The best restaurants serving British food in St. Peter's and North Laine Brighton and Hove South East

Ordered 2 children's cod and chips, size of portion was for a 1 year old bearly a snack. 2 hungry children after. Put so much salt in was in edable. Ordered form other fish and chips shops got quadruple the portion size for the same price.

What can I say? So far my favorite place for a Sunday roast has always been The Bristol Bar in Kemptown (which is always exceptional). So what a delight to find this place in Pyecombe. Me and my girlfriend came here today for a Sunday roast. What a lovely pub. And the amazing staff (big shout out to the wonderful Alyssia who was just delightful and very friendly). The lamb roast was delicious. Pretty much every thing was perfect. I would 100% recommend this place and we will definitely be going back for more. 10/10 for everything and a huge thank you to the wonderful staff.

Just perfect, a very warm and efficient welcome, had the eggs benedict florentine, which was really delicious. The spinach caught my eye as it is listed as "house spiced wilted spinach" and if that's a secret recipe, I would not be surprised! Real depth of flavours, but not overwhelming and presented just right. Great coffee, too. Good value for money, especially in the heart of Brighton. See you again soon!

Cannot recommend TFI Lunch enough. Easily the best cafe in Brighton. Amazing food, so friendly and great value. Lovely area to sit and eat too if you choose to eat in. 10/10

This is one of my best coffee places in Brighton but something went wrong recently. Staff used to whip up a superb coffee, without fail, but the new person is not exactly a coffee person. She also looks as if she is there under duress, not because she wants to serve coffee. A smile and a little welcoming vibe would help. And also, if your coffee goes wrong, which can happen to anybody, maybe make a decent new one.

I’ve been here twice. The food is so good that I always go out of my way to go here. It’s quick, tasty, clean and reasonably priced. I generally have a hot breakfast but they have a range of fresh foods like salads, roast vegetables, rice and pasta. It’s clear to see the cook takes pride in what is being served up.

The typical English bar. And on the language exchange day (Thursday) I enjoyed having so many nationalities wanting to talk and exchange experiences. I will repeat.

Beautiful egg and avocado on sourdough. Very generous portions. Brill.

One of the best pubs I’ve ever been to! My sister and I tried to get some food at the end of the night, but unfortunately the nearby takeaway was closed. When I came back empty handed, the bouncers very kindly gave us their food. The nicest bouncers I’ve ever met, reasonably priced drinks and warm welcoming atmosphere. Can’t recommend The Prince Albert enough.
