Decided to go after much persuasion. Generous portions, piping hot and overall very good. However, located a 'hair' inside steak pudding. Young staff member unfortunately very dismissive of such a critical hygiene factor and suggested take it or leave it. So customer service poor, attention to quality weak and won't be going back.

The meal and service were second to none. Cosy Dining Room with fire to set the mood, excellent service. I cannot recommend enough

Just like to know where the latest reviews are? Would not have given it even 1 star as you can't get on to write a review without doing this. Called in yesterday the 8th of November just for a brew, but decided to have a sandwich to go with it, chose a ham sandwich which was the worst thing I did, for £8.25 it was rediculous what arrived 2 small sandwiches and some sad looking lettuce on a board, was expecting proper ham but inside was plastic ham and not very much, ps the type that you get in packets from Tesco, I did complain about it while I was there but didn't get anything knocked off the bill. Altogether with the drinks cost £16.75. Anyone else who goes here please check quality of the sandwich before you start eating it. Will not be going again, a very unhappy customer.

We booked a bottomless brunch for myself and 3 of my friends on a Saturday evening for a birthday. We had 7 cocktails each throughout the brunch mixing up the cocktails each time. Me and my friends normally get drunk quite quickly however we left this brunch stone cold sober. We were also promised a free shot for the birthday girl by the waiter but forgot and we prompted him again, we paid and 40 mins went by and still no shot so we then left. We felt very disappointed by this brunch as the drinks were very much watered down If any alcohol in them at all. Not worth the £35pp.

Had a cup of decaf cappuccino which was half foam so only half a cup of actual coffee. My partners ordinary cappuccino was ok. I took mine to the counter thinking perhaps the machine was playing up and the assistant said, that’s just how it comes, and very rudely walked away and out the back before I could explain. The coffee was actually very nice, what there was of it.

Food very good, but badly let down by poor service. It was very busy when we arrived but we were seated and lunch was served in a reasonable amount of time. Food was good quality so no issues. We paid and then decided to have another drink. That confused them massively! Three times we asked for two teas, and three times we were ignored. Ended up walking out. Won’t be visiting again!

This used to be my "go to" for fish and chips however since Andy left the quality has nosedived. Small greasy fish but the irish curry is good. This review is not based on a single visit as anyone can have an off night but is based on several recent friday tea time visits. Always seems to be a long wait now and looks to be understaffed with staff running round like headless chickens. I now travel to Great harwood for decent fish and chips.

This was poor quality and very expensive, £8 for a sausage, bacon & cheese sandwich and a steak pie. Let better quality out there wouldn’t recommend

We called in here after a good shop around Oswaldtwistle Mills and were pleased to enjoy some good honest to goodness food. It was very busy and we had to wait a while to give our order but that just gave us time to study the Specials board. Our party of four all had different meals but all agreed that the food was exceptional. The home-made lasagne that I had was probably the best lasagne that I have eaten out. Full marks for service and food.

Clean the toilets I literally had to ask To use disabled loo as the other was soaking wet if I’d have dropped my trousers they’d have ended up in piss. Entered the disabled toilet to see it exact the same but at least this one had less loo roll on the floor and some left in the dispenser

Recently attended Jamie's Death Row taster evening. What a night! The food and atmosphere was brilliant 👏. The time and effort that Jamie made in preparing and presenting the six course gourmet menu was outstanding. As for value for money - without a doubt. Can't wait for the next one Jamie 🤩

Called for tea and had the midweek special costing only £9.99. Great choice on the menu and I had the liver and onion gravy with three veg and chips. It was cooked pink as requested and really tasty. My wife had the fish and chips and also enjoyed. Portion size is excellent. The pub is cosy with great views
