The typical English bar. And on the language exchange day (Thursday) I enjoyed having so many nationalities wanting to talk and exchange experiences. I will repeat.

Had Sunday Lunch here recently. It was divine! Great choice, cooked beautifully and super service. Will definitely be back.

This pub is lovely. It's clean, tidy, and welcoming. Daffyd's efforts have turned this pub in to a kovely pub. Well done Daffyd. The drinks are very much priced at Brighton prices. At the moment, (Oct 24) Daffyd has brought in Antonio from "Pizza's by Antonio". These are not production pizzas each one is prepared by Antonio, and cooked by a wood fire for extra flavour. Outstanding pizza's. My wife and I had a wonderful afternoon.

I love going to this pub for the Open Mic Nights!! Everyone is so welcoming and the bar staff love having the live music every week. A free drink after you perform is always a plus! Ashley does a fab job in organising the evenings and is so encouraging also.

Been attending the open mic for a few weeks now and have absolutely loved the vibe created by Ash and danger line band. Great spot for a great evening 🤙🏼

Fabulous Sunday roast, very relaxed and friendly atmosphere and gorgeous staff. Partner had the lamb and I had the veggie wellington, both excellent with lots of vegetables and perfect roast potatoes. Crucially there was also enough gravy! Thank you, we will be back x

This pub is amazing! It’s cosy and beautifully decorated. The staff are friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The food was delicious, good price and good portions. Brilliant pub! Held my mums wake in there this afternoon. Lovely spread of sandwiches (they were a bit hit!), sausage rolls etc. Was thoroughly enjoyed. Lovely service too. Will definitely be a regular here from now on! Thanks guys for making my mum's wake so well catered for! 🙂

The terrace is lovely and big and they have very cold Leffe beer 🍺. Nice music normally.

Brilliant service, ales always in great condition. To top it off! I walked in from the rain, and my glasses were all fogged up. Asked for a napkin to clean my glasses. Instead, the landlord had optical lens wipes for me. How often do you get service like that?

Went in for a Sunday roast, thought the food took a very long time to come from when I ordered, I understand that if the kitchen is small etc. but it did feel like i was waiting a bit too long. The roast itself was ok, went for the beef brisket but wouldn’t really market it as brisket as it was just thin floppy pieces of beef with a lot of fat round the edges and for the price of £16.95 I expected better. I didn’t order dessert but I did witness other tables doing so and it seemed like that took just as long as the roasts and that was just a brownie and a bit of ice cream?! Overall the atmosphere was nice, and staff were very friendly and helpful!

Went down for a roast and absolutely blown away by how good it was. Friendly staff who were great from when I booked on the phone all the way through to paying up. Food was absolutely delicious - the best I’ve had in Brighton by a long way. I’ve also been coming to this pub for a long time now so I know what it is like inside and I’ve always thought it one of the better traditional pubs in Brighton. If anything they have made it better-with stylish, comfy chairs and lots of room. To boot-sensibly priced too. Can’t recommend it more highly.

It was OK. Not sure about the landlord using it as his front room. He took up a whole section with his partner and two toddlers. (Especially as he wasn't working and it got fairly busy). The Toddlers crawling about the floor and going behind bar. Not sure if I was more concerned with that or that it wasn't the cleanest with them to being on their all fours. I thought a bit overpriced, 6.50 for a midranged beer. Can't judge food as didn't have any although was looking for some nibbles, nothing really that could be described as any (or the couple that were there, were ,in my opinion, over priced so didn't order any. I think it was about £5-9 for a portion of chips? £15 for nachos? ) I think I would want a bit more of a professional approach rather than an extension of the managers/owners front room. I Don't know, maybe I'm being a bit harsh......... It did have an OK atmosphere with a good mix of age ranges and people. Friendly enough and efficient service. It was OK.

Lovely pub with a good beer selection and a fab Sunday roast. Came here as a group of 5 - we had the smoked chicken and slow cooked pork roasts. Everyone was full to the brim and very satisfied. Highly recommend 👌

Excellent birthday meal with family- we preordered a delicious tomahawk steak, cooked perfectly and accompanied by delicious sides- nachos, corn, slaw and chips. Recommend fried pickles, a must have! Great ambience with cosy fire! Highly recommend

A pub in a residential street will not have the busy atmosphere you'd expect from the likes of pubs in the lanes, but that won't distract from a seriously great experience. With friendly staff and great food, it's more than worth a visit if you're in the area.

