The staff at this garden centre are amazing, they are friendly, polite and extremely helpful. Clean tidy organised and they have a great selection of plants at good prices. Thank you to the young lad that lifted heavy items into my car. Definitely be returning 💯👍❤️

The food was good quality, there’s no doubt about that, but the portions were small for the prices. The doorstep toast was a nice touch but it made the breakfast look even smaller. There either needs to be more food on the plate or a lower price in my opinion. It’s too expensive for me to keep visiting.

Refurbished throughout we popped in for light lunch. The staff extremely polite and obliging, orders taken and arrived within a short period of time. The soup, minestrone was full of vegetables the cheesy beans on toast ( heated together) was completely different to the norm and I must admit extremely tasty. Would definitely have a second time. Reasonable prices and quality produce.

! was here for lunch, and chose The Works, which an all-day breakfast. The food was as tasty as ever, but disappointingly a new policy means that it is not possible to "swap" any of the listed items for each choice. I very much dislike mushrooms, and usually swap them for an extra egg; this is now not permitted. So I just did without the mushrooms. I hope that this new policy will be reconsidered.

First of all, It is great that a vegan menu is offered but if you are vegan DO NOT get the Vegan Chilli Vegetables & Rice dish for £8 as for £8 you are getting some stale rice and peppers and onions in sweet chili sauce. Not only is the portion size absolutely abysmal for that price but the actual content of the dish is astonishing (peppers & onions in sauce). It is not like peppers and onions are special exotic vegan ingredients that you have to special order in and have to reflect in the price of the dish. There are many other vegan vegetables that could have been added to the dish which are already present in the kitchen such as mushrooms, carrots etc. How that price can be charged for that dish is unbelievable. I am not even vegan and I know that this is not a good representation of a vegan main dish and is one of the worst examples that I have ever seen. That price cannot be justified just because you put "vegan" in the title of it and compared with some of the non-vegan dishes, it just does not stack up in terms of content and portion size whatsoever. Absolute exploitation.

Called in for lunch and some some plants. Got a warm welcome by restaurant staff. Plenty of choices, and food was fine. Shame we didn't have time for cakes. Would be happy to eat there again. Garden centre plants layout seemed a bit chaotic; not easy to find things - could do with clear signage.

Last couple of times we’ve eaten at Minshulls it’s always been busy which is always a great sign. Popped in for Friday lunch, think we got one of the last free tables. Good food as always, prices reasonable and service very quick despite large number of diners.

I enjoyed an excellent lunch, The Works, which is nominally a breakfast offering, but is available all day. The staff are prepared to adjust the set meal to suit individual requirements (Many do not do this), and the staff are both friendly and efficient. The attached garden centre has a wide range of plants and other equipment, and a butchers also has a wide stock of top-quality items. A Minshull's loyalty card is worth obtaining online, if you are a regular visitor.

Normally have a great time at Minshulls. Lovely food and service, but todays treatment was very different. On arrival, told we could order hot food but when going up to order at the till just a few minutes later, they had decided they had shut the kitchen at the earlier time of 3pm. Not what I'd usually expect. Following that, what we were able to have cake wise was nice, just disappointed that the early close hadn't been communicated.

Last came here pre COVID and the staff then were dreadful. Miserable and ignorant . Unfortunately not much has changed. On arrival, there are 2 large notices telling you to wait here to be seated. Which I did. 2 members of staff looked at me and ignored me. After a few minutes I sat down anyway. Went up to counter to order where a nice young girl took my.order. Also behind the counter was a middle aged lady who glared at me . The least staff could've done was say ,Be with you in a minute ' or ' Just take a seat'. My scone and tea took 15 minutes to reach me which in a quiet cafe was not acceptable. The scone was cold, so heating it didn't cause the delay.. It was also tasteless. On the whole, I'll give this place a miss in future.

Always excellent food and service. Beautiful cakes. Great food served quickly. Fresh and delicious. Great coffee. Love calling in for a snack or lunch .

I was warmly welcomed on arrival, and shown to a table to study the extensive menu. I selected the Works breakfast, which was first class in all respects, which was tasty and well-presented. All staff were friendly and attentive, and overall a most enjoyable meal. Highly recommended.

We have been quite a few times recently and have never been disappointed. Proper home cooked food and plenty of choice - prices are very reasonable and the service is fab! Can’t wait for our next visit! The plants and food shop are really good too!

Always enjoy our visits to the restaurant at Minshulls Garden Centre. We usually have the breakfast (the veggie sausages are excellent) with doorstep toast - nowhere else seems to do this. The waitress Jenny is ever so pleasant and friendly. It's a pity a part of the restaurant can't be sectioned off for it to be dog-friendly in the winter.

