It’s was our first visit to the enlarged Chef’s Table at its new venue. In the past we have Ben several times to there smaller more intimate restaurant elsewhere in Chester which we loved. The new venue is bigger, brighter and as you would expect much less intimate. Personally I thought the new presentation was ok but not exceptional. The service, menu and meal though were as good if not better. The food retains its originality, imagination and quality. Really enjoyed it. All of it comes at a premium and I think that premium has actually increased in relation to other better restaurants in Chester. Something they need to be careful about going forward. Not a place to go on a budget.

Only a one night stay for my friend and I, a wedding outfit shopping trip. The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. The room was spotlessly clean and the ensuite bathroom lovely. Sat us by the river for our breakfast and looked after us well

Food was very nice, it was hot and fresh! We asked the staff member what her recommendation was as we had a little fussy eater with us, Leah suggested a turkey sandwich which went down very well so thank you very much will definitely visit again

Visited Chesters for lunch. The staff were all pleasant, After reading through the menu decided on fish and chips [£10.95] and coke. I didn't order the small portion as I was hungry. When it was brought to the table I've never seen such a small piece of fish and queried the portion size as I thought they had brought me the small one. But they hadn't. I can only assume the small size would have been half a fish finger. On paying I noticed they were charging £2.30 for the coke. It had said on the menu £1.95. When I queried the price I was told the £1.95 was for coke on tap and I'd had a can. RIP OFF PLACE [Or plaice}. AVOID