It was the weekend before the Labour Party Conference, and Mr. Corbyn had finished speaking at a local rally about 15 minutes before we arrived, so the bar was packed. As my wife and I desperate for a snack, we considered ourselves very lucky to get a small table to ourselves. Great beer, but the food, pork croquettes (or were they rissoles?) and scotch egg were a little on the expensive side. Tasty, though. Despite being very busy, service was surprisingly efficient, the bar staff being very precise about who had arrived at the bar in what order.

Fantastic food. Everybody happy. Our eleven year old, teenager and all of the adults thoroughly enjoyed the food. Perfectly cooked, unfussy service, good wine all at a good price and in a lovely pub garden. Can't wait to go back.

Fantastic food. Amongst our party, which included an eleven year old, a teenager and several adults we had burgers, ribs and steak along with several delicious side orders (fantastic corn on the cob) We all loved what we had and sat in the garden; sunny but plenty of umbrellas. Nice wine at a good price. So glad we found this place.

I must say I was pleasantly surprised with the food. I had the calamari which was lovely baby squid. We also had the whitebait, smash burger and mac n cheese. It was a really lovely meal and staff were friendly. I will definitely be going back again.

Absolutely amazing place to go to the lovely bar man Fin is the best bartender I have ever had and I highly recommend this venue just because he was so welcoming and wonderful!! 12/10 stars would recommend!! The pork belly must be one of the best roasts in Brighton! Aranchini balls & Mac n Cheese were good too.

It was a busy Saturday evening, it was very busy had to wait but that’s expected, food was nice and fresh so all was good. Just the Manager (I presumed it was the manager a gentleman in a short and trouser) spoke to the staff quite abruptly especially a young lad that was working really hard it’s wasn’t pleasant for customers to see if I’m honest.

Step. A device for ensuring that I exit a pub horizontally rather than vertically. And after only a pint and a half of Harvey's best. Alas I seem to be a bit liable to these sort of incidents these days. No damage, and the landlord was a real sweetie for picking me up and sitting me inside for a moment to recover. No damage since you ask. Five stars to the pub for having such a nice landlord. The Harvey's was good too. I will be back!

Brilliant little traditional Victorian pub, tucked away off the main street. Super friendly and best prices locally. Great decor, cute beer garden but unfortunately the heaters have been removed. Dog friendly too.

We had visited Nessa’s kitchen at this lovely pub a couple of weeks ago and were so impressed with the quality of the food when my partner’s family came to visit from overseas we had to take them there! Absolutely STUNNING! We opted for two of the charcuterie platters to start with which were perfect size and beautifully presented. Three of the four ordered from the specials board, Jerk Chicken, Ox cheeks and a goat curry while I opted for a classic bangers and mash. All of which were a true delight. Amazing, rich flavours and more than sufficient portion sizes. They were extremely impressed, as were we again! Will definitely be back and you should too! Thanks Ness!

I went for a meal with my partner and was surprised with this fabulous meal - lamb kofta... 🤤 Rich flavours and a great combination of textures, I share a picture as they speak louder than words. Went back to the Park Crescent after a long absence to see if things had improved... Unfortunately the great bartender that was there last time was gone and the grumpy manager was still there, but I've given them one more rating. this time as I got the sense he was trying not to be as unhelpful as last time... pretty grumpy still tbh though...

The new guy behind the bar has been brilliant on our last view visits - goes out of his way to help us and make us feel welcome. Unfortunately when the manager appears the atmosphere changes - you can feel the staff tense up and this is reflected in the service... he obviously needs a new challenge someplace else. We'd love to come all the time and the new guy makes us wish we could but it's a shame that his hard work is ruined by the one individual.

Went for a Sunday roast. My friend had walked past on a few occasions and wanted to try this place. We actually tried a couple of other places first, but they were closed. So glad that they were. Greeted by lovely welcoming staff, ambiance was great. Service & food brilliant. I will make this my regular Sunday lunch spot when I'm in Brighton.

