The best restaurants serving British food in Liverpool North West

Our 2nd visit here & what a fantastic place this is!! Delicious coffees & teacakes & the breakfasts looked amazing too!! The welcome is so lovely & a fab atmosphere...what more can you ask for!! 😊xx

This is my must go to place when I visit Liverpool but I cannot understand why it isn’t more busy. The staff are always friendly and present and you can watch the world go by if you get a window seat. I would say they need more staff especially to cover staff when they go on their lunch break. We arrived at 1pm for the place to be closed, but told to come back after 2pm

I would recommend this place as I came here with my parents and had the nice white chocolate mocha. I will be coming back for sure

Absolutely terrible, don't waste your time and money, very overpriced for the quality. I purchased a breakfast tea and a lemon drizzle slice the tea was incredibly unflavoured and the lemon drizzle slice was dry and partially stale. Wouldn't recommend service was slow too.

Nice place with a big choice of lunches. You can also have breakfast there. Affordable prices Chocalate Orange cake was lovely.

Food is amazing here cannot fault it. I’ve been a few times for breakfast and lunch and the food is always spot on. However the staff leave something to be desired, always terrible. They turn people away when the place is empty, I tried to order off the lunch menu at 13:10 which starts at 13:00 and was told twice no because the chef wasn’t ready for lunch orders, despite people who had waited too long going up to the bar and ordering for themselves and getting served. The staff clearly go to pieces when they have more than one table in. Absolute shambles, good job the chef is good.

Second time visiting with my husband again amazing !! . It was busy but served fast , are waitress was lovely could see she was busy but did not rush us , helped me with my menu choice lovely girl (sorry did not get name) I had feta starter & chicken gyros felt like being back in Greece lovely food . Look forward to my next visit ..

Great service, staff friendly. Food bats above a chain pub. If you have a dog, they bring water, blanket & treats. Lovely outdoor space (weather permitting) Will definitely return.

The staff here are so helpful and friendly. I visited here not long ago the chips & sides where great! loved all the sauces available too. I really recommend here, such a lovely small businesses!

Lovely Sunday afternoon with friends. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, live music .Finished our day out at Albert Dock nicely . Definitely be back soon !

Was really looking forward to our 3 course meal that we had paid for through Virgin Experience Days...... But it was SHUT . Just a number scribbled on an A board. So obviously can't comment on the service, the food, the ambience......

Starter was beautifully presented and delicious (goats cheese profiteroles with onion marmalade) Main Course was fantastic ‘a real Jem’ as a lady I like a Petite three course and the Salt Baked Mediterranean Sea Bass was a delight. Dessert, perfect end to an exiting adventure. Avocado and Peach Sorbet with Lemongrass Coulis.

We had a lovely lunch at the River Room- the surroundings were relaxed but luxurious and the staff were impeccable. The food was of a very high standard with generous portions. Thanks to everyone for their professional and warm service.

We called in for a couple of drinks when passing. Nice new interior with lovely bar staff. Drinks reasonably as were the cocktails.
