We love this pub, it's our local, but it's got even better. The food has been lifted onto a different level. Cannot fault the quality of food was superb, the service was attentive and the atmosphere is always great. It's a great pub, you must visit.

Great night out was served by Lewis throughout the night and he was absolutely quality. Everyone drink he made was amazing, Great drinks and great prices

I'd heard a lot about the Sunday Roast at Sisters from some vegetarian friends so thought I'd find out what it was like for a carnivore. The ladies I dined with were delighted with their vegetarian Wellingtons (which did look good I must say) and my topside of beef roast went down very well too. In fact, it was a trip back to my youth with the delicious meat, potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, gravy and so on. I couldn't pay a higher compliment than to compare the dish with my Mum's cooking! What must be added to this is the congenial atmosphere at Sisters, the ambience there is conducive to enjoyable dining. The service is also unbeatable, you'd not find friendlier professionalism anywhere in town. Sisters is excellent for great home cooking and their amiable ambience.

Main meals good,but ordered banoffi pie.What a mistake!Thick hard dry pastry base,impossible to eat.Very little banana in filling,all toffee and cream.Very disappointed,as sweet shortcrust pastry is so easy to make.

This place is a gem. The food was really nice, we enjoyed the red prawn curry, prawn pad thai and the prawn crackers. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, especially Roger. Definitely coming back.

Spent a rainy afternoon in the Monarch today. Lad named Josh behind the bar brought the sunshine. Viiiiiiiibbbbbeeeees

Initial good visit marred by piss-poor customer service. Popped in on Sunday with the family for a quick bite and a couple of beverages after attending the King's Theatre Open Day. Initially impressed having not visited Porters in a while. Experienced marred by Chef's fiddling the stock by cutting portion size. Minor issue... Menu said 6 chicken wings specifically and was served 5. On raising with the server however the response was poor. "Chef's changing the spec" is not a noteworthy excuse when the menu clearly states something else. Server didn't fixed the issue (clearly under the guidance of misgyided Chefs). Manager also did not attend to fix the issue... unclear as to if they were actually informed. Dissapointing response to a small service issue that could have been easily solved... just lead to frustration. Shame as food was good and bear choices excellent... won't be returning however as just can't trust the menu will be honoured. Suggest patrons check what dishes include in detail before ordering and paying.

Following our darts games along the street, we stopped in Meat and Barrel for a cocktail. I ordered the Bloody Mary which I found to be very nice. Some of the other commented their cocktails were not so good. Service was good, the restaurant side was getting busy through the afternoon.

We didn't have a booking but luckily they could offer us a 'high table' which was fine. Very helpful staff, varied menu (mainly seafood) and wine list. The food was delicious and we didn't have to wait too long.

Staff were friendly and attentive, perfect location for a coffee break. Ended having ortobello mushroom and egg in a granary roll washed down with a latte was value for money in Southsea. More importantly were the fresh, clean facilities

Me and my family came to the vaults for a few drinks before and after the SIX musical. good drinks, friendly staff and i loved the overall vibe. Happy with everything other than that they allow dogs in but i can see how lovely that is for dog owners im just a scardy cat. Would recommend to a friend.

Genuinely some of the worst service I've ever received in a spoons. You don't walk in expecting much, just good food and drinks and mediocre service but even then they managed to limbo under the pole of mediocrity. The man who served us gave us an earful about other patrons making mistakes on the app, and how it was annoying for him when people make mistakes. People are human, let them make mistakes, it's not brain surgery, it's not worth the stress. Anyway moral of the story, food is great, drinks are fine, staff could use some time off.

We fancied a quiz so headed to The Jolly Sailor. Quiz and curry for only £3 per person. Curry was lovely, quiz was great and the staff were really friendly. We had a great night. Can't go wrong for £3. A real bargain.
