. We had so many great comments on how great this place is! We also wanted to say a huge thank you to Phil and the team for the day. You made everything transition seamlessly and we were stunned at the attention to detail and great service. Thank you so much! This place will forever hold a special place in our hearts. And we could not recommend this venue and team enough!

Cheryl and her team went above and beyond to make my godmothers send off a day to remember. I cannot recommend Westerham golf.club enough, having attended a wedding here previously, this is the place to hold a memorable event, no matter how big or small.

My husband and I got married at Westerham in June 2021, a postponed date from June 2020. Cheryl, Bobbie, Phil and the rest of the team have truly been amazing with the ever changing guidance we all had to follow. Phil and the team managed the day extremely well, the organisation and service was amazing. These guys were truly amazing and made our special day that extra special. I booked an appointment for a wedding showround with Cheryl and was blown away by the venue. We wanted a barn feel and viewed their new Barn Set Up, which works perfectly in their Valence Suite with the high ceilings and wood work. Cheryl was very friendly, knowledgeable and was happy to discuss all options available to suit our needs. The back drop scenery of their 18 hole golf course with 3 lakes is totally breathtaking and we cannot wait to have our big day at Westerham Golf Club.

My husband Mark and I got married at westerham golf club 13.03.2020 and we had the best day. Cheryl and Ish were very helpful and made our wedding at the venue amazing. All of our guests loved the venue too! The service was brilliant and everything was so organised. Lovely lake also for photos. All the staff were so helpful. A beautiful venue!

It's a beautiful venue, a most attractive room overlooking the golf course. The room is used all year for weddings but in between times, at weekends is a restaurant. If you are looking for somewhere for a special event and don' t want it at home, or don't have enough friends to fill a hall this would be perfect. I understand that you need to book for the Sunday Lunchand then they lay out the right number of tables for whoever is coming. I was there for a friends 70th birthday and there were 7 of us on a large round table. There were probably another 4 groups of 10 people and a few couples dining at smaller tables. It is a carvery but we had a choice of starter and a sweet trolley with a selection to choose from. The three course meal was excellent value for money. The carvery gets ten out of ten from me, all perfectly cooked food, delicious. The only downside was the lack of knowledge of the staff who were basically clueless. It needs some kind of manager to keep things up to scratch and to train these young people. We were told at one point that our table would be up next to join the queue for food but then another table just stood up and got in before us and nobody checked them! When the desert trolley arrived, we were stunned to be met with blank faces when we asked If there was any pouring cream to accompany the food. Asked a second waitress who scuttled off to the kitchen to ask and came back to say no there wasn't. That seemed strange but all in all a lovely afternoon in a beautiful woodland setting. If you are thinking of having your wedding here and reading this, I would go for it!

I'm guessing all Clubs within the Altonwood Group do the same. The same layout of room, with stunning views, but somewhat large for only three tables laid for Sunday Lunch. Same young, untrained waitresses standing around chatting. Again, asked for Elderflower Presse to be told they'd just run out of Elderflower - odd coincidence as the same has also been said to be recently at the Surrey National! The guests waiting to go into the function room caused a lot of noise, so couldn't hold a conversation. The Roast Beef was excellent, with a good selection of veggies, although the cheese sauce over the cauliflower needed to be thicker. It would have been good to have been told the pots had been roasted with garlic, which spoilt it for me. Desserts run of the mill. The young man who I'm guessing is the manager was very professional and attentive.

Family wedding, everything from start to finish was great. The food was excellent and was delivered on warm plates. The service was timely and attentive and the location is fantastic. Loos were clean and the outside compulsory contractors for fireworks did a superb job as did all the other contractors. Most importantly, you could tell that all the staff cared, great job guys!

