We popped in at Lytham Kitchen during our stay in Lancashire. We received a warm welcome from friendly staff upon arrival and were seated at a table. We ordered our drinks and cake, which was served quickly by helpful and friendly staff. Most enjoyable coffee break!

Can’t fault the food or the serving staff. All excellent. My only concern was when we paid. We handed in our order and the bill was over £60. We asked for an itemised billl which turned out to have another order on top of ours on. The lady at the till blamed it on a new system that added previous one to ours. She refunded us but worried if we were first to challenge, how many had been overcharged already ?

Friendly service and good food. Excellent home made steak pie. Have a good gluten free menu with a lot of choice. Busy when we arrived, but service was very good

Stopped there as a family and had breakfast. The food was tasty,fresh and hot and you can see it’s a popular spot. Well worth a visit lovely veggie range too and great portions for kids. Curious what butter you use as loved my buttered toast! 5/5 class act

Visited over the August Bank Holiday weekend whilst on holiday in the area. The Lytham Kitchen had been recommended to us as my parents in law had visited there before. They only have one large table (apparently) and it was full we asked if we could reserve it for a certain time but was told that they couldn’t do that (no explanation given ) but if we gave it 10 - 15 mins it would be free. At least the girl we spoke to was polite if not very knowledgeable. Came back at the agreed time only to be met by a quite a rude young man who told me quite sharply we’d have to “ wait at the back of the queue” before I had even opened my mouth to explain or tell him how many people there were in our party etc. After I had politely reiterated our earlier conversation with the young girl. He again told me quite sharply “ well you will still have to wait your turn and join the back of the queue” As the other customers waiting appeared to be in parties of 2 it doesn’t seem good business to put 2 people on one large table just because they are first in the queue. Needless to say because of the young man’s attitude we didn’t join the back of the queue as he had instructed and went to Molley’s tea room across the road which comparing the menus was cheaper and the staff were definitely much politer !

Lovely little independent cafe on the high street. Delicious steak pie and freshly cooked fish. Wonderful food and service.

This was the 2nd visit my wife and I had made to the Lytham Kitchen We live about 60 miles from Lytham but go 3 or 4 times each year. Our previous breakfast haunt nearby became complacent and expensive, we felt, and service had certainly regressed. The Lytham Kitchen is now our go to place. There is a wide selection of items for breakfast, the coffee is good and importantly, the staff are excellent. I had the small breakfast accompanied by some seriously good wholemeal toast while my wife had scrambled eggs with smoked salmon. Top notch.

Great no frills breakfast served here. I had a bacon and mushroom barm. Big with lovely bacon. Tomato sauce and brown sauce in their bottle, no fiddly sachets to break your spirit after a heavy night. Mr J3 had a Full English. Massive doorstep wedges of bread and beans on the plate, not in a tiny bowl. He scoffed the lot. Service very good. Didn't like the remenants of the 'covid' screens between the front tables and walkway, reminded me all that nonsense and gave a hemmed in feeling. I haven't taken off a star though as it was a good breakfast experience.

Just love this place, good food, friendly staff and prices are appropriate . It's my go to place when in Lytham, it never disappoints and I can highly recommend

Came here after reading good reviews on trip advisor. We were not disappointed. Visited on a busy Saturday morning and sat outside. Impressed by the extensive menu but it was too early for lunch so we had coffee and cake. The carrot cake was delicious and my daughter had the cherry and almond scone. Staff were friendly knowledgeable and helpful. Will revisit when next in Lytham.

Excellent Sunday roast. Arrived at 11.45 before the lunchtime rush and glad we did as there was a big queue to get in from 12 which is testament to how good this place is. Service always great and really quick in order to keep the queue moving. I had the beef roast dinner and it was delicious.

We went for breakfast this morning and glad we arrived early as it gets very full soon,so it’s the better option if you don’t want to queue to get a seat! Our breakfasts were as perfect as ever and very reasonably priced.There’s nothing that we can complain about and it’s a little gem in the heart of Lytham.

