A great show! The host Sam was fab too. The food and service was disappointing, whilst friendly enough we had to chase our food. Also disappointing that the last hour of the show was just karaoke. Not great value for money

I would give it 0 stars if possible, food was inedible and cost £130 pp! The staff were not nice and didn’t even know what the food was they were serving us and also tried to charge us £60 service charge for a £12 bill! They didn’t know what was going on. Dont waste your time and money

SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME.... Where to begin... we went for a birthday bottomless brunch, to be served a cuarter chicken on cabbage for breakfast, no menu, no options, and then had to wait an hour until the bottomless cocktails began. We were given NO OPTION OF COCKTAIL but told instead what the cocktail of the day was and we were poured this buffet style in a jug. Had to keep asking for the non alcoholic version for the non drinker in our group, making them feel forgotten about constantly. The show it self was mediocre- lip sync and a bit of dancing, hardly what i would call a show and then to top it off, the last hour or more was KARAOKE with members of the audience, i mean, paying to entertain yourself is hardly a show. It was hugely dissapoiting and the best bit was the service charge that included the fee of the tickets we had already paid, just as an idea service charge alone including and added fee of mandatory £2 per head fee was over £40... there were four of us and we spent over £100 each including tickets for this event. Quite frankly it was an absolute shambles of a misleading, underwhelming, made to seem top tier event that merely scrapes the surface. We attended Brighton Proud, and im sure there are many others in Brighton that could give you alot more for what they are charging you. Please read the reviews as we all wish we had beforehand, we didn't as this was a well known chain to us and have many great events in the London Proud venue, but it seems their quality has definitely lowered. Complete scam, sent them 2 emails and no response at all, so leaving this review instead.

Amazing service, really good acts. Food was terrible and only saw 2 burlesque acts (from the same person) . Would have liked to have to seen more burlesque for the money. But overall for the price is was a fun night out.

If you go for the bottomless you will likely be getting 3 glasses of watered down myster cocktail. The show was fun for sure but the food was the absolute worst. Had to send back my chicken because it was fully raw. Dessert was nice.

I have mixed feelings about this place, the entertainment was very very good! Dolly rocket is a fab host and could not fault her at all, the fantastic girls that do the dances are also amazing and thoroughly enjoyed watching them. Staff are also good, there was a very lovely man working a trial shift who told us halfway through that he had been offered the job, he is absolutely fantastic, never caught his name, but a massive shout out to him!!! There are a couple of disadvantages to this though, the one thing we found is that it was a very long show (7-10:30) but over half of this was taken up by breaks. Obviously I understand that people have to get changed in order to do other acts etc, but it did seem like we only paid for about an hours worth of entertainment. The other thing is the price of everything. I went for a birthday party with a group of female family members, we all paid for the cheapest option which is £30, which was just a show. obviously we all did expect to buy drinks in there which we new wouldn’t be cheap, but at the end we were presented with a massive bill, drinks were overly extortionate and we were also given a massive service charge (I personally have no issue with paying the service charge, but it did seem quite extreme considering I’ve never paid any more than about £10 pp on a service charge) and they also added an extra £2 per person to the bill that they would not explain to us What that was and they just said it was a general charge that they do for everyone. I think all in all the entire thing cost me nearly £90 when I paid 30 for the show, had two drinks and then had to pay the service charge, Plus this extra few pounds that came out of nowhere. The only other thing was that my group, which was nine people were placed at the very back of the venue hidden in a corner, we were given a booth, which could only sit 6people, one more managed to squeeze on, but myself and my sister-in-law said that we didn’t have a seat and we were just given wooden chairs that we had to somehow fit around this booth, bearing in mind, there was another booth literally inches away, so there was hardly any space at all to move. The only place we could put them was not facing the stage , and we had to turn around all the time, I also had to place my chair underneath one of the speakers, which I bashed my head on twice. All in all, it was a very fun show, but I do think they need to rethink the layout of where they put people, especially large groups. There were definitely smaller groups in bigger areas that probably could’ve been place where we were and they would’ve been able to see and been comfortable because there was less of them. I know that places like that aren’t going to revise their prices for drinks or food, but I do think they need to rethink all of the small extra charges that they don’t tell you about when you book and you’re surprised with at the end. This also didn’t apply to us, but I do think it is a bit ridiculous that after you book, when they send you the confirmation, they tell you that a for any reason you can’t come to the event, you are charged a fee of £60 on top of what you’ve already paid as a no-show fee . I completely understand that a no-show means that they do lose money but then charge someone an extra £60 on whatever they pay just seems extortionate to me. I was very ill the week before the show and I was genuinely worried that I won’t be able to make the show and I’d have to pay them an extra £60 on top of the £30 I’d already paid.