We got married at Westerham Golf Club in February 2019 and we truly had an amazing day. We visited the venue in November 2017 and met Bobby for our tour of the venue. From meeting Bobby we were so impressed with her and continued to be, right through to our wedding day. Bobby was able to explain in detail options available to us and how our day would be run. We were so impressed with Bobby’s professionalism and she was always super quick in getting back to us via email or telephone whenever we had any questions. Bobby was also able to recommend certain companies such as Bows Hire for decorating the room; who we were also really happy with. We decided to book a Sunday lunch with both families prior to the wedding day to trial the food. Although the food was good, the service was not. 1. All waiting staff seemed very young and did not really seem to know what they were doing. My dad ordered a bottle of wine which was brought over by one of the waiting staff and just placed on the table in a wine bucket. The wine was not offered to try and was not even opened by the staff member. 2. We all had roast dinner which on the whole was good. However my dad did find a small piece of wire in the meat. We were offered feedback forms to complete before leaving, which some of us did. My dad completed the form and attached the piece of wire to the form and handed this over to one of the young waiting staff. The young boy took this over to the bar staff and we watched them laugh as they read through the form. No apology was offered and the matter was not even addressed before we left. 3. We had noticed the female waiting staff were all wearing very short skirts, something which I was keen not to be repeated on our wedding day. When leaning over the tables to serve others their meals, it almost became clear what they had eaten for breakfast! I did comment on this in my own feedback and was assured this would be addressed prior to our wedding day. It was not. Following our Sunday lunch I did feedback the above to Bobby and she was so apologetic. Bobby offered us a free bottle of prosecco for the top table on our wedding day or as we had chosen to upgrade our wine for the top table and 2 other tables, the upgrade could be offered free of charge as a way of apology. We gratefully accepted the free upgrade in wine. Obviously the issues above were not huge but we felt needed to be pointed out. I was told that the room would be set up the day before our wedding and we could then visit and make any changes we wanted to. The florist would also have access to start her work if needed. I visited the day before the wedding with my Mother and Mother in Law and I must say, there was a bit of work needed to be done. 1. The tables had not been set up as I had requested – perhaps I am far too fussy – but each piece of cutlery and each glass needed to be polished before I was happy with the tables. 2. Wine glasses and coffee cups had been put at table settings where there was a high chair. 3. High chairs were missing – despite a detailed seating plan being provided beforehand with instructions on where high chairs were needed. 4. Deflated balloons were caught up in the ceiling drapes (provided by Bows Hire) – perhaps from an event the day before?? – Which I had to be asked to be removed for the wedding the next day. 5. Don’t expect wine glasses to match – again perhaps I am too fussy but I would expect the wine glasses to match at least on each table. 6. The wicker room dividers have seen better days. My husband pointed this out months prior to the wedding and said if these were the only ones on offer, we would prefer not to have them. We were told they would be replaced for new ones. They were not and by then it was too late. 7. A couple of the table cloths has a few small holes in them, however nothing a strategically placed vase could not cover! 8. Each table setting had to be corrected with the favours set out correctly, as originally requested. Perhaps this information was not filtered through? I did speak to Bobby when we were correcting the above and she could not be more apologetic. I believe I was told that the young waiting staff had set out the room and were not always as clear on detail as originally planned. Again, all not huge problems but things we had to spend a lot of time correcting the day before the wedding. If you do not have time to visit the day before, you may wish to send someone you trust to check things over. The Wedding Day: Despite the above, we had a truly magical day. Bobby was there to greet us when each of us arrived and Ish (the Food and Beverages Manager) ran our day like a dream. Nothing was too much to ask from him and he was completely calm and professional throughout. We had recently found out I was pregnant, something I was not wanting to share with my wedding party yet, but Ish was on hand to swap all of my glasses of prosecco with sparkling elderflower – no questions asked and a few months later, nobody said they had noticed! We chose to have our wedding ceremony in the new Eleanor Suite. It was set out beautifully and just as requested. The snow stopped me entering the Eleanor Suite from outdoors but this was not a problem and Ish quickly arranged the entrance from the other door. The drinks reception was just as planned with our chosen drinks on offer and the staff were able to quickly turn around the chairs from the Eleanor Suite into the wedding breakfast room. Now remember those deflated balloons caught up in the ceiling drapes? Well they were still there. I had to ask a staff member to remove them. Apparently they could then not find a step ladder tall enough and so had to ask one of my wedding guests (he is 6ft 7) to climb on a chair to get them down. Not something I had hoped for! The wedding breakfast was lovely - no wire in the food this time! – But I had asked for the children’s meals to be brought out with the adult’s starters. This was not done. One of my guests asked if her daughter’s meal was coming out soon as she was only 5 and getting hungry. The young waiter told her the children had to wait until the adults had their main meals. This obviously upset my guest who then turned to the Mother of the Bride who had to correct the situation. Once my Mother had asked for the children’s meals to be brought out now as planned, this was swiftly done. I had also requested that the fire behind the top table not be put on while we were eating the wedding breakfast. Perhaps this was forgotten. It made it difficult to eat a hot roast meal with a roaring fire behind us. My dad couldn’t really enjoy his meal because of the heat and my brother had to walk around the room, opening as many windows as possible in attempt to cool down the top table. May appear to be a minor overlook to the staff but did affect some of our meals. The rest of the evening went according to plan. We had an amazing DJ and the bar staff were lovely and very helpful. We had a token system where each guest had 2 tokens each to redeem 2 free drinks. Wedding party were also allowed free drinks all night. The bar staff notified my Mother regularly on how high the tab had reached. The only other, perhaps not issues but items to note, were pizza boxes stacked in the foyer during the evening. I believe the waiting staff ordered pizzas during the evening but guests commented on the empty boxes stacked in the foyer, which is where wedding guests were frequently coming and going to access the front doors, car park and toilets. Could these not be kept in the office where I believe they were all sitting during the evening? Minor attention to detail perhaps. The Next Day: We were told we needed to clear the venue by 11am the next day so staff could set up for Sunday lunch service. I believe we were out in time. However my mother had to contact Bobby a couple of days later as our wedding cake decorations had not been given back to us and out wine glass charms we had bought and put on certain wine glasses had not been returned. My Mother did not get a response and so I had to contact Bobby myself. I was told the email had not been received – ok no problem. Our cake decorations had been found in the kitchen which we were pleased about however, we were told our wine glass charms could not be found. It appears the waiting staff had thrown them away.Overall we had an amazing wedding day and we wish we could do it all again. Westerham Golf Club is a beautiful venue with plenty of photo opportunities on the golf course for the Bride and Groom. We were allowed to go off in a buggy with the photographer to do our couple shots and the pictures are beautiful. Bobby and Ish are a dream to work with and their knowledge of weddings is second to none. I think the young waiting staff let the venue down a bit and need more training – miniscule skirts or not, service is poor with little or no attention to detail. The reception room is lovely with beautiful views across the golf course and there are so many options for decorating the venue to make it your own. I have no doubt that Bobby and Ish can help you create a wonderful day but be prepared to correct minor details which have been left to the waiting staff to manage. I was told the waiting staff would receive further training and the above issues would be addressed with them, whether this has happened or not I do not know. We are still happy we chose Westerham Golf Club for our wedding and hope with a little closer attention to detail, other couples will have a wonderful day here, just as we did. Mr and Mrs Harris.

The ambience here is smashing, the view out to the golf course as good as you'll see, and the food is well, ok. But don't forget to call in at the bank before you go 'cos a visit here will set you back a pretty penny. Worth it, though, if you can afford it.