We have been going to Lytham kitchen for 15 years. The quality of the food and service is always excellent. Even when busy the food is served quickly. Often there is a queue to enter at lunchtime, but the wait is not long, and the food is worth the wait. There are always daily specials. DOG FREE

I have been visiting this lovely cafe for almost 50 years and whilst the ownership and menu may have changed it is still one of the best places to eat during the day in Lytham ( and there is a lot of competition). On this visit I met a friend for breakfast and at 9.30 on a Saturday morning they had a queue waiting to get in for their superb breakfast offerings. Service is always speedy and the food was really good as always. Sit in the window seats to watch the world go by as you eat

It’s always really good here. The service is great and the food comes out quick. The breakfasts are particularly good. Service is good. Lunch time steak pie is fabulous. They never ever serve bad food.

Today we had lunch at this venue during our visit to Lytham . Lovely food, lovely staff who went out of their way to be helpful and kind. Well done to the owner for picking such a lovely team. I witnessed lots of kindness and professionalism from the staff dealing with customers of all ages. The food was lovely . We had soup and a salmon sandwich and both were delicious. The staff kindly gave us containers to bring home what we couldn’t eat. Thank you for a lovely experience.

Great fish and chips, only had the smaller portion but it was still a substantial meal as it included mushy peas, good value for money and quick service even though it was lunchtime. Will definitely revisit

We always come here when we visit Lytham. The last time we came to this bustling venue was in September. We both had chocolate cake and tea to drink. Our choices didn’t disappoint.

Had a beautiful lunch on Friday with family, prawn sandwiches to die for, filled to the brim with prawns & rose Marie sauce, excellent chips, jacket potatoes amazing home made soup.

Was okay apart from the baguette being toasted and too hard to bite through. Quite a busy place. We had the warm chicken baguette and it said pigs in blankets but there was just chopped up sausage in.

Fantastic cafe, freshly cooked food and very friendly staff. We had the breakfast which was superb, grease free well presented and very tasty, superb value for money.

Been about 20 times. Consistently great!!! Usually have the LK Brunch. Can always swap the tomatoes for something and they always let me. Great place to visit when in Lytham!

After 2 days of glorious sunshine in Blackpool, it was a dull morning so we caught the bus to Lytham. Found this place bang on 13h00 for lunch. I was going to order a jacket potato but saw they did Gluten Free Fish and Chips. Result! The boyf had a jacket potato which he said was lovely, I enjoyed my fish. Excellent service, wine by the glass and reasonable prices.Thank you!

Great customer service And really good food. The fish and chips were superb with nice touches salad and tartare sauce . Have to recommend.

Lovely, clean cafe with a warm welcome and generous plates of fresh food. Varied food and drink menu, seating on two floors, there are toilet upstairs too. The place does get busy so you may have to wait on a table depending on the time of day. Worth the wait though.

Great place , we called in here for some lunch and there was everything on the menu and specials board , they also serve full English breakfasts all day and also serve alcohol. The place was clean service was great and staff were very friendly, we will call again next time we are in Lytham .

Another fantastic lunch here today. Never fails to gain tip marks for service, cleanliness and very helpful staff. Opted for the Poached Salmon and Cream Cheese served on Thick Brown Granary bread with side salad and thick cut chips. Absolutely delicious.

We popped in on Friday 23 rd July 2021. What a great experience ,a friendly welcome, all smiling pleasant staff.The staff approached us with the menus an left us to decide an came back to take first drinks order ,then upon serving drinks took our meal order. They were so pleasant ,such a nice experience nowadays, the food was excellent and very very reasonably priced.It would be a great recommendation from us to anyone to give it a try we are sure you will not be disappointed.

We happen upon the place in the early afternoon and we're seated promptly. They offer a wide selection of meals including an excellent gluten free menu. All our food was fresh and delicious. The staff were friendly and efficient. Works highly recommend.

We picked up our beautifully packaged afternoon tea on Tuesday to take for a picnic with friends. Everything was absolutely delicious. The sandwiches were fantastic. A box of salad was included. The vanilla slices were the best I’ve ever tasted and the scones, jam and clotted cream were lovely. It was perfect. Definitely 5 stars!

Visited for a late lunch and from the moment we walked it we realised we had chosen the right place in Lytham, we where greeted by a very friendly professional young woman called Josie who looked after us from start to finish, the menu was explained in detail and some recommendations where made of which we did opt for, we went for the smaller plates and created our own little tapas, the food was delicious, fish cakes where to die for as was the beef cheeksWe enjoyed the whole experience so much we returned for drinks later in the evening and again the service and staff where first class, well done to everyone under these tough times we will most certainly be returning

We’ve just had a take away Sunday lunch , and it was amazing. We’ve had a few take away dinners from other restaurants recently, but this was incredible. The nearest thing to a home made dinner. Absolutely outstanding

We went to this lovely cafe for lunch.The service was excellent as was the Gammin and Seafood salad.I have eaten in many exspensive restaurants in Lytham and none of them had the same service with a smile.Social distancing and clean observed also the only place that asked us to checkin on the Covid app within the town.Thankyou see you very soon.

