We called here yesterday for the afternoon tea it was amazing! Good selection of sweet and savoury the cheesecake was one of the nicest I have had and the scones were perfect.Lovely surroundings and excellent service throughout.

Cosy little cafe with lovely friendly customer service. Best breakfast me and Dad have had since moving to Wigan. Defo will be going back for the lunch menu as its highly recommended. PS. Thanks Gemma for the home made slice of Kinda Bueno cheesecake - tasted absolutely amazing. Can't wait to try the Biscoff equivalent 🥰😋

A party of 17 attended who had various meals. Found service slightly a bit slow but put it down to numbers of clientel. I did not have a starter as nothing was on the menu that I liked the look of. Main was flat iron steak. Was a bit tough. Noticed there was only one toilet for everybody. Not what you can call hygienic.

As a coeliac I was having trouble getting gluten free food. Thank you for providing such good safe food, tasty and plenty if it. Very good value

We had a walk to here on a sunny midweek afternoon my grandson and myself It was nice to sit outside and have cold drinks We also had something to eat,we had chicken burger and roast beef roll with chips food was basic but nice although there was not a lot of choice on the menu It seems OK for a dinner time snack but not for a family meal Would I go back again? Cafe been here for years so must be doing something right. Called in for a coffee and toasted teacake which was fine. Close to bus station.

A great local spot - it's not fine dining, but the food is good, the prices are good and the service is lovely. The chips are also homemade and fantastic.

Booked a table for the breakfast sharing board for two people for this morning. Have to say it was amazing and fantastic value, however today the service let us down. We weren't asked if we wanted drinks, so I asked and was told tea/coffee wasn't included, which was fair enough, so we ordered 2 coffees, the food came and after checking online I saw it included orange juice, so had to ask for that. Great choice of food and such a lovely pub. Have been many times for afternoon tea and always received a nice welcome. I have knocked a star off today for service. We finished our food but the staff serving were sat eating breakfast, so we waited a while and no one came, so had to disturb the staff to ask them if they could box the food we hadn't managed to eat up, not a problem. Staff are lovely, however we shouldn't have to feel we are disturbing them when we need to leave.

This was good pub grub. Steak, perfectly cooked, very tasty. Loved my dessert too, apple & cherry Bakewell crumble! We waited a while, but I'm not rushing when I go out & the food was hot when it arrived. The staff were good. No complaints from me.