Lovely Christmas carvary with friends. Food was really nice and enough to choose from. Stunning views over the golf course. We had a lovely time. Would recommend this for a special occasion.

My husband and I chose Westerham as our wedding venue back in January and we got married on October 27th. The process was unbelievably easy and I was constantly liasing with Bobbie about all the tiny details. Honestly nothing was too much for this venue. Any questions I had I just picked up the phone and they’d be answered with no issues at all. Bobbie was so thorough and so efficient that I was so confident with how they day would be. I’d also like to add what a nice person she is which really helps when you’re getting married and the event planner is as excited as you are - because let’s face it a bride to be is constantly on cloud 9 in a world of her own! She defo got that :-) Now the day... could not be faulted. Despite being cliché every single person has said it’s the best wedding they’ve ever been to and that is thanks to the staff, the food and the extra mile that Ish and his team went to - I’ve seen a post which says the portion sizes were small this was definitely not the case at our wedding. We chose to offer lamb shank or salmon and both were huge which our guests loved. A small example of nothing was too much trouble: we had quite a young wedding 125 day guests and 40 evening. We’d said to Ish in our meeting no tea or coffee after the meal only for two tables which again wasn’t a problem at all - anything we wanted just got done. A little later on in the evening the oldies were all sitting in the seperare room with the comfy chairs and Ish and his team brought them all tea and coffee once again which they just absolute loved and appreciated. He looked after everyone. Another example is that I changed into a reception dress after cutting the cake and the staff gave me their office to do it. All of our needs were accommodated. Ish’s team of bubbly,friendly and young waiters and waitresses also added to the fun of our day and had a little dance on the dance floor with us when everything had been done. This is a stunning wedding venue with a wonderful team. Thank you to all at Westerham for hosting the best day of our lives.

Recently attended a lovely wedding here ... was obvious staff had paid attention to detail and day went smoothly. Food fab great wine and lots of staff to refill empty bottles. Grounds stunning ... can’t wait to see pictures. Hopefully manage to persuade my daughter to consider using this venue for her wedding as can’t think of a better place locally to choose.

I recently attended a wedding at Westerham Golf Club, what a fantastic day! The venue was superb, beautiful function room & the waiting staff were attentive throughout the duration of the whole day. I would be delighted to return to Westerham.

We have attended friends wedding in September. The venue was lovely and offered incredible views from the terrace. Served food was very good however portions little on the small side. Roast dinner with one potato was actually very disappointing. I had best ever cheesecake though.

We hired this venue for our Year 13 Leavers Ball, and it was definitely not a mistake!

We had our wedding here on 7th February and it was a fantastic day,all the staff was amazing and was happy to help with anything we needed. The day from start to finish was amazing and the staff was even happy to help till the end with smiles on there faces. The food was out standing and even our guests was over the moon with the food and service they received.

My brother and sister in law got married here yesterday and the day was amazing from start to finish. The friendly staff are amazing and couldn’t do enough for you and any requests made they sorted straight away. The food was amazing! The views are beautiful! Definite worth a five star rating.

This was the best day of our lives. We met Louise at an open day for the venue and straight away you could tell that she would do absolutely anything for you and clearly loves her job. She made the whole wedding process stress free and over a year of planning nothing was too much for her from dealing with suppliers to allowing us access at all times to meet photographers etc at the venue. They adapted a whole food menu for us with our own selected starters, main and desserts and even did festive canapés for all our guests.

Five of us came here for lunch on Sunday. We had a reservation for 1:30 PM. We arrived at 1:15 and our coats with quickly taken. We were asked to wait by the fire in the main dining room until we were called. At 1:40 we still hadn't been called so my brother went to inquire. I think they forgot about us. They did lead us to our table which was beautifully decorated with crackers and decorations for Christmas.

This is one of best place for wedding ceremony in Sevenoaks area !! We went to join our friend's wedding party . Simple beautiful the place.... Recommend for most of party's venue!!!!

The venue was fantastic, we were very lucky on the day with the weather which only enhanced our day. Louise was very helpful throughout the build up to the big day and nothing was too much hassle, very accommodating to our personal touches which is great for preferences/ flexibility.

Everything about this place is perfect. We cant thank the staff enough for making our day so special. All the staff were really friendly and organised. Many thanks to Louise for organising our day and Jamie and martin for running our day. All would not be possible without their help and experience. They are a real credit to Westerham. The venue looked perfect on the day and we were fortunate enough to have the sun come out to make the views spectacular. The food was absolutely beautiful, all the guests really enjoyed their meal. Everyone had only good words to say about the venue and staff. huge thankyou again for making our wedding so perfect.

No me puedo quejar del lugar en nada y como se ve desde mis otros comentarios, yo soy exigente. Teniendo en cuenta la cantidad de personas en la cena de la boda la comida era excepcional, incluyendo la de mi nieta, que era casera pollo goujons. . Excepcional de nuevo. y delicioso. . . Comí una! Todo el personal era muy profesional y vale la pena un sobresaliente. Si ese ha sido mi boda, yo habría estado orgulloso de haber tenido allí y no pudo agradeció lo suficiente.

¿Por dónde empezar? Desde el maravilloso personal, unas vistas preciosas y comida para morirse, era el lugar perfecto para nuestra boda! El personal no podía hacer lo suficiente para nosotros, revisar en nosotros regularmente durante el día y cambiar algunas de nuestras bebidas de bienvenida 2 días antes de la boda! (Lo siento! ! Incluso fotógrafos comentó) que tienen un montón de comida comido boda a lo largo de los años, pero este era el mejor de ellos! Todos los huéspedes comentábamos lo hermoso del lugar, y que las vistas son increíbles! Cada pequeño detalle fue pasado con nosotros antes del día, incluso las cosas que mi esposo y yo no habia pensado. Esto significaba que podíamos disfrutar de nuestro día, sin tener que preocuparte de nada! Gracias por darnos westerham el día de la boda más perfecto que podríamos haber soñado!

