Our first visit after our own village pub had to close down. What a revelation and just like a proper pub should be - obviously due to Kev, the owner, and his team’s friendly expertise. Running a successful pub is not for amateurs these days. We took advantage of the Steak Night with excellent 8oz filet steaks, cooked rare to perfection, and a bottle of Rioja. The menu looks interesting with daily specials that we will try next time. Well done to the owners, you deserve your success.

This was our second time dining at 263 and it was just as wonderful as the first. I had a family member visiting and the team had very kindly signed a menu as a little memento - what a great touch! The food was once again incredible with a few changes from the menu on our previous visit - impossible to pick a single highlight but the salt aged beef was certainly the best I've ever had, and the black trompette madeleine instantly unlocked treasured childhood memories of freshly baked cakes - a perfect way to finish the meal. The team were fantastic, a slick but personable service that shows their commitment to the craft. The Sommelier was able to flex her knowledge of wines by expertly helping us select a bottle for the table based on our tastes - never an easy task when there are three people, but it was the perfect accompaniment to the meal. Overall just another brilliant experience from 263 and I'm already excited to return!

Went for lunch with the husband, mother in law, and aunt in law for my husband's birthday lunch. I didn't get any pictures but I can say the food was beautiful. I had the bhudda bowl with chicken and it was soooo tasty! Perfect balance of textures with the croutons and salad, the coleslaw was very very good, and the baconnaise was yummy. My hubby and mumil had burgers and it was wonderful to see hubby finish a full meal. He's always been a picky eater and never finishes a meal so he obviously really enjoyed it :) he did a lot of nodding and satisfied mumbling We picked B+B as my hubby is now in recovery (3 weeks sober ❤️) so we wanted somewhere quiet, good food, good coffee, and a chill environment where we could relax and be away from the beer garden sun seekers that fill the main street in town. And it was perfect! Staff were lovely, the space is gorgeous, and I love the wall of dogs! Will have to go back with my own doggo soon 😊

Popped in before visiting the museum, very limited number of sandwiches although a nice setting and certainly ok if you just need a drink.

This place is really an experience! The decor is so elegant and beautiful, and ambience is nice, welcoming and comforting. The staff are seem really professional and the service was great. The menu is unbelievably amazing! I normally skim through menu’s but I actually wanted to take my time and read through this one. Lovely menu book. It’s in a nice location and I would highly recommend going. Prices are very reasonable in comparison to other desserts places.

Excellent quality ingredients. We had a bacon roll and a sausage and bacon roll with an extra hash brown which we added on top on the roll. Crispy bacon, perfectly cooked sausage on a crusty roll. Have been back to the train station since just for this. Latte was ok too.

We arrived early but were seated straightaway. We were offered drinks and the menu. We ate from the 2 courses menu for £26. Starters were crab donuts (a little fishy tasting if you know what I mean) and brisket croquettes were quite tasty. Mains was steak and frittes and sea bream with crushed potatoes and park Choi. However the pak choi was very over cooked and limp and not drained properly so spoilt the goats cheese veloute , making it very watery. Deserts were strawberry crème brûlée - highlight of the meal and passion fruit tart. All dishes beautifully presented and service very good.
