Tutti frutti in Brighton and Hove

I’ve been here twice. The food is so good that I always go out of my way to go here. It’s quick, tasty, clean and reasonably priced. I generally have a hot breakfast but they have a range of fresh foods like salads, roast vegetables, rice and pasta. It’s clear to see the cook takes pride in what is being served up.

£3.45 for the driest, blandest pain au chocolat. Madness.

I was passing by and saw this place, ordered a dish and it was so good. The atmosphere was quite good and I could feel I could chill and enjoy my meal without pressure and watching people walking and nice music in the background. The service was outstanding, nice chat with the guy attending me and he respected boundaries when he saw I wanted to keep enjoying the meal. Really 10/10

The food is top class have being there twice this week with family and taking more family there today it I really nice place to go and staff so friendly👍

Food Amazing,with variety of hot or cold to choose from,lovely salad bar and plenty to choose from and big helpings too. The staff are patient,helpful and accommodating to a fussy eater like myself and allways content and full when leaving,would recommend paying a visit, won't be disappointed.

excellent find foodwise but cafe desperately in need of a coat of paint especially around the skirtings and counter. Very grubby.

Had an excellent breakfast at this charming cafe where the staff are as friendly and welcoming as the atmosphere. We ordered 2 omelettes and they were cooked to perfection and served on spotlessly clean plates. The coffee was delicious and we bothhad 2 cups. The staff cleared the table and checked we were ok and the place felt well run and had a nice mixture of locals and regulars. Would recommend to anyone who values good old fashioned customer service and well cooked generous portions. A genuine Hove institution - keep it up!

Foods good, regular staff are lovely but the owners a bit of a lazy bugger so they closed a lot of the times you'd expect them to be and the lovely staff they do have don't end up staying long because of him

I have been eating at Tutti Frutti regularly for 7-8 years. They serve the best breakfast in Brighton by a long way. Eggs always poached to perfection and the bacon is top quality. Rob and Lucy are always efficient and friendly. I really can’t fault them.

Shockingly rude service with average food, there are much better places to enjoy your coffee and snack in Seven Dials, AVOID this place.

Great choice of breakfasts and reasonably priced. Delicious range of salads and generous portions (small box was plenty for my lunch). My favourite breakfast stop in Seven Dials.

Absolute rip off. £37 for a half carafe (500ml) Chardonnay. Food and venue very nice, but the prices are similar to The Grand or Englishes. Wont be going back.

Stumbled across this little gem my chicken salad sandwich on white was probably the best I’ve ever had. My colleague had BLT on white - full of freshness and flavour. Huge selection of freshly made either eat in or take away- very reasonably priced. When I’m in the area again I’ll definitely pop in

a good atmosphere, happy staff even willing to try with my nervous collie who was being a miserable sod Great burger shame they had run out of the lamb burger on the special board, very helpful when ordering the food to my requirements and do a good coffee, staff did have to be asked for water for the dogs all in all a good pub Everyone else in the party seemed to enjoy their meal

We stopped by the Coppa Club for brunch this weekend. A busy & popular spot in the Lanes. Lots of tables were taken but we got a table for 2. Very friendly staff. Standard menu, nothing out of the ordinary, or that you can’t get anywhere else. 2 black Americanos, a beer, a Bloody Mary, a full English breakfast & avocado on toast. Food came out quite quickly. My avocado on toast with 2 poached eggs was very mediocre - no fancy little twist or anything special. Some places serve this fish with a fancy garnish, or with feta or.... not at the Coppa Club. Ah well. It was nice enough but it was no better than the avocado toast I make at home. Best part of my brunch was the Bloody Mary which was perfect. Otherwise a very ordinary brunch.

I have posted about this café before but I still maintain that it is one of the best quality:value for money breakfast venues in Brighton and Hove (and, trust me, I've tried most of them 😀

Went in at 2pm having had no breakfast. You can eat in, there are about ten tables, or take away. An example of pricing. Bacon sandwich £3 take away, £3.50 eat in. Whilst that seems cheap, to me at least, the bread and bacon was both very good quality. Fat trimmed off the bacon rashers and I would say there were five rashers in the sandwich I had and the bacon very good quality. My companion had a tuna sandwich and salad, £4.95. Sandwich packed with tuna mayo and a light salad and crisps came with it. For Brighton, this is a cheap, but excellent quality cafe and I doubt there is better value anywhere else.

I have been having breakfast at Tutti Frutti for 5-6 years, the food has been consistently great quality. The breakfasts are wonderful and the bacon is to die for. If you are visiting Brighton, forget the city centre, walk up the hill (10 mins) to Seven Dials.

