Since Nancy has been at the pub, it has started to get more people in and become popular again as a pub. Really friendly staff and good beer.

Visited for first time since reopening. Met new landlady who was fabulous and friendly. Atmosphere was excellent, with karaoke in the background. Nice to see a clientele more suited to nice environment. Good luck with the venture and keep the pub for nice local people. We need it!!

Very poor. Poor service, poor staffing, even worse management. Food was edible but nothing to write home about. Needs new decor, no baby change facilities, no disabled toilets. Staff to familiar with locals/regulars to the point where they turn a blind eye to drugs and violence. Overall just a disgusting atmosphere and not very welcoming. Felt uncomfortable whole visit to the point where I took my family elsewhere.

The Church Inn is such a great pub. It’s been through some rough times over the last couple of years but the new management have turned it around into a welcoming, buzzing pub with great beer and great food.

The Church Inn has improved dramatically. The food is now absolutely lovely, the staff are attentive. The atmosphere is still lively, long may it continue. Highly recommend.

Been a regular for a few years and got to say that the new landlord and landlady are so welcoming and are the best to take over after numerous hosts. Everyone friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Kids welcome, dogs welcome, basically everyone is welcome.

My friend and I came to this place for lunch, when we got there the barman said we don't do lunches till Friday, and Saturday, when I pointed out it says lunches all day, he just shrugged his shoulders and said, not no more we don't, he was very off handish, so we definitely won't be going back there again.

Don't bother...1 ale which was mild. Full of young people shouting out there business. Service was miserable and if we weren't waiting for the bus we wouldn't have bothered!!!

Looks can be deceiving. Pub looked really nice when we first passed however when we decided to call in there were people in the doorway smoking and blocking our way in. Cask ales are advertised however the only one they had on was a mild so had to have a Carling. There was also a young child sat on a stool at the bar

A new landlord . Getting served is difficult even if the pub is not full. It seems they can't be bothered. Perhaps its just teething problems, but I won't rush back.

Having recently moved to leigh I was excited by the exterior of this pub, it looked lovely and advertised real ales and home cooked food. My partner and I visited only to find a cold sparse interior, chemical smell, no food and a poor selection of beer. On a Sunday afternoon there was only a few men in there. Needs to either live up to its external signage or take some signs down. The only positive was the friendly staff.

I was back in my home village so I could look after my Dad. Decided to head out in a Friday to have a relaxing drunk The Church Inn was the venue for my first pub beer in 1984 and when I turned 18 a few years later a regular haunt. Visited on a Friday so karaoke but not annoying if you sit at the left end. The staff are friendly, there's a decent drink selection and sandwiches are put out too A normal pub!

Decent drinking pub, has some good ales on tap and a nice cosy atmosphere, but the cosy atmosphere will end on a weekend as they have some very good acts on so get there early if you want a seat, as it does get packed out.

Food is not nice at all. Curry was greasy, the naan was flatter than a chapati and the dhall was just water with herbs floating in it. I will not order from there again.

It’s the perfect place to go and have a family reunion with staff being polite and welcoming with looking professional and well organized during work. The wait for the food wasn’t long with the food being presentable and the taste of the food was excellent. I recommend everyone to visit with not having any issues the last few times we’ve been and it’s always being constant with its delivery. We for sure will be coming here more regularly.

My mum booked the back room for my baby shower which we was told held up to 40 people. There was one staff member between us all to take our orders, bring out food, then had to take food back due to it being cold and being wrong, then he was expected to clean up after we had finished even with other staff just standing around this poor young lad was made to do all the work on his own hats off to this young lad you was amazing and he couldn’t apologise enough to us. I think he was called Harold young lad and so polite no issues what so ever with him as a staff member. The poor lad was then made to tell us we had to leave for half 4 even when people were still eating, people hadn’t received food they ordered and children waiting on their desserts. They had booked another party in after us and they was made to wait there was no give time inbetween us and them. We was rushed out of the room and kicked out having to try and get balloon stacks down, gifts in the car and to be out the room ourselves. When my mum spoke to the manager on shift he was very rude when she asked if he was the manger was blunt and said “yes who’s next” my mum hadn’t even told him the issues. Wouldn’t recommend if your booking for a large amount of people.
