This was good pub grub. Steak, perfectly cooked, very tasty. Loved my dessert too, apple & cherry Bakewell crumble! We waited a while, but I'm not rushing when I go out & the food was hot when it arrived. The staff were good. No complaints from me.

Food was fantastic and felt home made unlike a lot of pub style food these days. Staff were efficient, helpful and friendly. Not the cheapest pub we’ve eaten in but the quality made up for it. Proper veg with the main that didn’t taste like it had been reheated/microwaved. Great choice on the menu, especially desserts. Would definitely return.

I stayed here in the motorhome through Britstops and found everyone extremely friendly and helpful with no pressure to frequent the pub for food and drinks. However, when I booked to stay they booked a table for me in case I wanted a meal, which was greatly appreciated as it was extremely busy. The food, service and hospitality was excellent and I would unreservedly recommend it to anyone. We will be returning next week as visiting family and looking forward to staying again. Thank you. Brian.

From looking at the menu you wouldn't think there were many options suitable for a gluten free vegetarian like me, but when I phoned to book I was told I could request whatever I wanted (within reason, and in advance) and they would accommodate me. I asked for a beyond burger with coleslaw and chips, with a gf choc fudge cake for pudding, and it was no problem. It was also delicious and cooked to perfection. I think it's important to praise the restaurants that take allergens/intolerances seriously, and I can say I felt totally safe at The White Crow. The staff were knowledgeable and didn't make me feel like I was being awkward, like some other places. Even though we were there on Christmas eve and the staff were rushed off their feet, I felt completely looked after. I would recommend 100% to anyone, whether they have dietary requirements or not.

We were a party of 6 adults my brother in law recommended this pub restaurant, the White Crow, at Worthington after me asking him if he knew any good country pubs with traditional home cooked British food. We were not disappointed. I had crispy duck spring rolls with hoi sin sauce well presented with salad garnish. For mains I had the traditional plate pie, with minced beef filling, I can say that it took me back to the time when my mum made a similar pie which was delicious, piping hot , served with crispy home made chips, with the visit alone. Others in our party tried the mixed grill, beware its a large portion size , The Cumberland sausage and mash, which was very tasty when served with the peppercorn sauce. The fully landed burger did not disappoint. The braised steak, onion, and mushrooms was another explample of a good old-fashioned favourite and was very tasty. Finally, a large gammon steak with all the trimmings. All 6 of us cleaned our plates, and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience, very friendly waiting staff . We will return to the White Crow.

I decided to have a sirloin steak as it was good value for money and the menu said sourced were from a named local standish butchers. It was pale, tastless and not enjoyable at all. So if it was from the said butchers I'd be very surprised as I shop there regularly and their meat is excellent quality. Won't be visiting the white crow again. Couldn't fault the service from the staff though.

Went for a birthday tea with my husband as not been for a while. Well organised with a temperature machine upon arrival. Had a nice table well spaced from others and felt safe. The waitress was lovely and very friendly and looked after us well. I was just a bit disappointed with what we got for the price. I had chicken in a peppercorn sauce which looked good but tasted pretty bland with lots of new potatoes but they had no flavour. We only had the one course each and 1 drink each but it cost is £40! When I looked at the bill I could see I had been charged £7.99 for a little bottle of Prosecco which I think is outrageous. The profit margin on that must be an awful lot. If I had known it was so expensive I would not have ordered it. In many places you can get a glass of Prosecco for £5 which is more acceptable. I won't be dining out as much if this is what it costs.

It was very difficult to decide to go out for a meal once restaurants were allowed to open. Difficult in the way of feeling safe and protected against these terrible times we, the whole world are going through. When the White Crow was allowed to open, along with other restaurants, we decided to 'take the bull by the horns' to ring The White Crow and book a table for weekend lunch, which we missed doing because of lockdown. We have been several times since. On arriving at The White Crow, they have a one way in entrance to the front of the pub and a one way out exit to the back of the pub, which was a plus to start with. Before you actually enter the restaurant/pub there is hand gel machine on the wall which the gel automatically comes out without touching the machine, which is another plus. There are several stations for to sanitise your hands inside the restaurant/pub, again another plus.Since the latest mandatory masks in public places etc The White Crow have put a sign before entering ' No Mask - No Entry' which is a great plus for everybody to feel safe. If you do not have a mask with you, you can purchase one from The White Crow, because you cannot be seated without a mask unless you have a viable reason not to. Then once you are seated you can then take your mask off, but if you go to the toilet facilities you have to put your mask back on.The Team at The White Crow wear face coverings for to make you feel comfortable.Once a table has been vacated the table and the chairs are sanitised, ready for the next people to sit down and make them feel safe and comfortable. We have been to a few other restaurants and they do not have half as much covid safety precautions in place as The White Crow. Adhering to covid precautions in public places is very serious, if we, the world are to overcome this terrible deadly infection once and for all, we need to adhere to everything! The food at The White Crow is very consistent, always excellent. The Roast Beef Dinners are lovely and very substantial, as well as Chili Con Carne very tasty! The White Crow is up there at the top with everything that they do, where only the best deserve to be!