Went for lunch here and took 30 mins to bring out a burned (it was black) baguette that was not edible. When I asked the lady to change the bread she was snarky and said well you can’t have it toasted if you want it on a baguette. Then they charged us a made up price that was not what they advertised on their menu, was not happy.

There were 2 vegan option a fry up and a sausage sandwich. I asked for the fry up and the two ladies said they couldn’t do it as it’s only two of them (the place had two customers inside). I got the sandwich which was just sad. The vegan sausages were stale and the only spreads they had were hummus. I would never go there again. No effort for vegan food and no flavour. The ladies were very cautious with what’s vegan so I guess that was the good thing about that….could be way better. It’s a choice to have stale vegan food. If that’s the case don’t have it there at all:)

My brother (John) has often commented how good the food is at Tutti Fruiti & how lovely the Owner is (Rob). Went in earlier this week & I wanted to say I agree. Food was lovely & Rob simply couldn’t do too much for us both to make our experience enjoyable. I will definitely be back

Really nice cafe ..great food home made smells clean good selection Nice coffee as well. My only annoyance was that the portion of chilli was quiet small ..

I use this café at least once a week to treat myself to one of their excellent English breakfasts. I've even been known to get a takeaway bacon or sausage butty if I'm pressed for time on my way to work. Friendly service, top-quality ingredients and great value for money. I am tempted to make a change next time and sample the Eggs Benedict: highly recommended by a friend of mine.

Absolutely phenomenal breakfast eggs benedict cooked to perfection and the small full english also cooked to perfection, quality and value for money totally on point. Lovely staff and very clean. The cakes and deli produce looks amazing too!

Just moved to the dials and needed a great breakfast place. I HAVE FOUND IT. Great value, lovely staff and lots of options/customisations. My friend had the vegan breakfast (not pictured) and would highly recommend. Definitely going to come back.

Visited here recently, the lady here with dark hair (manager?) had literally no idea what was vegan and not was not (not that she didn't know what the menu items were - she didn't understand what vegan meant or what foods had animal products in them) This is really poor service and dangerous as I am allergic to eggs so I just ask for 'vegan' to be safe, but she tried to serve me coleslaw! I had to literally explain that mayonnaise contains eggs. Ridiculous- could have put me in hospital.

My partner and I eat out more than we should and this is by far the best breakfast we’ve had in Brighton and probably in East Sussex! Amazing value for money, the best sausages, amazing hash browns and great staff!

Been coming here almost every weekend with my Fiance. Food is always good and reasonably priced. Coffee is good, staff are nice and the atmosphere is cosy.

Our first visit on a Sunday afternoon. Choose a croque monsieur with poached eggs and bacon, avocado, poached eggs and toast. Absolutely delicious. Our poached eggs were cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend a visit.

I have frequented this cafe for years and years now but of late the pricing for things like takeaway soup has stung a little. I paid 4.95 for takeaway soup and bread which, while being tasty, is just a little unsustainable for me and leaves me feeling a little ripped off. It's sad but for this reason i have stopped frequenting. The food is always excellent however!

Mi compañero y yo desayunamos aquí esta mañana, me desperté sintiéndome un poco peor después de algunas bebidas los sábados por la noche y ansiaba una auténtica fritura. Pedimos en el mostrador y nos sentamos afuera, el aire fresco era una adición bienvenida.Nuestro Lattes apareció rápidamente seguido de nuestros desayunos. Mi compañero no puede comer huevos que moquea, un hecho que olvidamos mencionar cuando pedimos, así que nos disculpamos con la camarera y le preguntamos si el huevo podría cocinarse un poco más. Esto no fue un problema en absoluto y un par de minutos más tarde el chef trajo su plato, esta vez con el huevo bien hecho.La comida era increíble, sinceramente fue uno de los mejores desayunos ingleses completos que he tenido. Yo recomendaría esto a cualquiera.Mi única queja sería que podría haber hecho con 2 salchichas en el desayuno grande (que supongo que podría haber pedido cuando lo pedí) y creo que con un poco de zumo de naranja habría coronado esto para que sea un 11 / 10. Tenía un cartón de OJ, ¡así que no es el fin del mundo!Definitivamente volveré:)

We have lunch here weekly. They do amazing traditional caff food as well as deli options. A superb full breakfast and bacon and sausage sandwiches (see pics 😄)

A whole range of food: if you want choose from among a vast salad selection, have a big slab of veggie or meaty lasagne, or stick with the traditional English breakfast... It's all there. The prices are keen and the staff are friendly. This place is simply good, it does not have a inflated opinion of itself. What's not to like.

Best lasagne in town (home made not bought in). Great fry ups too. Friendly service and good value. This place is a gem and a regular stop for me. 50p charge for paying by card irritating though.

Have visited this place on numerous occasions and their fry up is really good. There is also an extensive lunch menu, bit have never made it past the fry up as it's too tasty!

