Amazing place, relaxed, great wine cheese and charcuterie!! 🤩✨

We've loved Porters since it first opened and have been multiple times. Great range of cheeses and meats and the boards are so rich with a great selection of extras. It's also very good price for how much food you receive. The wine list is big and easy to find something to match your board. The cocktail choice is also big and their espresso martinis are easily the best I've had anywhere. The mint chocolate is my recommendation! It's a great place for any occasion and we've always encountered very friendly and attentive staff. If you haven't been yet... Why not? It's absolutely worth it.

My husband and I came here for bottomless brunch and we had the most fantastic time ever. Our host, Melissa was absolutely fantastic. She kept the food and drink flowing and chatted to us whilst we were 3 bottles in. We came here at 12pm before boarding our cruise and we will do it again as the experience was fab and the cruise terminal being just round the corner. The cheese and meat board was beautiful. Like I say, we can't wait to come back. £30pp and worth every penny. Thank you for having us. See you again soon.

We worked with porters to create a truly wonderful wedding reception. From the very first enquiry the team at porters took onboard our aspirations for the evening and transformed those into the most special night of our lives. The team took the time to decorate and rearrange the furniture to our exact needs. They translated our style into a wonderfully bespoke cocktail menu and charcuterie boards that really did delight our guests. Not only did the team at porters provide the best evening through incredible drinks and food but the quality of said food was unmatched. From the beautifully decorated cake; the boards of charcuterie with individually flagged names to the stunning dessert table. We honestly could not of enjoyed it all any more. If you are looking for a venue and team that can turn a truly special event into something that you will cherish forever then look no further. The team at porters have our heartfelt thanks for a stunning wedding reception that we would not change for anything.

I had a wonderful experience at Porters. Melissa, Brit and Marz were wonderful, knowledgeable, and social. As I was traveling alone, it’s always nice to strike up conversations with people when I’m visiting, and all three ladies were sweet and willing to chat. The fried halloumi, hummus, and camembert were fabulous. And the wine was incredible as well! I definitely recommend visiting Porters when you come to Southampton. ☺️

This was our first visit here. We were met by Melissa who made us feel very welcome and explained the menu's to us. After being served water and our choice of drinks Melissa returned to take our food order, she was great in explaining what was in each dish and guided us through the right choices for the right amount of food. Never under or over selling but putting the customers first, thanks Melissa. Marzena was in the Kitchen, although we didn't meet her she needs a shout out, the presentation was excellent, thanks. A lovely evening in a very warm and relaxed environment.

The bottomless graze is amazing here! The graze board is massive and you actually get to choose selection of meats and cheeses. It was also beautifully presented. The staff were really attentive filling up our glasses and you get the choice of Prosecco, white wine or red wine and can mix during the seating. Would highly recommend.

We did the bottomless graze on a Friday which is a two hour experience with lots of wine (Pinot Grigio or Riojk on our visit) and a sharing platter with four meats, four cheeses and accompanying goodies.

I went with my friend and had an amazing time! The food was amazing. We ended up getting a Camembert for starters which was delicious and a duo board for mains. The presentation was excellent and the atmosphere was really calm and nice. The staff were lovely. Britney, Holly and Marzena were really friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Thank you for a great time.

Absolute gem in the centre of Southampton! Fantastic atmosphere, really friendly staff (we were served by Mel & Brit) and absolutely wonderful, locally sourced meats and cheeses. We licked our sharing board clean! Wine list was also great and went down a treat.

Brilliant first visit to this lovely restaurant. We were served by Marzena, who was very friendly and explained everything to us very well. The food we had was beautifully presented and more than enough for the 4 of us. Marzena was very attentive throughout the meal, and we were all very impressed. The slice of birthday cake for my husband was such a nice touch and really made our night out more special. There was a great selection of drinks too. Will definitely come back again.

Just great! Nice setting…we went lunch time very quiet however the food was fab, I would recommend they put labels on the meats and cheese on the charcuterie board so you know what’s what!

For a cheese board in a cheese and wine house it was very poorly plated and styled. Random fruits and vegetables that did not go with the cheese and meets and just added space to the platter with no purpose. The cheese cuts were also all the same; cutting cheese in different styles to make them feel different helps with the styling. There’s only so much you can do with cheese and wine and that’s plating and presentation. With that wrong you might as well just get it from Sainsbury’s and at least it’s cheaper. Did not use to be like this, sadned that it changed.

Absolutely amazing! I’m coeliac, and was delighted to find that nearly everything could be adapted. Our waitress, Melissa, was excellent and had great knowledge of coeliac requirements. My boyfriend isn’t gluten free, and while we shared a Duo board, he was given a board of regular bread and I had my own separate gluten free board. 10/10, will be retuning very soon!

This was our first visit to Porters, but will not be our last. The selection of cheese and meats were extensive and the staff helped up choose. The prosecco and wine kept coming during our lunch without the need to ask. And the staff were very attentive with special mention to Melissa and Britney. We were greeted in a very friendly manner on this our second visit. The service from Mel and Brit was excellent. Our duo board was of a high standard. We selected a fine wine from the impressive wine list and together with the tasty charcuterie this made for a very good evening. The ambience is perfect, nothing was rushed and the staff are a credit to the place with their smiles and professional, but relaxed, approach to the job.
