We called here yesterday for the afternoon tea it was amazing! Good selection of sweet and savoury the cheesecake was one of the nicest I have had and the scones were perfect.Lovely surroundings and excellent service throughout.

A party of 17 attended who had various meals. Found service slightly a bit slow but put it down to numbers of clientel. I did not have a starter as nothing was on the menu that I liked the look of. Main was flat iron steak. Was a bit tough. Noticed there was only one toilet for everybody. Not what you can call hygienic.

Delicious food! Really glad we called in today.

Extremely good food and very reasonably priced dishes. We ordered 6 dishes for £40. All absolutely amazing. 100% recommended and definitely coming back

As a coeliac I was having trouble getting gluten free food. Thank you for providing such good safe food, tasty and plenty if it. Very good value

We had a walk to here on a sunny midweek afternoon my grandson and myself It was nice to sit outside and have cold drinks We also had something to eat,we had chicken burger and roast beef roll with chips food was basic but nice although there was not a lot of choice on the menu It seems OK for a dinner time snack but not for a family meal Would I go back again? Se dejó caer para encontrar una bienvenida muy cálida. Muy buen ambiente limpio. Zona de estar pequeña pero con buen gusto situado. La comida era muy sabrosa y barata. Posicionado dentro

So Disappointed. Had heard so much about the pub I actually got the train over to check it out. Excellent range of cask beers but I didn’t get to try any because the barman kept overlooking me. Getting to the bar was difficult because of drinkers drinking at the bar - no problem with that but at least help someone out. Tried to attract the barman’s attention (it was too busy for one barman) but the final straws where when a bloke sat at the bar was served and he hadn’t finished his beer and another bloke shouting ‘2 pints of Fosters’. I’d been waiting ages by now and decided to find a pub which was friendlier and had more professional bar staff. Sorry , was really looking forward to trying the excellent range of beers.

He estado visitando este pub durante años. Lo intenté bajo la nueva propiedad y hay un problema importante. Por alguna razón, la señora detrás de la barra gritando a todos diciéndoles que no están prendiendo fuego de verdad porque se calienta demasiado. Bueno, lo siento pero tus sentimientos son los menos importantes. Piensa en tus clientes. Los clientes se miraban destripados porque no hay nada mejor en este mundo que un verdadero incendio en un pub. Es una raza moribunda. Wigan es un lugar frío. Cuando caminaba en ese pub, lo primero que hacía era calentarme con el fuego. Un incendio real es una licencia para imprimir dinero, yo estaría allí todo el tiempo. En cambio, hacía mucho frío allí. Las luces eran demasiado brillantes. El joven sirviendo era muy agradable y servicial. Sirvió un Guinness brillante, pero no aprecia lo que el fuego puede hacer por el pub. Ya sea que seas dueño del pub o simplemente lo estés manejando. Sólo son custodios. Es la gente local la que hace del ambiente y del pub lo que es. Lo que puedes hacer es ayudar a que al encender el fuego, no tenga que estar rugiendo, solo corriendo. Fácil de arreglar con un cambio de actitud y espero que empieces a ponértelo. Tendrás seguidores leales. Volveré enseguida pero hasta entonces, el pub sobre la carretera todavía tiene su fuego.

Vinimos a tomar un brunch sin fondo el sábado y vaya! Nuestros vasos nunca estaban vacíos y la comida era increíble. Había tanta comida que no pudimos terminarla. Un tablero para compartir para comenzar, seguido de una pizza margarita con 3 rebanadas de pastel cada una para terminar. Katie nos cuidó y no podría haber sido más servicial. Nos quedamos durante nuestros 90 minutos a partir de las 4 pm y luego nos quedamos unas horas más para escuchar a los grandes cantantes que tenían. El ambiente en el lugar era de primera categoría y sin duda volveremos. 10 / 10

Cafe been here for years so must be doing something right. Called in for a coffee and toasted teacake which was fine. Close to bus station.

Nunca hemos estado aquí antes, pero sin duda volveremos. La comida es casera y deliciosa. Elegimos pastel de carne, patatas fritas, guisantes y salsa. La comida estaba caliente y había un montón de ella. El lugar en sí está bien cuidado y el personal es muy amable.

Had lunch today for first time. Can't wait to go back. Had one of the sharing dishes with a friend. Great price & the food was lovely, best I've had for a long time. We'll worth the money, and nice atmosphere 10/10

Fantastic food full breakfast was great cooked to order .poached eggs were perfect and the coffee was great .The staff were really welcoming definitely go back Sunday roast looks fab