No podemos agradecer lo suficiente el club de golf westerham por hacer que nuestro día tan especial! Louise nos llevó a través del viaje de planificación con tal facilidad y sin estrés. La comida en el día era precioso, el personal era amable y servicial, nada era demasiado problema y todo fue hecho con una sonrisa. What an amazing place, great staff, great food and a beautiful location, we had such an amazing day it was so perfect and the staff could not be more helpful if they tried!! if I have another big occasion and need somewhere I will definitely be speaking to the lovely Louise who is so helpful and they all really go out of their way to make it so much more special!! Nothing went wrong and it was just so special and then the evening for new years eve so brilliant as well!! It was all well worth the money!!

We were there with our family for Sunday lunch, celebrating my husband's birthday. Lovely setting, friendly and very helpful staff, good food with a choice of 2 or 3 courses, excellent main course carvery, interesting, delicious starters and puddings, all at a reasonable price - we'll be back!

This is the 4th year in a row we have been here for Mother's Day we like it so much! My 80 year old mum had been looking forward to it since January! The food was excellent as usual but the service was just not up to scratch and it felt like there were too many people eating and not enough staff. The staff were charming and helpful when you did get one!I did email and after a reminder i did get a response that there is a new manager and all my concerns are being addressed and incorporated into training plans etc etc which i hope is true. This is a really lovely venue with great food and i hope it gets it staffing levels back up to the mark.

I cannot praise Westerham Golf Club highly enough for a brilliant 60th birthday party. Nothing was too much trouble for the events team and all my guests had a great time. The food was excellent, the serving team were polite and professional and the room looked amazing. I cannot praise too highly.

Playing today so we arrived early enough to get some food down us... Bearing mind there was 3 society's booked in, the bar staff efficiently took our orders, food was promptly served, it was warm and tasty. Never had issues with their food and service.... Spike bar is a good place to eat and talk all things golf... Price wise it was fair..... Thankyou

This is the first Trip Advisor review I have ever written, but I feel sufficiently motivated to write about the wonderful Sunday Lunch we had at Westerham Golf Club last Sunday to celebrate my mum's 90th birthday.My wife and I live in the West Country but wanted to organise a birthday lunch for my mum who lives in Knockholt. Accordingly I googled TA for reviews of restaurants/pubs in the Sevenoaks area. Westerham Golf Club featured very strongly and for good reason.From my first contact with Bobbi and later with Louise, the club could not have been more helpful, agreeing to provide a special one off main course for my mum who eats very little and who usually only eats fish and (3) chips when she eats out. In the final event my mum decided that she would try the carvery so the fish and 3 chips were not required. Both Bobbi & Louise were also very helpful in trying to configure an acceptable seating arrangement for the 17 of us, eventually putting two large round tables together so that no one who was not sitting on my mum's table felt they had been down graded!!On the day everything was wonderful. All the young staff were friendly helpful and courteous. The ambience of the dining room was warm and inviting and the food was delicious. Every meat dish served up for the carvery was tender, tasty and succulent with a generous variety of vegetables to accompany the meat. All members of our party thought the food was excellent and my mum ate more than I'd seen her eat in years.My mum had a wonderful lunch and we all agreed that we could not have picked a finer venue for her 90th birthday celebration.Thank you Western Golf Club and all your lovely staff for making it a party to remember. We'll be back.

We visited Westerham Golf Club for Sunday lunch & enjoyed a delicious 3 course meal for just £17.95pp. It was very busy so recommend you book .. & no wonder! Well cooked, tasty food, generous portions, friendly staff & a fabulous option if you want a day off from cooking! Will definitely visit again!

We visited as a Sunday lunch group from Westerham U3A. There were 10 of us sitting down for the meal. We were well looked after from the beginning and service was very attentive and well delivered. The food was really excellent and everyone in the group was very satisfied with the meal. Very reasonably priced with good quality food.

Visited Westerham GC restaurant for the first time on Sunday and we were pleasantly surprised. We could only get 12.30 or 2.30 so we opted for the latter. The starter was very nice and then we had the Carvery, the meat portions were generous and there was a good selection of vegetables. The only criticism was that the vegetables were luke warm at best and there was only 'dregs' in the bottom of the gravy 'barrel' Maybe it was because we were late in the afternoon but if they want to take bookings at this time I would expect everything to be hot and enough gravy.We will try on another Sunday to see if there is a difference. The restaurant is a very pleasant setting with a beautiful view over the stunning golf course.

What an incredible venue and exemplary service. We got married at the local church in westerham on 16/09/16 followed by the reception at Westerham Golf club and what a perfect day, I cannot rate Westerham Golf club highly enough. Before our big day, Louise our wedding coordinator was a dream to work with, taking care of everything, including some rather intricate planning as we had a horse and carriage as our transport and a pork pie as our wedding cake. Louise responded so quickly to any queries we had which really put our minds at ease especially when planning such a big day. Neil and the staff were amazing on the day itself too, the venue looked stunning and was decorated exactly how we wanted. The food was superb and everything ran on time and to schedule. They were such a friendly team and gave a very professional service - nothing was too much trouble.When you plan for so long for the biggest day of your life, you always dream that your wedding day will be perfect and Westerham golf club certainly made that happen. I would highly recommend this venue.

We had more than a few requests for the day and nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing and the venue looked exceptional, an idyllic countryside setting for any wedding. The organisation from start to finish was professional and meticulous. I can't rate WESTERHAM highly enough.Thank you Paris, Louise and team we had a brilliant day.

