Just had such a lovely stay at this beautiful pub. The rooms were so cozy and comfortable, the location was really pretty and the food was very good. The owners were so friendly and attentive. We found this place by accident, but will definitely be returning in the near future. Thank you for a lovely night.

No customer service. On entering, we were welcomed with the wonderful words "How many for' Sat at a table menu states in a rude manner "No substitutes given on menu" Ordered and waited The vegetarian breakfast was not worth the money. To add insult to injury, a member of staff opened the patio doors near to where we were seated. This then made our food cold. No apology was given. On leaving staff just looked us up and down. However if you are a regular the staff are all over you. This used to be a nice place to go, which I had used for years. Will be giving wide bearth for a long while.

Visited The Farmers Arms on our 37th wedding anniversary, hadn’t booked but were able sit in the alcove which was nice. Food was excellent, very generous portions, steak & ale pie was packed with meat & had no fat. Our waitress was very friendly & attentive.

Visited for lunch with my wife on two occasions recently. The staff were vet friendly and courteous on both occasions. We each had the pate to start on both occasions. Generous portion, lovely sweet onion relish and ,thankfully no brandy. On the first visit I had Fish and Chips , my wife had a chicken pasta dish. We both agreed our mains were great. On the second visit my wife had sirloin steak whilst I had the gammon steak. The sirloin was cooked exactly as requested. The gammon was a proper thick cut piece, not the thin ones you find in the supermarket. It was really juicy and very nice. The accompanying egg was runny, and the pineapple slice and peas very fresh. These were our first visits for nine years, we won’t be waiting that long to return for sure.