Absolute joke of a night out. Seriously if you’re thinking of going, save yourself the disappointment. The acts are like a cheap circus. The main man/woman hosting looks like a drag act gone wrong and tries to be funny without success. The drinks are standard pub drinks double the price. The food is so poor when it came out my friend said ‘what is this? A piece of cheap cod with a bit of dolmio sauce?’ … Which it actually was. The charges are through the roof for everything, service (poor service), the drinks (double price), the tickets you already paid for (extra charge at the end), I’m surprised they didn’t try to charge to go outside for a smoke!… Talking of which, when we did go outside for a smoke, the security guard couldn’t even open the door due to a broken bolt on the door, crazy really seeing as that is the only fire escape from the cramped building. I pointed that out to the manager, but received an email from the director telling me he’d report me to the local council, local police, and local authorities for threatening behaviour… What does he think the police, council and authorities will do? What a numpty. In addition to this, if you book a table for 6 like I did, bear in mind you can only fit 4 people on the table comfortably, 5 people and you can’t move, 6 and you have to grab an extra chair to make it work. Honestly guys, way better nights out to be had in Brighton, the 6 of us are all Brighton born and bred, we all agreed this place is a joke. Lastly, for the waitress who tried to bribe us with some vodka mixed with orange juice in exchange for a 5 star review…. Good luck with that! Absolutely mediocre night out.

My husband booked this for my birthday, so we came down to Brighton and spent the weekend ,i loved the London one ,after reading the mixed reviews I was a bit sceptical , but I had no need to be ,firstly we arrived and they couldn't find our booking ,husbands panicking as paid 200 for tickets, he had only booked the wrong venue we should have been in London but they did everything possible and found us a table and honored our tickets and never made us feel bad about it ,so big up for that ,we had the most amazing waitress (being in pub management, I know that it makes a massive difference) her name was SORCHA ,(I think )it was her last nite but she was fab ,even though she was busy she never once made us feel ignored, I totally blame her for my hangover lol , the cocktails were fab, the food was good ,the acts were amazing ,and the host DOLLY was hilarious, all in all a fab night made by the staff 100% ,so IGNORE the negative reviews and go xxxx

Nice place and really a good experience. Amazing performances and artists and felt like a whole new level of entertainment. It was really nice to be hosted and the food and drinks were quite cheap too . Over all a must visit place for birthdays and anniversaries.

I’d been wanting to go to Proud Cabaret for a while after hearing great things about it and it didn’t disappoint. I go to a lot of cabarets and Proud Cabaret was definitely one of the best. The venue is gorgeous, the staff were all so friendly and accommodating, great cocktail menu to choose from, but most importantly; all the acts were so polished! A really fun night and I’ll be back for sure

Food is basically inedible - not helped by no salt and pepper in the table 😂 Show was ok - same striptease lady three times could not be saved from feeling repetitive by costumes changes. More skill based artists were definitely better eg flames, pole and laser lights.

We had a fantastic time celebrating my husband's birthday, enjoying the bottomless drag brunch..The staff were super! Our waitress was the lovely Scarlett, although the team were all very attentive with the table service, keeping an eye and ensuring that all the customers were well looked after. The brunch was a tasty chicken dish with a homemade tiramisu dessert. The bottomless cocktail was sex on the beach and you could tell was mixed with good quality ingredients. This is an hour of bottomless cocktail and your glass is kept topped up! Before and after the bottomless hour we imbibed many Long Island Iced Teas, a cocktail not on the menu but they happily accommodated this for us. And wow! these were the best Long Island Iced Teas we had ever had! Superb! The drag hostess and artists were warm, friendly, great fun and interacted well with the audience. I had read some negative reviews before we went and clearly some folk hadn't checked the terms and conditions beforehand. Yes, service charge and cover is added and yes, you will have to pay for drinks that are outside of the bottomless deal! But, the prices are fair, overall it is great value for the money and you get superb service, Thank you to the whole team at Proud Cabaret Brighton, you're doing a great job and we had an amazing time! xx

We really enjoyed our time at the cabare. Show, service, food and environment was just perfect. I loved the tiramisu and adored their espresso martini. Specially thanks go to our waitres and to Silvia. We will be back again!

Was really looking forward to an evening out with some friends. We'd booked the dinner with show option, which isn't cheap at £60 a head. Proud Cabaret cancelled on us the night before with little explanation, and we're now in February and still waiting for a refund! We've had to go down the route of disputing the charge with our banks instead, which will take another 3 months. Absolutely fuming.

