We had a walk to here on a sunny midweek afternoon my grandson and myself It was nice to sit outside and have cold drinks We also had something to eat,we had chicken burger and roast beef roll with chips food was basic but nice although there was not a lot of choice on the menu It seems OK for a dinner time snack but not for a family meal Would I go back again? Not impressed odrered a drink and food only to be told cash machine is down so i refuse to pay for the drink as i wanted food with, so went to try cash machine again it worked go figure then manager comes over to me complaining ive upset his staff wtf i was shocked during our conversation the staff i supposedly upset came over with a refund for my food as they had run out of sausages jeeez i only wanted a sausage an egg barm/bun not to much to ask wont be back here anytime soon shocking service

Después de leer las críticas anteriores decidimos darle una oportunidad a este lugar. Miércoles por la noche tiene una oferta de dos comidas de carne con una botella de vino por £14.95. Bistec era delicioso y servido con champiñones, tomate, aros de cebolla y patatas fritas. Pedimos pudin de postre, que era excelente. El servicio era estupendo y la calidad de la comida en el precio fue excelente.

La calidad de la comida excepcional a un precio muy bueno. Ambiente agradable en un entorno acogedor. Una vez que has probado sin duda volveremos. Pruébalo, no te arrepentirás.

I went to school with the landlord of this pub and bumped into him a couple of weeks ago and he told me about their steak night so we thought we would give it a try. £14.95 for two sirloin steaks with all the accompaniments and even proper home made chips and a bottle of wine! You can't beat that for value. The food was delicious and the service exceptional and a very friendly atmosphere. We went around 6.15pm and I'm glad we did as the pub soon started to fill up and no wonder at those prices. There is a large car park to the side and also a beer garden. Can't wait to go back and try the Sunday lunch! Well done Kent and his team.

We have just partaken in The Crowns Sunday lunch offer at £6-95 for two course. Our table of four took a variety of options , two opting for two starters and then mains , and myself and my son had the lunch then dessert choice. All the food and courses were excellent , Well Done to mine host , Kent , and the team.

The Crown has only recently started serving food, initially starting with a Sunday Lunch menu, then adding a Steak Deal menu on a Wednesday evening, which was advertised as 2 steak meals and a bottle of wine for just £14.95.Having regularly visiting the pub on Friday evenings over the last few months for the great karaoke night, we decided to try out the Steak Deal. To be perfectly honest, we weren't expecting too much for this price, but we were in for a pleasant surprise. On the night we visited, we had a choice of either rump or sirloin steak, with chips, mushrooms, onion rings and tomato, plus a bottle of wine. We chose the sirloin steaks which were extremely tender and tasty as well as being cooked to perfection - cooked exactly as we had asked. The chips and onion rings were fresh and hand-cooked, not the frozen offerings usually served in pubs these days. The mushrooms and tomato were equally tasty and cooked to perfection. The meals were beautifully presented on plain white crockery - very contemporary and would not have been out of place in a high-end restaurant. We had ordered an extra side dish of both chips and mushrooms, but found that we really did not need to have done so, as the portions were plenty big enough and we struggled to finish the extras! Even so, we decided to attempt a dessert, having heard that the Sticky Toffee Pudding with custard was to be recommended. How true! It was a huge portion and one of the lightest and tastiest we have ever tasted. Once again, it was beautifully presented. The landlord, Kent, was very helpful and attentive, without being over-intrusive, as were the lovely young ladies who were waiting tables. The chef is obviously very capable and takes pride in his work - both cooking and presentation could not be faulted. We have returned twice since our first visit a couple of weeks ago, firstly taking our grown-up son with us and then our son, daughter and son-n-law with us on the 3rd visit. We tried the rump steak on the latter visits and this too proved to be extremely tender and tasty, as well as being even bigger than the sirloin! All were as equally as impressed with the main and dessert courses as we were, saying that it was probably the best steak deal they have ever tasted. We cannot fault any part of the meal or the service. and would certainly recommend trying it at the earliest opportunity. The pub is friendly, clean and comfortable. We hope that the pub goes from strength to strength and continues to offer a great food service. We shall certainly be returning on a regular basis. Thank you all and good luck!

Had dinner and struggled to choose of menu , wanted to order a few things , good choice of beers. Would definately go again.

Very impressed with the menu, the food was excellent! The atmosphere in the pub was great and service was attentive. Unlike most pubs the food was actualy homecooked instead of microwaved rubbish. happily return and deffinately recommend!!

Czysto,elegancko,dzieki narzeczonemu a od dwoch dni mezowi wiem i widze wiecej jaka roznica jest miedzy hotelami i restsuracjami.tenhotel jest polozony w pieknej spokojnej okolicy.dza dzieci mysle ze nie ma wiele atrakcji.jest basen,jakuzi,sauna,spa,bar ,restauracja z ladnym widokiem.jedzenie jest smaczne,tylko za internet trzeba placic 5 f za godzine i parking jest ok ale zeby wyjechac trzeba wziasc z recepcji kartke z kodem i wbic go w klawiature ktora znsjduje sie kolo fontanny.

First visit to this pub, heard that they had recently started serving food. Excellent home cooked food. Great service by friendly and welcoming staff, will definatley be calling back.

Good food, attentive staff, great prices.It was fairly busy when we visited but we didnt feel rushed.

I remember the beer more than the food but as I recall both were excellent and the atmosphere was brill' too. Im on the mailing list and already planning my next visit.