We ordered a large pot of tea, 1 large breakfast and 1 standard with extra hash browns. Tea arrived promptly and was a good brew. The breakfast took about 10 minutes. My breakfast had barely warm mushrooms and cold beans served in a ramekin. The remainder of it was ok. My partner same as myself had cold beans and warmish mushrooms but also had a cold egg that wasn't cooked properly. The white was still snotty in the centre. We noticed that the staff were far more interested in talking than attending to customers as the couple behind us got their food before their drinks or cutlery. One member of staff (lady with glasses) was very loud and continually shouted instructions back to the till. It is not our first visit here but considering the quality of the food and the bill at £28 we have decided to swerve it in future.

I have driven past a few times but never called in. I didn't realise it was so big. It was such a pleasant surprise.

Popped into Minshulls restaurant for a breakfast today, great value, lovely freshly cooked hot food with great coffee.

Stopped off here to try the christmas menu, 3 courses for under £15 is a bargain! Lovely prawn cocktail (although could have done with some buttered bread), then turkey with ALL the trimmings and assortment of veg which was lovely topped off by the cheeseboard. This place is fabulous. My husband and I went for a coffee after my hospital appointment- it was really busy but the staff soon found us a table and apologised for the wait. The egg mayo sandwich was one of THE best I’ve ever had. The service was wonderful, every single member of staff were smiling and couldn’t do enough for us. This is the place to go for your needs and to eat it's a family run place in the garden centre great prices on plants and in the cafe all home food all cooked to order very friendly staff and good service and quality

Always service with a smile wheelchair friendly unlike some places, staff can’t do enough to help wether it be in the restaurant or ordering garden plants etc. The food is all home cooked and tastes beautiful, Sunday dinner is highly recommend but you’ll have to book as very popular. A lovely family run business with very helpful staff.

The staff are lovely, so welcoming. We had poached egg and Bacon on doorstep toast (real doorstep!), cheese & mushroom omelette and an egg & bacon roll, three drinks for £20. Really tasty and value for money.

Extensive menu which usually doesn't disappoint. Very friendly staff and timely service. I ordered tuna mayo sandwich and a side order of chips. The sandwiches are usually accompanied by a lovely homemade coleslaw, salad and crisps. On this occasion the sandwich arrived minus all the trimmings. When i asked why i was told that the sandwich is served on its own if it is accompanied by a side order of chips. I queried that if i was paying for the side order in addition then i would expect the trimmings. The waitress however stepped up immediately and brought the missing trimmings. In my defence it was my birthday treat and i felt cheated regardless of whether i was able to condume all before or not.

Have been to the cafe a few times just for a cup of tea but this time we had something to eat. Plenty of choice on the menu, we had a cooked breakfast and a cheese and ham toastie both very tasty. Lots of tables and staff friendly and efficient.

We stopped in for lunch on our way through. Three of us had drinks and a light lunch for less that we'd have paid for the drinks at a service station or chain coffee shop. The food was excellent, freshly prepared and using local suppliers. Service was good, despite the restaurant being packed. Definitely a recommendation if you are in the area and looking for a drink and lunch.

Come here and find something to suit. Wide range of food, good basic menu with frequently changed Specials. Today I had - Hot Turkey bap with cranberry sauce, served with soup or chips. Cauliflower & Broccoli soup = delicious. Orange & Chocolate cake including strongly orange flavoured Orange Curd (or similar!) - I always have this, if it is available, with a cappuccino - Oh, Yes!! I like sitting in the conservatory, enjoyed listening to the rain on the roof today. In winter, the wood burner is a real boon. I'll be back!

When we want to guarantee we have a good hearty breakfast, we always head to minshulls, door stop toast is absolutely amazing, the only thing that I would say, they have a walk-in pick your own table kind of style but then you order at the table, so sometimes the waitress doesn't always spot you and we've sat for 10-15 minutes, but they are always very helpful and friendly. Love a minshull brekkie!

Visited minshulls garden center for plants but then got the aroma from the kitchen, so went to the cafe and had hunters chicken, it was wonderful, the service was good, and staff are friendly,it is also licensed , the farm shop inside is also good for meat and preserves, overall a good experience

Lovely visit with friends. A nice stroll around the garden centre which has a few bargains but lots to look through. Lots of choice in the food section with a butchers stall too. Lovely cut flowers as well as plants and plenty of trinkets, pots and furniture. I've only ever been to the cafe for breakfast so can't comment on other food but teacakes and the full cooked breakfasts are lovely and the prices are reasonable. Coffee is delicious and staff are always friendly and chatty to customers. The place is lovely and clean too and the staff are always busy serving or cleaning.

I have eaten at this restaurant several times the first time eating quiche then from then on quice it is not everyones cup of tea but I love it and you get plenty of it couldn't ask for any better

Visited just before lunchtime with my husband, parents, sister and her granddaughter. Had a table near the fireplace making it cosy. After coffee we decided to have lunch there. We all enjoyed the food there was red pepper quiche with jacket potato. My Dad and husband had the breakfast with a choice of how the eggs were cooked and white or brown toast. Mum had the carrot and coriander soup with a generous sized savoury scone. Bacon and cheese filled pancake went down well. The ice cream was enjoyed by the 20 month old. Very reasonable prices and staff were very good with my Mum, very patient. Only negatives were no high chair for toddlers and too much cheese in the pancake. Still enjoyable and we will be going back

We always pop in the Restaurant after going to Leighton Hospital and I was really looking forward to Lunch. Our appointment was for 10.00 A.M and we were told it could take up to 3 hours. So when we arrived at 10.30 A.M I was a bit disappointed, however Jenny said if we wanted Steak and Ale pie that's what we would have.She reserved a table and said to come back in 15 minutes. We had a good wander round and sure enough upon our return we had a meal within minutes. OK we had a few funny looks but it was worth it. Thanks to Jenny and all the Staff. The Pies can be bought in the deli so we will be taking some home as well next time, although they go pretty fast.