The cooking, staff and service is excellent during normal times. The restaurant quality belies its cafe appearance. During lockdown, they have managed to keep up the incredibly high standards. Visiting my elderly mother in St.Annes, I thoroughly enjoyed the feast they prepared for us to enjoy at home. The beef stew and dumplings was to die for! What's more, the care and attention they give to my elderly mother is deeply heartwarming. Thanks for everything

Went here on a very busy Friday for an excellent steak pie meal the service was really fast we then came back on Wednesday for the perfect fish pie and the best coffee for miles.Covid care excellent and the staff very friendly and diligent. Can't recommend enough many thanks.

Absolutely first class in every way. We dropped in for brunch on our way back to Scotland and staff were very welcoming and accommodating. All Covid-19 precautions in place and screens up too. We had brunch and it was delicious. I had the LK brunch and it came with lovely granary toast (you could have white if you wanted) and hubby had a full English. So tasty. We also ordered coffees and yummy freshly squeezed orange juice too. Well worth the trip to Lytham from Blackpool. Well be back!!

Went for lunch on a couple of different days - one week day and a weekend - and the food on each occasion was really flavoursome, well cooked and nicely presented (portion size was impressive too!). The system in place for covid times works really well, and the staff showed great customer care when dealing with us. Definitely a high recommendation from us.

I haven't had an experience quite this good in a while and I eat out a lot. Perfect from start to finish.Excellent social distancing measures in place. Warm welcome. I picked my table. Service was prompt and friendly. I was handed a menu which was extensive but I knew exactly what I wanted. My usual, cheese and mushroom omelette. I actually came here just for this experience! I have my favourite cafe in Blackpool. I just fancied a change and Google brought me here. What a wonderful resource the Internet is.Pot of tea beautifully presented. And a great cuppa too.The omelette - delightful. One of the best I've had. And I class myself as a bit of an expert! Lots of cheese and mushrooms. Light, fluffy and delicious. Served with a side salad and creamy coleslaw. Perfect experience and I will be back. Everything is cooked fresh, locally sourced too. Outside catering available which i will definitely be trying.The icing on the cake us that it's in beautiful Lytham. Just outside is a beautiful park where you can sit and soak up the atmosphere.Highly recommended.

Used Tripadvisor and discovered this lovely place for Sunday Lunch. Beautiful home cooked flavours. Beef medium, lovely Yorker with rich gravy and selection of vegetables and crispy roast and creamed potatoes. Outstanding value. Lovely service and location.

Lovely breakfast again , had breakfast here last weekend with my grandson . As usual great food and service . COVID safe.

I had a lovely late breakfast/early lunch. I always love a good Eggs Benedict and I was not disappointed. I got 2 poached eggs, perfectly done, with plenty of hollandaise sauce. Had a pot of tea and an almond & apricot slice to finish.Great service taking into all social distancing measures into account.

She who must be obeyed and me Popped in for lunch Aug BH Monday 2020. The place was busy so we had to wait a while to be seated. We were offered a table upstairs which suited us fine. All the Covid procedure in place here so we felt safe. A great menu combined with a comprehensive specials board. I chose from the specials board and had their game pie. The pie was delicious and served with fresh veg, red cabbage, a gravy boat and chunky chips. The other half had their steak n ale pie with mushy peas and chunky chips. We were both more than satisfied. It makes a change to find a place that isn’t all ping meals and someone that can cook. Combine this with excellent service and great prices will certainly encourage us to revisit.

Visited on a very busy Wednesday lunch time, had to queue for about 15 minutes but well worth it. We enjoyed two of the best salads we've ever had (ham & cheese + seafood). Service is exemplary and super friendly. A must if your a resident or visiting.

