The best restaurants serving British food in Eastrop Basingstoke and Deane South East

As always a warm and friendly welcome, this evening was a roast ham, with a tasty cheese potato and onion pie. Bravo Chef Graham, bravo

The staff are lovely, the coffee is great, and the downstairs seating area is so peaceful even with people down there. The WiFi is very hit and miss, although it is free, expect to struggle to connect to it downstairs.

Called in for breakfast . I have visited before and found it quite nice although some of the staff can be a little curt. This time i was met with a miserable man with glasses , bellowing out orders. He handed me my order and proceeded with a very backward stereotype, a racial "joke". I don't expect to be racially abused when i am spending my hard earned money in your cafe. After his bigoted quip, he scurried off very quickly. I am glad he did as it was likely he d have had his glasses smacked off his head. Cheeky boy trying to belittle people when he's serving coffees for a living. I wont be back near the establishment as I don't support bigots.

Staff were lovely, food was mediocre! It's really over priced, we ended up having a saver deal for £18, which was two burgers and fries... Otherwise it would have been close to £40…! Not really that enjoyable and definitely wouldn't be returning!

It was not good food at all it was cold food never going back there so no apologies for the food to be cold and service was rubbish

Nice place to have a beer with a varied but small selection.. The atmosphere is standard English pub with little nooks and crannies to hide in. Animals are welcome and often you see them loose and sniffing around the legs. The food varies, which gives a lower rating, as you don't get a constant dining experience. Works depends on the mood of the chef so sometimes it's good and sometimes less so.. But try it yourself I think.

Lovely pub fast service and good pints

I don't mind the self service, but the options were so limited. I'm gluten free and I basically couldn't get anything that wasn't available in the food court, and it was a significant mark up in price. Spent £20 for 2 sandwiches and a coffee! The high chairs were dirty, even though they'd been stacked. Not up to usual M&S standard.