We got married in Gravesend and had our Wedding Reception here at The Westerham Golf Club on the 23rd July 2016 and it was perfect! Louise our wedding planner has been incredible leading up to the day. Answering any little query we had so quickly which is just what you need when planning a big wedding! Neil was on hand from the moment we arrived on the day and stayed with us throughout the afternoon & evening ensuring everything run so smoothly and making sure we were look after. We can not thank you both enough :-)With 146 guests for the sit down we can honesty say they catered for us without fault. The meals served were amazing and hot with no table waiting to be served. The day flowed perfectly and we had nothing but complements from our guests of how lovely everything was.The surrounding grounds where the wedding photos were take are so pretty and look amazing. We were would highly recommend this Golf Club for a Wedding Venue. And wish we could do it all over again.

A lovely setting, the room was spacious, light and airy and had a lovely balcony overlooking the golf course. The food excellent and well presented, it was served quietly and efficiently and was hot, I hate eating cold food which is sometimes the case when large numbers are being catered. Everything was organised in a seamless fashion. If you are looking for a venue I would check it out. Plenty of small guest houses and reasonable priced small hotels in the area nearby for guests for overnight stay.

This is an ideal place to go for Sunday lunch, the food is always good. the main course is a carvery which always has a good selection of meats and vegetables ( the Pork crackling is to die for). Helpful and friendly staff add to the experience and if your lucky enough to get a window view, you won't be disappointed.

We cannot rate this venue highly enough. From the moment we booked this venue for our wedding Louise was always on hand to help with any queries or concerns we had. On the big day Neil helped everything run smoothly, even the young members of staff working behind the bar and serving the food were friendly and polite to our guests. Everyone commented on how delicious the food was, the main course in particular went down a real treat. We have no doubt that all the couples that follow us will have as fantastic a day as we did.

We originally chose this venue about 18 months ago and after a meeting with the Events Manager Bobby we decided to book this venue for our Daughters wedding, over the next year we had several meetings with Louise who took over from Bobby and it became apparent very early on that nothing would be to much trouble, right up to the day of the wedding.So where do i start, what a fantastic day!The venue was stunning, the food and service was excellent. I would like to mention in particular two people Louise and Neil who really helped make the whole day run very smoothly, even to the point that when one of the guests mentioned in passing that they weren't fond of mushrooms, Neil quietly arranged for that meal to be adapted for the guests needs. Louise was always open to any queries or concerns that i may have had, and always gave the impression that "Nothing was to much trouble.."Although i have mentioned Louise and Neil specifically i know that without the rest of the team working behind the scenes their jobs would be harder.So i would just like to say a Massive thank you for all your help and support in the planning and completion of a truly wonderful never to be forgotten day. All our expectations were truly exceeded and Sam and Pete's visions were fulfilled 100%.I would not hesitate to recommend your venue for anyone else thinking of holding a wedding there. Finally i would like to say a big thank you from myself and my husband Colin for making this special day so memorable.

We are so glad we chose westerham as our wedding venue. The team make sure everything is as you would want it. We can't thank Matt enough for everything he did on the big day for us. He listened to what we wanted and got things done. Fantastic venue!!!!

We have been attending a wedding reception at Westerham Golf Club. This is 80s facility which does need updating. White chair covers were stained and dirty before we even took our pre-named places. The bar serves low quality wines and when we ordered water, we were given tap water.Grounds are very well maintained and there is ample parking. Staff is pleasant and courtageous.Our sat nav has sent us through maddy road so check the map beforehand. It is very secluded place.

I am so pleased we chose Westerham Gold Club. The staff are great. Louise was so organised and friendly and could not do enough to help, a pleasure to coordinate with. On the day we were looked after, the catering manager did a superb job. It has lovely views, great for fireworks. Everyone loved the food. Really good value. Only regret is that I cannot do it all again.

Excellent occasion & picturesque location for Sunday lunch. Table well decorated with Xmas novelties but the highlife was the carvery. Expertly presented by the chef whose carving skills & presentation were superb as was the size of the meat portions. Plenty of choice of vegetables & large plates to accommodate those with a healthy appetite.Good service & menu choice would certainly merit a return visit.

Our Christmas Party was held last week, we were well looked after from our booking to the party, the food was excellent and staff were very friendly, and above all I managed to please the management!!!

We had been invited by friends, members of the Golf Club, to a December Sunday Lunch. Three courses, complete with Xmas crackers, and a selection of four different roasts from the carvery. Well presented, and, as usual, my eyes were bigger than my stomach, so I felt more than satisfied and only just managed to leave an empty plate following the wide choice of deserts on offer. However, a walk around the golf course following the coffee and chocolate mint helped to work off my excess consumption. With the discounts of membership vouchers the meal, complete with a bottle of wine came to only £16/head, around half of what you might expect outside in other restaurants. A venue, overlooking the 9th &18th holes of the wonderfully maintained course just outside of the M25, provides a magnificent setting for dining. We have also been here before fir a wedding a couple of years ago, but in warmer times with the sun setting over the course.

First impressions count. From then on, up until the last email sent before the wedding itself, Louise was simply superb. I must confess that I needed a lot of help with the planning and felt completely safe in Louise's hands. She responded promptly to every email and addressed every query that I had. Nothing was too small or too big and this made planning our wedding so enjoyable. Thank you so much Louise.The day itself was managed by Neal who executed everything we asked of him to perfection. He was literally our right hand man and he held the entire event together - especially during a particularly hairy moment when my father in law fell off his chair in a non alcohol related accident (!) and fractured his arm. I've never seen anyone work so hard with such a happy smile on his face. Thank you Neal.The venue is simply beautiful and you can do a lot with it - we had the most spectacular firework display over the course, a jazz pianist and photobooth. Ultimately it's really the people who make experiences memorable and special. We can't thank Louise and Neal enough for the professionalism and warmth with which they handled our wedding and also both going the extra mile to ensure we had the best day of our lives. I just have one wish - that we could do it all again!