Sunday afternoon and we popped in on the off chance they’d have a table for 9 available, which they did. Wide choice of food ranging from full Sunday roasts to fresh fish, pies to sandwiches.Between us we tried a variety of dishes which were all fresh and tasty. The beef and turkey roast dinners were some of the stars, especially the amazing Yorkshire pudding. Portion sizes were generous too, so much so that we had to ask for a doggy bag to take our leftovers away. Service from most staff was excellent and requested changes to some dishes were no problem.Whilst the room upstairs is a lovely space with large windows giving excellent views over the war memorial area, our only suggestion for an improvement would be to install some air con up there as it was very, very warm meaning we left as soon as our mains had been eaten. Can’t wait to go back though, maybe next time to try out one of their breakfasts. We’ll just try to get a table downstairs next time!

We went for a day trip out the Lytham/Lytham St Annes and found this cafe whilst walking around.The cafe was busy but we got a table quickly. It has a full menu with hot and cold food, including full meals. As it was before lunch we just opted for a coffee and a hot chocolate, but we shared a toasted teacake.Everything was nice and not too expensive so I would recommend this place.

Excellent covid protections in place.. food and service excellent! We read the reviews online and decided to visit here for lunch after a long drive to Lytham - oh and the wedges with cheese and bacon.. epic! - thank you!

Visited Lytham kitchen for brunch as it looked like a lot of covid 19 procedures had been put in place (unlike a lot of other places!). There was hand sanitiser at the entrance which we were told to use. Our details were taken for track and trace. Everyone (bar one person who brought our food to us) was wearing visors and overall it felt safe to be there. The food we both ordered (full english) was fantastic 10/10. It was a great experience BUT....when it came to paying, there was a massive bottleneck at the till. People were naturally queuing here to get in, someone was buying an ice cream, people were ordering takeaway sandwiches and people were waiting to pay for their meals. It made all the earlier safety efforts less effective as social distancing wasnt able to be practiced. It took about 5 mins to pay and all the time everyone was crowded round the till. If portable paying machines had been used this would have solved the problem. Also there was one person who brought our food to us who had no face covering on. Other than that, the experience really was overall good and the food was brilliant. I would definitely go back. But please look at getting portable card machines to make the experience even better!

Visited early-afternoon on Wednesday, pleasant, polite, hard working staff, safe social distancing was in place, fantastic fresh food and a great selection of beverages available. Comfortable and relaxing cafe in the heart of Lytham!

Fast, efficient and friendly service by staff every time, with high quality food, in particular the steak & ale pie and the full English!

Called in on off chance of a table, staff very friendly, luckily there was a spare table. Went through all the Covid procedures, sanitised hands, took contact details, all of which made you feel it was a safe environment. Waitress took our order and in no time at all the food turned up which was excellent, 2 had steak and ale pie and I had soup and a sandwich. Reasonable prices, friendly staff and excellent food what more would you want. Plus a lovely walk on the much improved sea front.

First cafe since lockdown we felt did everything correctly to protect the customers. Great friendly staff, nice food etc. Will return.

Only had a couple of sandwiches [ club and chicken wrap ] ,,, both were served quickly [ hand delivered to a bench across the road ] delicious food / good portion size served with salad and crisps ... will return soon :)

I'm glad they've survived lockdown and they're just as brilliant as they've always been! The food and service are faultless and they don't rip you off for it.

I work all over the UK often staying in many top hotels eating in their restaurants. I came across Lytham Kitchen about 10 years ago and have been a frequent visitor ever since.Without a shadow of doubt, this place serves up some of the best meals I have ever tasted and at the same time putting some of the bigger branded chains behind.Value for money with service that is above and beyond many other eateries. From ordering your food to it arriving at your table is rapid and piping hot. The Big Breakfast is one of the best I have had anywhere but so is the rest of the menu.We go here every weekend we can and sometimes during the week too if I am in the North West.As Tina Turner sang..."Simply the best"

Had the cooked breakfast as had the beans, mushrooms and hash brown on it with egg,I only wanted one sausage tho couldn’t eat 2, 2 rashers of bacon, with a pot of tea and can of coke think it came to about £14.00 pound. Reasonable service and lovely cooked breakfast cooked to perfection but expect it to be for the price and area

My wife and I needed somewhere for a quick bite of lunch while visiting Lytham. TripAdvisor describes it as a cafe but very up market for a cafe to my mind ! There’s a good selection of food options and it’s worth checking the specials board - there’s more than just the online menu. Nice local atmosphere and bright smart decorVery good local fish and chunky chips and the portions were generous. They were busy when we arrived but the food arrived very quickly and the service was excellent. My wife is vegetarian and gluten free and was able to get a good meal here - jacket potato with filling. Altogether, a very enjoyable brief encounter !

