Food is amazing here cannot fault it. I’ve been a few times for breakfast and lunch and the food is always spot on. However the staff leave something to be desired, always terrible. They turn people away when the place is empty, I tried to order off the lunch menu at 13:10 which starts at 13:00 and was told twice no because the chef wasn’t ready for lunch orders, despite people who had waited too long going up to the bar and ordering for themselves and getting served. The staff clearly go to pieces when they have more than one table in. Absolute shambles, good job the chef is good.

Delicious breakfast in a great location, the ideal start to our day. If we had been in the city longer we would have liked to try the lunch/Dinner menus too.

Came here this afternoon for afternoon tea. Firstly I would like to say the staff here are very accommodating and friendly, especially the man who wore the flat cap ( possibly the manager) he was lovely and patient with us. so if you see this, thankyou so much you made our visit! The afternoon tea itself was OK.. price was decent but the food itself was standard. the bread on both the sandwiches and the wraps tasted a tiny bit stale. The fillings, I’m pretty sure they are pre made ones from Costco which is a shame because I could of done them at home myself! The cakes was really nice but the scones was very soggy and falling apart. We ordered a side of chips and chicken strips which was delicious and I could tell they was made in-house! Would I come here again? Definitely, just not for afternoon tea Nevertheless my mum enjoyed her visit here for her 50th birthday :) It’s very well reasonably priced! Thanks again to “the man in the flat cap” x

Looking for somewhere to eat on last morning of stay in Liverpool, we came across Nova Scotia. Although it was quiet as it was early the place has a great vibe, relaxing.Lovely friendly staff, food was fresh and very tasty would definitely recommend, I had a gala brioche which was so good! Coffee was very good as well. Only wish we had spotted earlier but next time in Liverpool will return.

We were a party of 2 who went for lunch and as the weather was lovely, we chose to sit outside. Ordering was really easy and the food was lovely when it arrived. It was a really lengthy wait for 2 sandwiches (50 minutes).

Es un local donde no notas tanto la peculiaridad de la cocina inglesa.Digamos que es lo mas parecido a los pubs restaurantes españoles y europeos.

Horrendous food. We ordered mixed grill and rump steak even after asking how we wanted it cooking it came out over well done. Felt sorry for the guy on the till he was ok. But who ever is in the kitchen needs to hang up there frying pan and go and find a job a a crematorium. Also CCTV in the men's toilets. Pictures added was meant to be gammon steak 🥩