Went earlier this month before the new rules came in re face coverings.Rang up to book and explained that I felt nervous going out so asked if staff were wearing face coverings? Answer was, we leave it up to them but we will wear them this lunchtime when you come in and they did! Also asked for a secluded table and they accommodated us in a friendly, professional way, not like some more “upmarket” establishments in the area which don’t seem to understand that customer service is more important than image. Food great value for money, big portions and piping hot. This is one pub that seems to understand that once all this is over, they will again rely on core customers for weekday lunches and us oldies will not forget who made us feel safe and who made us feel like we were just moaning old biddies! Thank you White Crow.

Out they came and mine was wrong again mash not sweet potato fries, so I got a side order brought to me.The manager came back to ask the dreaded question " is everything all right with you food" head up looking at the ceiling knowing it was not, I said you have some balls asking that , but the food was lovely now you have it right, her reply " just pay for the starters it's been a bad experience and no our usual standard, sorry", what more can I ask for than that.Mistakes happen it's how you deal with them and they where dealt with excellently and I will go back soon.

I had the unfortunate pleasure of eating here recently and to say that the food was nothing more than simple pub fare being sold at extortionate restaurant prices would be an understatement. Two pub lunches and two pints of lager and a bill of over fifty pounds!!!!! add this to the fact that you don't even get waitress service but have to go to the bar and order your food and when it does arrive it consists mostly of frozen cheap produce it defies belief! If this place is calling itself a restaurant which it is, it is clearly delusional and has not even got the basics right. I have never been into a "Restaurant" where when I asked for condiments they arrived in little plastic sachets which were of some spurious cheap brand from the local cash and carry, this did amuse me a little as I watched diners struggle to tear these open with their teeth(Those who had them) and to watch other tearing at them with blunt knives and forks only to be rewarded with a less than a thimble full of cheap watery crap and quite often to find most of it on their clothes the table or their fingers. Nice touch!!!! This place is clearly focused on one thing and that is profit, they neither care about quality or value for money, the food is not terrible it is pub grub and as such should be priced as such and I for one would have little to complain about, this establishment is all fur coat and no knickers and as I stated at the onset a pub lunch for two that cost over fifty quid that in truth would have been twenty quid and better quality in any Wetherspoons I leave it up to you if you have money to burn and love frozen food then this place is right up your street!!!!!! Furthermore as a footnote my wife was ill for most of the evening after eating here, can't say for sure it was the food as we ate different things but still it casts a shadow of doubt.

We dined here in August. My wife had a steak pudding which came with gravy. There wasn’t much so my wife asked could she have a little more. We had our meals which were good but wasn’t happy when we got home and noticed we had been charged an extra £1-95 for the gravy. As the food was good we returned earlier this month and took my receipt as I thought they’d rectify/compensate us for this additional charge. We were told quite clearly this was a management directive and even if you were given a “measles” amount they had to charge an extra £1-95 if you asked for some more. If you’d had a potion of chips and asked for gravy fair enough but to charge for it when it comes with the dish is very shortsighted and penny pinching. Especially as we weren’t informed they’d be an additional charge it was underhand and sharp practice. It was the principle and not the amount. As a result and the reluctance of the staff to resolve the matter to our satisfaction we will not be dining with you again.

Not impressed, 5 out of 10, chairs very uncomfortable, no waitress service so had to keep getting up for food, desserts, drinks, lovely staff though I must say that, dark inside, average food. Had much better

Eaten at this restaurant many times and always found it nice however Sunday for Mother’s Day was well of the mark . Overall the quality of the food was really poor in fact I would go as Farr as to say frozen produce was used in the Yorkshire pudding as the meat did not taste home made as it has in the past . Also the lamb and mint pudding was very doughy and lacking in taste not really what you expect when paying £12.95 for pudding and chips .