We had eggs benedict for breakfast in this lovely bright cafe. The staff were very helpful and the place was bright and airy and very clean. Our food was excellent, possibly the best eggs benedict we've ever had. The ham was thick and carved and the hollandaise was amazing with perfect poached eggs.

Lovely independent cafe, serving freshly caught firm favourites and occasional guest entries fresh on their specials board. Always our first choice and often we can't get in because it's so busy. But we'll keep trying!

We stopped for lunch as parents with a 3 year old. We found it very family friendly, offering high chair, colouring, small cutlery and even bibs. The food was tasty, freshly cooked, good value and was served extremely quickly - very impressive and much appreciated by our hungry toddler. The menu has a wide variety from breakfast items and snacks to full meals. The seating is comfortable and plentiful. We would definitely eat here again and would recommend The Lytham Kitchen to all.

We visited for lunch on a very windy Saturday. The place was very busy so we had clearly chosen well. We only had sandwiches but they were very good and the service was great.

Breakfast I have been eating in Lytham Kitchen for a number of years excellent food which is consistently good . Ordered a light breakfast which includes a plain coffee that was exactly what I was given . Came to pay a lady waitress / manager charged me a extra £2 claiming I had a cappuccino opposed to the standard coffee.The lady liked the sound of her own voice & I wasn’t going to convince her otherwise . I actually had a black coffee with hot milk on the side . I paid the £2 requested however they lost a customer that use to spend £20 per week in the cafe .A shame I liked Lytham Kitchen however I will not return now .

My wife suggested we go here based on trip advisor reviews. Glad she did. I ordered five bird game casserole off the specials menu. It was well cooked and tasty. The mash was creamy and the veg cooked perfectly, not over or under done. For dessert I had bread and butter pudding and custard. It had marmalade on top, enough fruit in it, was so soft that my spoon fell through it. I complemented the chef on one of the best bread and butter puddings I've had in ages. Generous portion (see pic). Service was quick and friendly. Overall they have a good range of specials, mains, sandwiches and cakes. Service was very quick and friendly.

Excellent service today, great gluten free choices including dessert. Lovely to sit upstairs and hide from the cold February weather!

Very good atmosphere and downstairs seating with the option of sitting upstairs. Sunday Roast(Turkey or Beef), mash and roast potatoes with vegetables and gravy. Stuffing and cranberries.

Came here for an impromptu breakfast and must say it was gorgeous. I had the English breakfast and my wife had the crumpets,both meals were top notch! Will certainly be back.

I passed this place many times and not fancied the look of it. However, my wife wanted to try it and we went in on a busy Saturday lunchtime recently. it was heaving, but we got a table upstairs. With staff busy and a load of kids around being picky with their food I did not expect much.

Called here for lunch last week and had a lovely meal with very friendly hard working waitresses. Very attentive and friendly We called back later for afternoon tea and cakes. Will certainly be back next time we visit Lytham

Always go there for coffee and shortbread which just melts in your mouth with a lovely buttery taste. They have a fantastic choice of menu and specials. Very clean and welcoming with lovely friendly staff. They have a sitting area upstairs also and upstairs toilets. Would highly recommend.

Yesterday we had such a lovely meal in a calm and relaxing Restaurant. Food was exceptional and the staff were very very welcoming. We will definitely be returning again.

Travelling to Blackpool for a weekend and stopped off at this place based on tripadvisor recommendations. You can’t book a table and was concerned that we were a party of 8. Didn’t need to worry the service is quick and the food is quality.

Best place in lytham for a proper breakfast. Very busy on the weekends, all cooked fresh to order and big portions. Staff all lovely and can’t do enough to help. Definitely recommend if looking for a relaxed breakfast.

I went to Lytham Kitchen for their roast dinner which is superb. The portion was huge and only cost £8.95.

In the heart of Lytham Town Centre. Wide menu choices of well cooked, tasty food. Despite being really busy serving Sunday brunch the bistro accommodated my family and both our large prams without any fuss. Staff were friendly and quick to take our order. Toilets were super clean.

It had been a while since I was in, but once again I received an excellent meal.

Lytham is well served with Italian restaurants, but we just wanted a light lunch, and happily found this place.  Clean, bright and busy but hey found us a table.  Good variety on menu, pleasant staff, food well presented and reasonably priced.  No hesitation in recommending.