Went to a friends Wedding at this venue at the weekend and we all had an amazing time. Venue was great with stunning views over the greens, making some great pictures of the Bride, Groom and guests. All the staff were great, the food was lovely and the whole event ran like clockwork.Thanks Westerham for a great day

My husband and I attended our good friends wedding on Saturday 19th September. We all had a lovely day. Absolutely perfect and picturesque setting for their special day. All the staff were smart, efficient and polite. Nothing was too much trouble. A big thank you to all the staff involved on the day.

As a PA and Events Manager I am the most painfully organised and controlling person ever, add that to being a bride and you're asking for a nightmare. I met Louise at WGC 9 months before our big day, instantly fell for the venue and very much for Louise, another detail focused, organised professional with a cracking sense of humour. I was honest from the get go about my ideas, need for spreadsheets and volume of questions, also advising I had organised two big weddings at Penshurst Place and Mountains, so I had pretty high expectations with what I was after. Louise never failed to impress with her response time, flexibility, support and ideas whenever I emailed. The final meeting was so smooth running and I felt so relaxed knowing she and Neil would look after us I genuinely had no worries, so unlike me. They handled all our vendors too, I had nothing to do with their set up which was a weight off my mind,The day finally arrived and I can tell you without second thought, it was perfect.The venue looked completely stunning, intimate and totally wowed us all. The mojitos we wanted as the arrival drink were delicious and arranged in a heart shape and served with smiles. The swift change in the room set up was seamless. Neil was there overseeing everything and he was so personable and so on it. Highlight for hubby was being taken out with our photographer on the buggies to get lots of pictures. The best fun and the fact he kept topping up our gins was even better. When it came to the food, well, it's was delicious. We had a hog and a fabulous buffet which was swarmed by our guests who had seconds and thirds! The three puddings we had chosen were of such standard I swear I haven't eaten better in five star restaurants in London (with my work I am so lucky to have dined in the most incredible places) The team worked relentlessly on topping drinks, tidying tables, then arranging my mum to decorate our wedding cheese cake and presenting it to us, lighting our million candles, supporting our want to have dusk shots on the golf course, Neil was just there for anything and everything. Set up and break down was so easy too, we have everything we took and it had all been carefully put in the reception area for easy pick up.I would recommend this venue over and over again and can't wait to get home from honeymoon to be able to contact Louise and Neil personally to tell them how special they made us feel and how incredibly perfect they made our day. I encourage you to visit and meet with the team before you judge based on negative reviews, I hand on heart tell any readers of this review it was the best day of our lives.

We can highly recommend Westerham Golf Club as the perfect setting for a wedding/party, and the one floor layout makes it perfect for keeping the guests all together from day to night. The back drop of the golf course is stunning for photos as well. The whole team made our wedding day a dream come true in August 2015. All the staff were helpful from when we booked the venue to the day after the wedding.The venue looked amazing inside and out. The food was stunning, potions where huge and all guests commented on how delicious the food was. The venue were very accommodating when it came to different dietaries and special requests as we also had a 60th birthday party to celebrate that day as well. Nothing was too much trouble for the team.Special thanks to Matt who looked after us on the day and Bobbie who was there from start to finish with the planning. The whole day went just as we planned and as the Bride I was able to enjoy the day as I knew everything was in hand for us.

Diarrhea – Hair In Food – Missing Decorations For Wedding Cake – Lack Of Organization From Wedding Orgainizer. The list can go on! We chose the Westerham Golf Club for our wedding in August 2015 due to the picturesque setting, and the décor, and the wedding organizer gave us confidence that we would get help in arranging the wedding. Oh how we were wrong.We had very little contact or assistance from Louise, who was our wedding organizer throughout the preparation stages, and when it came close to our wedding date, we were asked to provide the suppliers contact details so they could liaise with them to ensure they turned up at the right time in the morning. It turned out, we had to do this too, on-top of everything else.On the day of the wedding, we had a number of problems that the general manager Mike Chubb has completely washed his hands of.A few of the problems we raised with them were:• ¼ of our guests incurred upset stomach with diarrhea • Human hair in the food• Drinks being collected half full throughout the day• Suppliers being told they can leave items and not taking responsibility to ensure they were put in place• Missing decorations for the Wedding cake• No wheat free bread, when a wheat free meal was orderedThe list goes on, but without going on too much, I will leave it here.Quote from Michael Chubb, General Manager of the Westerham Golf Club “We will offer assistance if asked but it is not our field of expertise.You are of course entitled to share your opinion however this is my final stance on the matter.”If you want a wedding to remember for all the right reasons, I wouldn’t recommend having it at the Westerham Golf Club in Kent.

We had an absolutely amazing Wedding Day at this venue! From Louise helping with our planning through to Neil on the day, we could not have asked for better support from the staff at Westerham. All the guys on the day were fab. The venue alone is gorgeous and so many guests commented on what a lovely venue this was, especially in the summer if you want the outside space but also not to feel like your guests are completely split as the balcony runs all along the side of the room. The food was delicious (although my stomach was flipping so could barely eat on the day but I enjoyed the menu tasting session! Haha) and when choosing our menu, they were really accommodating to any of our guests dietary needs. The backgrounds for the pictures are beautiful. I would absolutely recommend this venue.

