Booked a table for a very large group for a special family birthday. Staff were really helpful and accommodating during the booking process and especially so when we managed to add an extra 6 to the table on the morning of the booking! The staff on the day were fantastic, so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and brought out so quickly and all together, which was amazing as our party was so big. Huge thanks to you all, you really helped to make my Mum's birthday super special - I'm so grateful. Would definitely recommend!!

NO LONGER a first class lunch at Kinghams. Great service in idyllic surroundings. Hey Jack I shall NOT be making further visits with business colleagues and friends. UPDATE 12 AUGUST 2022. SADLY WE NO LONGER VISIT THIS WONDERFUL RESTAURANT Reason... I would always go for the Steak on the menu but it is not to be found on the menu anymore. My partner suffers a fish allergy so that rules out much for her. My friends say let's go to Kinghams for lunch and we have to say NO. I Used to love lunch there with friends but it's not my sort of dining anymore such a shame that an English Restaurant does not offer a decent steak anymore. Sadly now overpriced and pretentious. And I'm NOT going Veggie. But good luck to you all for some great memories. Sadly the response from the management did not answer my question so have down graded my score.

Oh dear, when imheard that there was a pub in Surrey that brewed its own beer, I just had to give it a go, popped in and waited at the bar, after a couple of minutes a barmaid appeared and I ordered a pint, after pulling it, she yelled to someone out the back, is the beer meant to be cloudy, she poured another one that to be honest didn't look a lot better, I ordered a croque monsieur, I sat down, the beer definately had seen better days, then a burnt cheese and ham toastie turned up, that is nothing like a good croque, left half of the beer, and half the toastie, won't be back

Last Tuesday I had the best dinner I have had in years...yes, really. I've been to all the gourmet pubs in this part of Surrey and this was, to my surprise, the best. The chef is called Adam and he is really really good. I promise you I have no connection with this pub. I don't know the owners, or the chef. The prices are very reasonable, 30% less than the Parrot for instance, which is up the road. We had three courses including one main which was the most expensive item on the menu, (venison as tender as fillet steak) and with drinks the bill for two was £103. Unfortunately we were the only customers at 8.15pm on a Tuesday. I just couldn't believe such a brilliant place was empty. (I believe some people ate earlier. Please please go to this beautiful pub for the best food ever. ( I left a review a year ago)

This was by far the best Christmas meal, I have ever had. The food was piping hot and the staff were so friendly. My husband and I will definitely be going back again next year. This pub used to be one of my regulars over 30 years ago until I stopped travelling to Dorking. It has certainly kept its charm and wonderful food. Val

Came for lunch and I suspect many of the places in the area do a Sunday roast lunch with a reduced a la carte menu. Sadly I chose the roast pork with crackling. It was a bad choice on my part. There was nothing redeeming about this meal I'm afraid. The crackling was so hard that it was inedible. The pork dried out, the gravy from a packet and the vegetables undercooked and I suspect kept too long under heat lamps or similar, the yorkshire pudding raw in the middle. Truly awful food. On the upside, service was friendly, the beer cold, and garden stunning on a rare sunny afternoon in the UK! Such a shame.