Had a short break in Brighton last weekend and our daughter was told about this pub and had booked 6 of us in for Sunday Roast Dinner. After placing our order we had to wait nearly an hour for it to arrive at our table,(they were busy) but the wait was well worth it. Wow, what a Sunday Roast, Beef, Roast Potatoes, Carrots, Parsnips, Broccoli, Leeks, Yorkshire pudding and because of the wait they brought us a side dish of Cauliflower Cheese (my favourite) all covered in gravy but not soaked like in some places I can mention. For a change one could actually TASTE each of the vegetables individually. If we ever go to Brighton again, this is one place we will visit again, most definately.

Popped in for a pint and a wee drop of whisky. Nice and clean outside, with tables well presented and of good quality. Waitress came over and very well equipped with card machines etc so no messing about. Drinks were ordered and brought out quickly. Good pint, plenty of options. Whisky was of good quality. Can’t fault it for a beer, good value prices. check it out

He estado en este pub más de una vez y en cada ocasión el gerente del bar es grosero, arrogante y habla con la gente como si fuera un inconveniente total. No nos decepcionó; barriga de cerdo de corral, pollo de corral y carne asada, todos excelentes. Mi esposa apreciaba poder ordenar una pequeña porción ya que las porciones regulares son enormes. Encantadores vegetales ligeramente cocidos y papas crujientes servidos por personal amable y sonriente en el jardín de sol. ¡Perfecto! Hazte un favor y ve aquí!

Ahora AMO el Park Crescent. Sinceramente lo hago. Han acertado la decoración. Han "hecho más" su jardín. . . se ve fabuloso Los inodoros están limpios (por extraño que me parezca cada vez más importante cuanto más me acerco a los cuarenta y tantos). El personal del bar es muy amable. Realmente adorable. Todos nosotros estábamos contentos con las opciones de bebidas.Sólo tuvimos dos problemas. La comida fue un poco decepcionante. Estaba feliz con la mía, pero dos miembros de nuestro grupo tenían burbujas y chillidos. Creo que la frase que uno de ellos usaba era 'demasiada burbuja'. . . Y no basta de chirriar '. Traducido, ambos coincidieron en que era principalmente papa. Y cuando cortaron con esperanza en sus huevos escalfados, eran duros y gomosos por dentro. Como dije, estaba feliz con mi comida. I was in Brighton on business and as it was a sunny Friday afternoon we wanted somewhere where we could grab some easy food and a beer to mull over our work.The Park Crescent was a great find - a lovely beer garden for about 30 people out the back to enjoy the sun in (a great midday suntrap too); some excellent beers on tap and better than average pub grub.A good place to go to get off the main front and relax with friends or do some business.

I came to this pub for the first time tonight for their new Monday Persian Pop-Ups meal. It was delicious from starter to dessert. Highly recommended!

He estado yendo por años y siempre tuve la burbuja y chirrido y ensalada. Me encantó el pub. Chef se ha ido y eso tiene. Tuvimos comida terrible allí recientemente.

Un pub de Hall & Woodhouse, nunca fue un buen comienzo para mí, pero en realidad encontré una cerveza decente, Pickled Partridge (por lo general, un nombre descuidado de H & W), por lo que es un buen comienzo. I visited this afternoon as I needed a quick bite to eat and this excellent pub had been recommended to me by a friend. I can't believe that having worked in the area for over 5 years that I'd never discovered it myself! A great variety of beer and ale and a good selection to choose from on the food menu.

Es un pub bien merece una visita. Fuimos el sábado, cuando la mayoría de los pubs estaban llenos de multitudes de fútbol. Pero El Crescent está en una ubicación muy céntrica pero tranquila. Buen ambiente, la cerveza era de primera clase y muy bien cuidado. Muy buena comida y buena relación calidad-precio. La falta de personal en nuestra visita pero aún así cuidado de forma eficiente y con una sonrisa alegre. Vale la pena una visita - jardín de cerveza!

you could be forgiven thinking you had left brighton. in a town know for its amazing food and beer, this establishment is riding on the fact that locals may be reluctant to go further afield. If you live close and can't be asked, this is a place for you. on the other hand, if you like tasty quality food and a great selection of beer, best keep moving along. shame they let the team down.

I am a regular customer with friends. Staff has always been great and helpful. Drinks are not expensive and have many options to choose.

Just had a fantastic meal with the family, fresh yorkie crisoy potatoes and home made gravy. I was very suprised by the amount of beef we got as well i genuinely struggled to finish it all. Staff were friendly and the food was delivered by the chefs with a smile will be recommending to my friends and visiting again. YUM YUM
