This used to be my "go to" for fish and chips however since Andy left the quality has nosedived. Small greasy fish but the irish curry is good. This review is not based on a single visit as anyone can have an off night but is based on several recent friday tea time visits. Always seems to be a long wait now and looks to be understaffed with staff running round like headless chickens. I now travel to Great harwood for decent fish and chips.

Best chippy in town... and the chicken burgers are better than kfc... great value . Great portions. Can't fault it at all

Just nipped to the "Whalley Road Fish Bar" and ordered sausage and chips and curry twice and a small chips and gravy at £12.30, however when i go back to work I had actually been given Chips and gravy twice and sausage chips and curry. I called them up for which they were polite and apologised saying the new girl had wrote it down wrong but I saw her write it and it clearly said sausage, chips and curry twice and small chips and gravy, so I asked if i was due some money back but I was told that I had been charged correctly. Either I am out of touch with the cost of chippy's or this is an expensive one, suffice to say I won't be going back.

We stopped off here for fish and chips on a match night and enjoyed a Fish Bar Special - a lovely fresh portion of fish, chips and peas which was extremely good value. No wonder it was so busy!

Had a pint in the pub opposite, sitting in the sun, and the smell from the fish & chip shop over the road was just so appealing……so I went and got a fish in a tea cake. It was absolutely excellent, first rate! The batter was so crisp and the fish tasted like it had been in the sea that morning. Smiley and friendly service and very good value too!

Fish and chips, the highlight of anyone's day, but fish in batter was very poor and limp, tasted like rubber in some places. Chips were fine though

Went for the first time tonight, lovely food at a reasonable price and nice & friendly staff. My only grumble would be waiting times, due to high demand, I think they would benefit from a couple more staff members to help them cope with orders and to deal with the phone orders, other than that I thought it was excellent and I’ll definitely be visiting again, but maybe ringing in advance would be a better option next time!

Great food although the size portions can’t help me budge the feeling of being ripped off. Small and disappointing.

Called Saturday lunchtime before going to the football match (Rotherham United won) with our 3 grandsons. Fish cooked to order so piping hot and crispy. Chicken nuggets went down a treat and the portions of chips were enormous. There are 2 tables that seat 4 but we had our food in cartons to take away. Lovely pleasant staff and free lollipops for the boys.

We called in here after a good shop around Oswaldtwistle Mills and were pleased to enjoy some good honest to goodness food. It was very busy and we had to wait a while to give our order but that just gave us time to study the Specials board. Our party of four all had different meals but all agreed that the food was exceptional. The home-made lasagne that I had was probably the best lasagne that I have eaten out. Full marks for service and food.

Clean the toilets I literally had to ask To use disabled loo as the other was soaking wet if I’d have dropped my trousers they’d have ended up in piss. Entered the disabled toilet to see it exact the same but at least this one had less loo roll on the floor and some left in the dispenser

We booked a bottomless brunch for myself and 3 of my friends on a Saturday evening for a birthday. We had 7 cocktails each throughout the brunch mixing up the cocktails each time. Me and my friends normally get drunk quite quickly however we left this brunch stone cold sober. We were also promised a free shot for the birthday girl by the waiter but forgot and we prompted him again, we paid and 40 mins went by and still no shot so we then left. We felt very disappointed by this brunch as the drinks were very much watered down If any alcohol in them at all. Not worth the £35pp.
