The best restaurants serving British food in South East

Wow the staff are very friendly, I ordered my grandchildren and ice cream the girl was so good with them, she brought our drinks to the table for us she went above and beyond, highly recommended.

A really very high quality experience. The owners have ensured that everything needed is available, and that there is plenty of space for different groups to use different rooms. All rooms are ensuite, and extra loos on ground and first floor. After the restoration, the place has been wonderfully furnished. Breakfasts were provided and were lovely.

As I was wandering along one of the main streets in Cowes, I happened to notice the blackboard outside declaring that they had crab sandwiches on their menu. This prompted me to go inside and find a table. The staff member could not have been any friendlier. Not only to me, but she treated everyone the same. I ordered a coffee and a crab sandwich. The coffee arrived quicker than the food, but as soon as I took my first mouthful of this heavenly sandwich I was hooked. The bread was so soft and fresh it was as if they had baked it just a few moments beforehand. I have no idea who their bread suppliers are, but I wish I could find bread like that in other areas of my travels. The cost of the meal was not cheap, but the service and quality of the meal more than made up for it.

AMAZING in every way. Service incredible, food amazing and great quality. Milkshakes the best. This place is always consistent and never disappoints the portion sizes are big ..just right... the service is quick and very friendly and every visit there is a pleasure. Tasty tasty tasty!

Absolutely divine. Top quality ingredients, put together perfectly. I had a Goats cheese, salad and Irish black butter, sourdough sandwich. Very good service too. You can also purchase the ingredients in house to make at home, which I did so!

Excellent service, they couldn’t do enough for us today. Food and drink was reasonably priced, wholesome and delicious. We would throughly recommend them.

Hidden little gem. Walk through the antique shop to a bright small but beautiful tea room. Staff were incredibly friendly. Tea was superb and cake, well let’s just say it was hard to stop at one slice! Antique delicate china always seems to make tea taste better! Little games on the tables make it perfect for a get together with friends and even for children. Lovely views overlooking an orchard which was stunning. Will definitely be returning!

Although it is along some country roads once there the welcome is warm and friendly and the food is always really wonderful. We travel from Southampton to get there and it has been well worth every mile on each of the half dozen occasions we have been there so far...and counting!!

Favourite eatery in W Sussex. Food was absolutely great as usual. Fine food in a relaxed atmosphere. I'm so glad they change the menu so often as we can regularly experience different meals. The extra little morsels certainly whet your appetite in anticipation... yummy!! Well be back soon.
