Absolutely divine. Top quality ingredients, put together perfectly. I had a Goats cheese, salad and Irish black butter, sourdough sandwich. Very good service too. You can also purchase the ingredients in house to make at home, which I did so!

Great service! I always come here when in the Bedford place area of Southampton. Lovely food options, good value and also gifts on sale. Highly recommended.

Popped in on a Friday lunchtime as the menu look inviting - a bit different and reasonable prices. Excellent pie and mash and fish finger sandwich, both freshly made. Lovely place to eat, highly recommended.

We visited this wonderful place today with family. We really liked the cafe, the pleasant atmosphere, it differs from other coffee shops in its original home style. Pleasant communicative owner.

I love this place: best bread in the city, scrumptious homemade cakes & pies, and all the local produce make it unique. The staff is very friendly, and Cecilia is very much into local history & heritage. Plus, they run interesting events & workshops too.

We've stumbled upon a hidden gem in our neighbourhood! Having an owner who is actively involved in the day-to-day operations can really make a difference in the quality and atmosphere of a place. Cecilia's personal touch with the pies, homemade cakes, and breads adds that extra special something to the experience. It's wonderful to hear that the shop is not just a place to grab a bite, but also a community hub where you can connect with others and perhaps even make new friends. Enjoy your visits to the coffee shop cum deli!

We booked, paid in full in advance to the 24 Jan pop up in the Blue Jasmine restaurant in Southampton Ocean Village; what a disaster and disappointment it was. Ending our dry January early to celebrate our engagement we paid £170 for a taxi as well as paying for the multi course dinner. No welcome drink and no food not even some bread (despite asking for some) for an hour. After this a table of six left to eat in the Jasmine; we wish we’d joined them as after another our we had only had one starter. After three and a half hours we left in frustration at the lack of food, or any apology. To summarise, Don’t Go AO!

We always have a fantastic meal at Blue Island. This was my second visit this year, one with friends and this time with three generations of the family. The team are always extremely friendly and welcoming, and even on this very busy Saturday night no table was ignored. Simon cooks all of the food, and he occasionally likes to ring the changes on the core selection in the meze. Most of us are meateaters, but we often go with a vegetarian and other restricted dietary needs. There is always something for everyone. Today, the standout courses were a king prawn in tomato sauce, and a lovely vegetable dish with (I think) cheese, courgette, aubergine and tomatoes as a base. But naturally we also loved all the usual courses of pork, chicken, halloumi, meatballs, lamb, mushrooms ... Another triumph, thank you all!