We held our wedding ceremony and reception at Westerham Golf Club in June 2015.Having looked at a number of other venues in the area, we were blown away by the club and its surroundings. We knew it was the venue for us and provisionally booked it on the spot.From the outset the team at the venue, Bobbie (planning) and Neil (food, beverages and generally making sure things ran like clockwork on the day), could not be more helpful and pleasant to deal with. Nothing was too much for them and they answered all of our questions and coped with all of our requests. On the day, Neil was a very reassuring and comforting presence, discreetly keeping us both informed of what was going on and ensuring that we were OK.The food and drink were exceptional and we had great feedback from our 80 day guests who had a 3 course meal. The evening food was also very well received. We used a number of their preferred suppliers including Bows Hire and Expert Entertainment who by knowing the venue made things so easy and made the room look amazing. We also had a number of people ask for the details of our DJ.We would highly recommend the club for your wedding day.

We had our wedding day at Westerham GC on 9/05/15 - and it was simply perfect! When we visited the venue for the first time we immediately fell in love with it and didn't hesitate to book. Little did we know that it came with an amazing team who went above and beyond to make our day so special. Our wedding coordinator Louise was brilliant and always on hand whenever we needed any help, the food was amazing (very generous portions) - something our guests all commented on. On the day Matt was brilliant and made sure everything ran smoothly and Neil made the best cocktails for our reception - these all received great reviews! The grounds make this venue even more special, we have some beautiful photo's. The balcony was in full use also allowing our guests to have some great photos’s with a beautiful backdrop. It really was our dream wedding and we’re very grateful for the effort that went into making sure it went without a hitch. I can’t praise this venue enough and would highly recommend it.

We got married at westerham golf club on 3rd may, the day could not have gone any better for us. The team at westerham were all fantastic but a special thank you to Louise who made the planning so much easier. The venue it's self is amazing, serene and perfectly kept. We chose to give people a food option choice and we had a few challenging guests but Louise and the team couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful. We would do it all again tomorrow and we would pick westerham every time.

We had our wedding reception at Westerham Golf Club on 29th May. Bobbie and the team were great, they made me feel at ease and were very calm and flexible with all of my demands - nothing was too much. They allowed me as 'a control freak' to set up the night before which meant I was relaxed on the day. We had lots of guests, they allowed me to add the personal touches without any problems. The food and drink was excellent, guests have stated what a great fun wedding it was. the room looked amazing. The staff were very attentive and made me and my husband ;-) feel very special for the day. Thank you for all the staff as I know they all worked so hard!!

My Husband and I recently had our Wedding reception at Westerham Golf Club on 18/04/2015. It was the most perfect day we could have imagined. The staff on the day were absolutely brilliant, nothing was a problem or too much effort ……. even when we had an extra guest turn up un-expectedly for the meal! The venue itself is stunning with the brick walls and exposed wooden beams, the views of the balcony are incredible and made for a spectacular backdrop for our photos. They were tentative to everyone’s needs making sure that ourselves and all 90 of our day guests had a thoroughly enjoyable day. The food was incredible and the drinks free-flowing. On the run up to the big day our main point of contact (Bobbie) was brilliant, from the moment we booked the venue up to the call the day before the wedding to wish us good luck, She was there for every question and worry we had and made sure that everything was as stress free as it could possibly be. We honestly can’t praise and thank the staff and venue enough. 10 out of 10 for every aspect.

We held our wedding reception here on the 10th April and I can honestly say it was the perfect venue. Our wedding coordinator Louise was fantastic from the minute we looked round. Nothing was too much trouble and she was on hand the whole way to offer advice and assurance (and reassurance about our centrepieces!) On the day itself Neil was brilliant in making sure the day ran smoothly and was constantly on hand to make sure we were happy and to ask if there was anything else they could do etc Everyone commented on the food which was a seriously good wedding meal and the bar staff came into their own knocking up 94 cocktails to hand out to our guests as their favours! The venue itself is the perfect set up for a wedding especially as the bar and dancefloor are all in the same room. We were very lucky with the weather and the balcony was always in use with guests commenting on the stunning views over the golf course and generally enjoying the sunshine. It's a fabulous spot and so peaceful it's difficult to believe you're so close to the M25!! We were thrilled when we knew we could have fireworks there too, it really clinched it for us. If you're considering booking it for your wedding, do it, you won't be disappointed!!

My son and his now wife had their wedding service and reception here. The staff are absolutely fabulous, they are young, very professional and flexible. The golf course is just beautiful, high up, incredible views of the surrounding countryside. Wonderful back drop for the wedding and photos.When we came for the menu tasting we liked the chicken from one dish, the sauce from another and the potato from yet another. When asking if we could mix it up they smiled and simply said yes. I also have special dietary needs and they catered for this without any fuse at all.We were able to decorate the venue the night before the wedding, leading to a less stressful morning of the wedding. On the day the staff were amazing, things were running late due to my son and his wife going off on a golfing buggy, they had a wonderful time, and what a sight it was, with her in her wedding dress! The staff just slowed everything down until we were ready, no pressure at all. (on us anyway)The food was delightful, beautifully cooked and enjoyed by all. The servicing of the food ran very smoothly and nobody was left feeling they were served last. I would certainly highly recommend it for any celebration where there is a need for a large venue. We got married on the 28th December 2014 and we could not rate Westerham highly enough. All of the staff on the day were brilliant, professional and attentive. The whole process of booking the venue and planning with Louise was easy and they were always on hand to help and answer any questions. The food and beverage managers on the day kept everything in check and were extremely professional. The food was amazing and we gave guests the choice for all 3 courses. The golf club handled the meal choices flawlessly and all the guests mentioned how great their meals were. I went to my Son and daughter in laws wedding on 28th March 2015 at Westerham Golf Club. The venue was ideal with wonderful views and plenty of parking. I have never been to a wedding where the staff were so attentive and professional. The food was served promptly, hot and very tasty.Our guests came from as far away as America and all were impressed with the venue.A perfect day.

