The best restaurants serving British food in Fylde North West

Called for a take out brunch before travelling back to the northeast. Same excellent quality, same friendly staff. 1 Bacon barmcake and 1 club sandwich later we were well fed and very happy we had called. Due to covid they have set up a table at the doorway with copy menus taped to it, and a bell to ring for service if no one in the shop. There were a couple of chairs outside to rest on while you waited or the friendly lass serving said we could go back to our car and she would give us a shout when ready.

Lovely Sunday if you are in the area. It is worth the visit and every star given.

Hubby and me popped over to Clitheroe Monday afternoon for a bit shopping then into Swale's for a late lunch ... Meat and Potato Pie Peas and Gravy and 2 mugs of tea ...can't beat it 😋

Stayed here in car park in our camper for the Night as it was on an app called park4night. Have read a lot of reviews and disagree with a lot of them and have to give my true reflection as bad reviews can really do harm to someone’s business if they don’t get what they desire!! Like I said stayed one night, brilliant park up. Owners..brilliant! Restaurant..could do with an update to be honest I won’t lie however…food!!!!!! Wow just wow! Someone has wrote “came out of a tin” what an insult!! In no way shape or form did any of mine or my wife’s food come out of a tin. This probably sounds a bit much but I/we have never eaten food of this kind of quality in our lives! I will enclose a picture! And portion size wow!! That’s a bit of me! And we also had our young daughter with us too and was recommended by the owner just to share with her and not to order something separate. How right he was! So in that respect he had the decency to tell us this rather than let us spend more money in “his” restaurant which I thought was very good. So it’s a thumbs up from us!! People please do try and take peoples reviews with a pinch of salt. Again many thanks to the owners for letting us stay.. free of charge we might add Thankyou

We called in to have lunch when on a day out with our 2 year old grandson. Can’t fault anything from start to finish. The staff couldn’t do enough for you, and all are very polite. Our grandson was offered crayons and a colouring sheet whilst waiting for our food. The food was excellent and plentiful. I can highly recommend the broccoli and stilton soup. Would recommend the place, we will be back soon and thank you for a lovely lunch.

Wow what a fabulous atmosphere, friendly staff on hand to guide you through the extensive menu, from Tapas to traditional. Really tasty food, must own up to food envy, but my meal was delicious. The four of us had the most relaxed time. The recommendation of gin and tonic went down extremely well, finished off a perfect lunch. Thanks so much everyone for making our first visit so welcoming. Excellent fish and chips freshly cooked and tasty nice and hot and friendly service highly recommended also it's convenient to park right outside all along the street

Made a reservation and wven had it confirmed by email the day before, however on arrival to the restaurant the day after the email confirmation/reminder it was shut, with no contact made to myself, imo do not bother visiting as they even though they claim the guest is god, it clearly isnt by this behaviour. Very disappointed and a complete waste of time.

Booking system has a total catch 22 in place - unusual for such a professional and well run facility. You have to book through website however if it is not available you have to phone - who then tell you to try website again, who then reply back again to say phone the facility .... never ending loop Dissapointing

We attended an event at the Clifton Arms Hotel which we really enjoyed. The decor of the hotel was lovely with a great view over the seafront. Breakfast was excellent - nice choice of cooked options to order as well as a small buffet of cold items to help yourself to. The car parking is limited with some spaces quite tight, but there is free on street parking along the seafront so not the end of the world.

The business is under new ownership and now just sells ice cream, rock, sweets and other novelties. We ordered ice cream and it was grainy so the children threw it away. Really disappointing.

Really made my friends birthday special and the Sunday dinner was amazing thanks very much I will be back and coca the dog it's a little friendly girl even though she's frightened of mine but Teddy loved it too

I joined folks from church for a lunchtime meal at the Glendower a few weeks ago. I had an excellent lunch in pleasant surroundings. I very much enjoyed the prawn cocktail, the lamb dish, finished off with sticky toffee pudding and ice cream. The portion sizes were just right. Our visit lightened the mood despite the miserable weather outside.

Very pleasant cafe, menu looked really good with a very extensive tea menu, different coffees and a good selection of food. Staff very professional, welcoming and helpful. Reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

Excellent Sunday lunch, fantastic three courses with plenty of food and great service in a fantastic location. Plenty of choice at reasonable price Definitely recommend