We are regular visitors to this lovely cafe as we live around the corner. We always have great service, which is delivered by friendly and helpful staff. Whilst the menu is fairly small, it has everything you’d want, plus they have several daily specials or soups to add to the menu! They use local produce which is fantastic. We were very impressed during a visit on the 2nd December. It was extremely busy, as lots, our family included, were buying our Christmas Tree. I warned my son that we may have to wait, but to my surprise we didn’t! The waitress took our order within minutes, and our drinks arrived in less than 5 minutes. Our food was freshly cooked and again arrived quickly and was delicious. It’s definitely somewhere we will continue to go back to time and time again.

My wife and I visit this restaurant on a regular basis and have done for a number of years. We regularly have a coffee and a scone, and the scones are to die for. We also regularly lunch here and I can honestly say that we have never been disappointed with the food. It is all good home cooking and truly delicious. There is not a great deal of choice on the regular menu but there is always a daily "specials" menu which usually has about half a dozen different dishes. There is very often a homemade pie option which I cannot recommend highly enough, one of my favourites being Steak and Stilton - absolutely delicious! There is also, depending on the time of year, a stew option, also highly recommended, one of my favourites being the Minted Lamb - divine!

Meals here are always fresh and wholesome , the breakfasts are great with doorstep toast, The lunches good choices great prices plus staff friendly , always worth visiting

We've had several meals here, mainly breakfasts and all have been very good. The Christmas menu looks good too.

It's not fine dining but yesterday's lunch surprised and delighted my wife and I. The home made chicken and mushroom pie had lots of filling and the pastry was thin and the courgette and lime cake was moist and zingy - especially with a scoop of cheshire ice cream. We've been several times and portions are always generous and service is usually good. Beware of the doorstep toast as it really is a doorstep.

This is a lovely Garden Center a good Cafe you can sit outside in good weather my Brother took is puppy with us so sat outside afe had a coffee and cake witch was lovely

Went for lunch sandwiches freshly made what ever kind of bread you like. Asked for different filling on the sandwich, no problem. (as long as have it in stock}. Refreshing cold milkshake & iced coffee. Went with a friend one day. Then the next day been to the hospital so went again as enjoyed it the day before.

Went with my daughter and grandaughter for afternoon tea, we were asked which fillings we'd like in our sandwiches as well as type of scones ( they bake fresh every day and have fruit, cherry, cheese and plain scones) also pick cake from the display.. my daughter asked if she could have quiche instead of pork pie and the waitress immediately went to check what was available. Very nice food, quick friendly service and a shop selling fresh produce so we took some scones home for the older girls, (who were at school when we went) and of course with it being a garden centre there were plants, flowers and ornaments for sale with staff on hand to take your purchases to your car for you... well worth a visit

I have eaten here many times & been happy with the dish I've chosen but recently I had the displeasure of being presented with the worst 'cheese burger' I've ever had. Listed on menu as being from in-store butcher I was looking forward to a tasty beefy treat. Sadly it was hard to identify which animal it originated from - very disappointing. The chips as usual top notch along with the delicious homemade coleslaw. Next time I visit I'll stick to the home made quiche or filled baked potato - always extremely good & excellent value for money

We took a friend to Leighton Hospital where a member of staff, knowing we had some time to kill, recommended a visit to Minshull Nursery, just two minutes up the road, where their cherry scones “were to die for”. We couldn’t resist so had the clotted cream and jam to go with them. The scones were really large, so much so that my wife couldn’t finish hers. I didn't let it beat me! The restaurant is very pleasant. The only thing that slightly put us off was some members of staff talking loudly and being a little heavy handed with the trays. A little more gentility would have made for a better experience. Nevertheless, we would go again for such lovely scones!

We went to the cafe as we were passing, for a late lunch. Service none existent. Cleanliness of tables diabolical. We walked out after waiting for half an hour to be served. Manager useless and unhelpful when told of the problem. This is the 3rd and last time we'll ever visit. They've lost 4 good customers and both families patronage.

Called in at MInshulls for lunch & choose the Chicken Fillet Burger with spicy mayo from the Specials list. Absolutely delicious with proper chips & a small salad - excellent value for money & served by great staff.

Visited this garden centre today. Really well priced plants and garden accessories. The butcher shop in there is amazing, such a varied amount of meats. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the minted lamb henrys are absolutely fantastic. We will definitely be back!