I had my wedding at Westerham Golf Club on the 28th March 2015. Myself and my new wife could not have asked for more. From start to finish the staff were fantastic. The front of house staff could not do enough for us and the Food was amazing. We had lots of guests tell us that it was the best meal they have ever had at a wedding.In the lead up to the wedding the staff were very helpful and always willing to give advice. We had a perfect day and would like to thank everyone at Westerham Golf Club for giving us one of the best memories of our lives.

I went to a wedding here on 28/03/15 and I had a brilliant time. The venue was perfect for a wedding. Plenty of space with a cosy log fire at one end and big wooden beams across the ceiling which looked lovely with drapes and twinkle lights hanging from them. The team were very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. I had slow cooked lamb which melted in the mouth and a chocolate pud to die for! I have actually been here once before for the Sunday roast. This was also lovely and I would definitely go again....although I would recommend booking as it was very busy on the day we went.

At a wedding on the 20/03/15, We thought the service and food very poor, value for money, I don't think so. Things promised, not forth coming,. Good venue, but they need to get professionals for the catering side of things.

We enjoyed this so much 2 years ago so thought we would do it again - good decision, it was even nicer than last time although the weather was similarly miserable, I will get out on that balcony sometime!Excellent cavery, all very fresh and seemed to be prepared in small batches so nothing is left standing for long. Starters and desserts are served at the table. My starter was an individual portion of baked camenbert with onion marmalade and a selection of beautiful breads. Desserts were chosen from a stunning array.The seating was arranged really nicely' it was very busy but we had lots of space. We were by one of the huge windows and a good view of some of the very keen golfers braving the weather!Great wheelchair access, good value, we will be back.

We have just held our wedding at Westerham Golf Club, and we had an amazing day. Everything was so smooth from the start to finish, nothing was too much trouble. Matt, Neil and Meg made sure that on the day everything went to plan. All our guests commented on how nice the wedding breakfast was, most wanted to go back for seconds. Leading up to the day Louise and Bobbie were always on hand to assist with the planning and answer any questions we had. Customer Service was exceptional and we would highly recommend this great venue for a Wedding.

After researching suitable local restaurants, our family chose Westerham golf club based on menu and price.Overall an enjoyable lunch for 5 adults and extras eg. table decorations, party poppers unexpected. Food was plentiful and mostly well cooked but some items were not that hot and so we had to ask for them to be re-heated. Staff were very helpful regarding this but some appeared to have little waiting experience. Although there many pre-booked guests in the room, there was a long delay before the desserts were served (40 minutes ie twice the time stated by the manager). In spite of a few niggles, we would consider returning for a special occasion meal.

Had 60 guests for Sunday lunch. The food and the venue were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble for Louise , Neil and his team. I would highly recommend this Venue and will be returning for Sunday lunch again.

The staff were extremely friendly and professional which allowed myself and my husband to completely relax and enjoy our special day. We were particularly impressed with the food, we had a lovely food tasting meal a few months before and discovered we were allowed two choices for each course plus a vegetarian. All the food was beautifully cooked (not easy with lots of people) and many of our friends and family commented on their dinner. The venue is just lovely with stunning views and a really attractive room with exposed beams and brick work making it much more than just a function room. Thank you so much Westerham Golf Club our day could not have been any better!!

My daughter chose Westerham golf club as the venue for her wedding reception after visiting a number of other venues. The preplanning all went well, the food tasting which we had in January to sort out the wedding breakfast menu was great - we were able to have two choices for each course and a vegetarian option. Nothing seemed too much trouble for all the staff, both in advance and on the day. We have had a lot of compliments from guests about both the food and the stunning view from the balcony, plus the lovely high-ceilinged restaurant. It was a perfect day after a beautiful church service.

We had our wedding reception at Westerham Golf Club on 17th May 2014. We had an absolutely amazing day, the venue was dressed to perfection by Bows Hire, the venue is a beautiful setting with amazing views of the golf course which is kept so well and lakes, it has an amazing balcony which was great as it was a warm day so it was made full use of, the welcome from the staff when our guests arrived was great, all very attentive, canapés were delicious so I was told as I was to busy to talking to everyone to eat at that point and then went off for photos on a golf buggy and had some lovely pictures of just me and my husband. The wedding breakfast was amazing and I had so many great comments on the food. I have got to comment on the service we got from the staff at the venue, firstly the events manager who made things very easy for us and helped with timings and advise we needed, we met the Head Chef who was also very helpful in making our decisions on which dishes to have, the waiters/waitresses were great and the Food and Beverage manager who made the day run so smoothly we couldn't have done it without him, he advised us when we needed to cut the cake and reminded us on timings etc and took the pressure off of us so much it helped us just enjoy our day. Cant recommend the place highly enough and all round fantastic venue for a wedding, big birthday or any other celebrations.

We were delighted with the efficiency of Westerham Golf Club. The administration was excellent and the staff serving the lunch could not have been more helpful. It is a beautiful location, overlooking the golf course. We can well understand why it is a popular wedding location

We had our wedding day and what an amazing day it was. We cannot fault the staff from the time we booked until the time we collected out things the day after the wedding. The staff are amazing and attention to detail was fantastic. We could not have had such an amazing wedding day without the help and support from everyone involved on our big day. Food was fantastic and we had so many compliments on the venue and the food. The venue is unique and has a late licence so your wedding day does not end early which was important to us.