Fue uno de esos días cuando yo estaba en una punta y en justo antes de trabajar necesitan un buen desayuno reconfortante (rápido). Yo realmente quería una tortilla. . No fue uno en el menú - sin embargo después de confirmar qué tipo de tortilla que yo quería. Uno estaba preparado para mí y se sirve con una ensalada fresca y maravillosa gran café!

I regularly come here for a cappuccino and take away salad... The deli choice is fantastic. It all looks delicious.(pastas/meats/cheeses/quiches) The array of different salad choices is great.so many healthy varieties. A good atmosphere with friendly, helpful staff. I highly recommend.

No es barato no es caro, pero una vez allí no te decepcionará - recomiendo encarecidamente ( mejor de facturas por seguro )

I was here with a friend yesterday for lunch and we had lasagne with a choice of two salads. All of it was really nice, nicely served and delicious. I would definitely go back when in the area.

I have breakfast here once a week, it is very good value and very high quality. Can sometimes get a bit busy, but that is because it's a bit small and very popular. Best brekky in Brighton for the money.

Have had breakfast here twice now. The house special, tarragon mushrooms, cherry tomatoes and chorizo on sourdough bread if memory serves. Didn't fancy a full english that day and this did the trick. Good coffee and like the limonata type soft drinks.Full english next time and had the large. Was starving and this was big enough to satisfy. Decent value too as it comes with a coffee at £6.95. Good quality too. Came promptly and they let us switch a couple of things too.Took out a homemade white chocolate and passion fruit cake which was really tasty.Going to have a try of their salad boxes for lunch soon as they are tempting...

We've had a lovely leisurely weekend breakfast here.The coffe is excellent!I've had eggs florentine which was very good and the portion was very generous. The hollandaise sauce wasn't great though, but I've had worse so not really an issue. The staff were very friendly and the general vibe welcoming.The price range is great and will suit different budgets.Will definitely comeback!

I have had a coffee often here and found it to be friendly, clean and the food looks lovely and the food in the display cabinet covered.I recently had a breakfast with my husband and the presentation and quality of the food was amazing, the staff were nice and friendly we could have been in a top restaurant in the west end of London.I hope they stay for many years as Tutti Frutti is just what the area needs!I will look forward to many more visits.

Visited on a Sunday lunchtime. Good service - there is a small wait for food, but this is as it is prepared to order. Quality, presentation, and quantity was spot on. Surroundings clean & tidy. Recommended for a filling lunchtime snack, at a reasonable price.

Ammmaazzzinnngg Breakfast and coffee heaven!!!!!Tutti frutti must have one of the best breakfast i had in a long time, good and quick service and extremly friendly staff. Going there to sit and have a coffee and read a book is the highlight of my day, with a bit of back ground music so relaxing. Definatly worth a try people seven dials brekki heaven.

I have visited Tutti Frutti on a number of occasions; the staff are brilliant and more than happy to help. There is a wide selection of everything you could ever want from a Deli, it has a real homely feel with top quality produce! On my last visit I decided to treat myself to a full English breakfast. Every part of the breakfast tasted great the meat was high quality with no gristle to be found in the sausage! I loved the fact that customers have a choice of portion sizes, they know that not everybody wants to leave feeling uncomfortably full. The only problem I found with the deli was whilst sitting eating my breakfast I experienced food envy on a number of occasions there were some great looking sandwiches! I will be returning and would recommend anyone to go and visit!

Very suprised by the first review and can only assume that this is a competitor somewhere. I have lived over the road from tutti frutti for over a year and been foing here for about two years. Deffinitely worth going for the breakfast alone. Very friendly staff and the sellection of foods available instead of the usual sandwich option is brilliant. With lasagnas and pastas and other delights to choose from i would recommend this to people and do for a freat alternative to your usual lunch

This shop is very lucky that there is no other sandwich shop close enough to give it a run for it's money!The service is terrible, the staff are miserable and very slow don't ever think you will get a smile or even recognition that your standing there waiting. You can wait over 25 mins for a sandwich and a coffee now that's not going to help many people who only have a 30 min lunch break is it????The range of sanwich ingrediants are scarce, they do have lots of hams but if your not a ham eater well tuff! I had cheese in my sanwich today that I asked to have cut thinly but nooooo it was cut into small pieces, chunks and I got one piece of tomato and once again sliced like it was for a dinosaur! All neatly wrapped in foil, yes foil!I have had numerous pasta dishes and they have all been edible and taste nice but the prices are ridiculous!!!! Never consistent you may pay £6 one day and get the same dish the next and it's £7.10, depending on who's serving I guess! The tables are always messy and don't look clean, it's fair to say it looks very run down.My advice - go to Co-Op down the road for a sandwich!