I would like to say that I had an amazing time. Program was great, food was really good and service was top notch. All the experience was great from the gate till the end of the show. I would like to specially thank to Silvia, to be such a professional host.

Oh dear. Book at your own peril. My sister and I booked VIP seats at drag brunch and came from London to enjoy what we thought would be a brilliant afternoon, only to find the venue locked up and no sequins in sight. Turns out there was no show that day but Proud had booked us anyway and taken my sister's money. No warning. no apology. On calling customer service and accounts my sister was offered an alternative date but having wasted not only return train fare, the expensive ticket money and our time, we were understandably not up for risking more disappointment and so asked for a refund, as we are entitled to do. No word from customer service, no word from accounts and certainly no sign of a refund. Don't waste your time or your money.

I am still waiting for my refund of £100. I have made around 30 attempts to contact them. I made this booking in November 2023!! Do not go here unless you want to be robbed. Has happened to so many people and is clear they are operating a scam.

I probably would have enjoyed it if i could have actually gone. Show moved venues a couple of hours prior and still waiting for a refund. It has been over a month.

We loved the performances, they were amazing. However the food was not great, chicken was very dry and the tiramisu wasn't great. It was also very expensive. The cloakroom isn't secure, my friends bag was taken, but the doorman felt bad and brought my friend replacement alcohol (thankyou), however all her hen do bits were irreplaceable. At one point my pregnant friend was given alcohol after she ordered a non-alcoholic drink.

Scam! They advertise, sell tickets and on the day of show cancels the event. To add they never refunded. Ample calls and email with no response. We lost over 500pounds. Please do not fall for their false advertisement. Many people have been conned.

Unfortunately I didn't get to experience the show as it was cancelled 2 days prior. My friends and I had already booked train tickets and non-refundable hotel rooms. Proud Cabaret have failed to refund our £235. Countless emails and phone calls and still no acknowledgement from the refunds team. In addition to this I experienced website issues. I booked onto secret society only to discover there was an error on the website. I then had to switch to another show which ended up being cancelled. Very let down by proud cabaret. Looking back at previous reviews slow refunds and poor customer service is an ongoing issue with this company with people waiting months for refunds.

They took our money, canceled the show with 2 hours notice and have failed to respond to any emails requesting a refund. We booked a hotel to stay in Brighton specifically for the show, extremely disappointing. What this company is doing is plain theft!

15% MANDATORY SERVICE CHARGE I recently attended an evening show with a group of friends and was left disappointed with an unforeseen, mandatory 15% service charge on both the drinks and prepaid tickets. I will say that the acts were good and the waitress we had was very lovely. So had we known about this extra charge it would have been a much higher rating from me. I would suggest that the ticket price be increased rather than this extra charge being added and only made apparent to us when we received the bill post show.

Con artists. Show cancelled, waited over 6 weeks for a refund so far and nothing.

The show is great, but the staff have to beg to be paid. Service charge does not come anywhere near the staff who put a lot of effort into looking after customers. Would not recommend unless you’re happy to support a company that doesn’t care about the employees.

Proud Cabaret cancelled a Drag Brunch performance in November 2023 and promised me that I would get a refund for my tickets after 4 to 6 weeks. It is well over 6 weeks now and I have recieved no refund and no-one has replied to any of my emails to explain what has happened or sort out the issue. Incredibly disappointing on all fronts.

Disappointed. Was expecting a much more varied cabaret with drag artists or burlesque performers - without the host Dolly, it would have been very boring & repeatative. The staff were all lovely but the show needs more variety. The food was okay

Great fun and a good laugh. Acts were very good. Go there to enjoy the atmosphere and experience, but not the food. Drinks are a very reasonable price. Definitely would go again.

The service charge and overall price for the experience is absolutely outrageous for what you get. You get 1 drag queen and the other acts are just bad I’m sorry… very amateurish and tacky. The breaks were waaaay too long, BUT for me though the worse (and had it been up to me I would have left at the first break because of it) was the volume. No words. The volume was absolutely ridiculous we all at the table had to put paper from our napkins in our ears and cover them with our hands for most of the time. People seemed uncomfortable and unimpressed and so were we. Huge disappointment. I don’t understand the good reviews

We have been before and it was as good as we remembered. I have read previous reviews which mention the service charge which is clearly explained in emails booking process, I would say that if you're tight and don't want to pay it then don't go, likewise if you go expecting a burlesque show, that is not what it is, it is Brighton, expect the unexpected, it is all good humoured raunchy fun and we loved every minute of it. The performers are amazing and very engaging, the stripping Santa engaged with my husband up close and personal which was the highlight of our night and a photo with Dolly Rocket was the highlight of his and will never be forgotten.