We booked a table for 7pm, there was a little confusion about the table request but soon sorted. It wasn’t very warm when we arrived, the radiators were luke warm and within an hour they had gone cold. It was a wet and cold night I would have thought heating was an essential. We presumed they would come warm again, unfortunately they didn’t and we were all feeling the cold by the time we went home.

We just turned up here on a busy Saturday night as we were staying at kilhey court. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the hostess which was lovely, even though it looked like every table was full she still found us somewhere to sit. The food was amazing my fussy 13 year old had fish & chips and ate every single bit I had lasagne and also ate everything, it was succulent & very tasty. The girls had sticky toffee pudding and a jam sponge for afters. Exremly well priced we will most definitely be back thank you.

My extended family and I visited the White Crow on a busy Saturday evening having reserved a table for 10 with no difficulty. The staff had kindly moved tables around to accommodate our party in an area with plenty of space for all.

Walked to the White Crow from nearby Coppull for Saturday Lunch ,and was so worth it. When we arrived we were welcomed by a waitress cleaning a table, which is always a good sign. We went to the bar and was served straight away with a local ale from the Prospect Brewery, which was excellent . We then picked our own table for two , it was quite busy but nobody hanging around bar. The menu is extensive with specials on a board too. We both ordered the giant Yorkshire pudding with slow cooked beef, one with chips and one with new potatoes both with seasonal veg. It arrived within 10 minutes, and we were offered extra sauces etc. Both plates were hot with food steaming.. it looked delicious..and it was, everything was cooked to perfection. Yorkshire was crispy, cabbage and peas were perfect and beef was gorgous . It was about £12.95 , which for me is quite expensive...but it was worth it. Waitress came to check if everything was ok,and then cleared plates within 5 minites of us finishing , which I like. Bar maid also did around collecting any empty glasses too . All staff were excellent and had obviously been well trained. …...We will be back . Thank you.

We visited after Christmas. The menu was varied and catered for most tastes. Looking at other reviews we must have gone on a bad day. It was quite cold in there and some food was great while others weren’t overly impressed. Desserts were pretty expensive for what you got too.

Well everything about the White Crow is excellent apart from the stifling temperature in the place! Each time we have been it's like being in an oven! If the intention is to make you drink more it actually has the opposite effect..as you want to get out! Food is terrific, young waitresses are excellent as is ambiance but... please turn the heating down!!

I've visited here a few times now in the past couple of months alone. My partner and I became more comfortable here with each visit, being especially impressed with the layout of the building and the main courses, but less impressed with the soups, desserts and ... maybe the toilets (could do with a refurbish).

Thought we would all pop in for a nice famiy meal on our way back after visiting my Dad in hospital, l had Gammon, new potatoes with what looked like the salad was just thrown on, my mum had the hunters chicken which looked horrendous, should of been barbecue sause bacon and cheese, it was just a mush,my sister had a lasagne, which she said was just like soup, my daughter had braised steak she said it was ok, the standard was 2 for 10, very disappointed. Came to 56.00 that’s without any puddings will not be returning. Thought it was very expensive. Staff weren’t very friendly at all.

So decided to come and have some lunch right at the start when they were serving it and when we got there straight away they said that the lasagna was not available a restaurant like this to say straight away that a certain item on the menu is not available that's like thinking to yourself how I ordered something else but it wasn't nice customer service wasn't the best been going for so many years maybe they've changed chefs maybe they've done something a little bit differently but I was very unpleasant with my visit when you have been going for so many years and thinking to yourself I'll give it one more chance one more chance one more chance sometimes you think to yourself maybe chances have now come to an end

Booked a table for the breakfast sharing board for two people for this morning. Have to say it was amazing and fantastic value, however today the service let us down. We weren't asked if we wanted drinks, so I asked and was told tea/coffee wasn't included, which was fair enough, so we ordered 2 coffees, the food came and after checking online I saw it included orange juice, so had to ask for that. Great choice of food and such a lovely pub. Have been many times for afternoon tea and always received a nice welcome. I have knocked a star off today for service. We finished our food but the staff serving were sat eating breakfast, so we waited a while and no one came, so had to disturb the staff to ask them if they could box the food we hadn't managed to eat up, not a problem. Staff are lovely, however we shouldn't have to feel we are disturbing them when we need to leave.
