We didn’t book as had just been to the hospital with our grandsons. Car park was full when we arrived so, get there early or you have to pay and display on the public car park A good renovation inside for a pub. We ordered for the babies as soon as we were seated but their food arrived long after ours arrived which missed the point of ordering theirs first, thankfully we ordered some bread but babies like plain bread we will know to Ask next time, it was really Slow service but maybe that’s because it is quite new. The staff couldn’t cope but they were extremely helpful and very sweet to the twins. Apologies for the messy floor after we left!

Food as tasty as ever but the regular chip portion size seems to get less every time

Was OK. Dated but clean room, bathroom ok. Comfy bed. No resturant including for breakfast, thought they could have at least had a breakfast box or something similar. So, no frills but would use again if I had too.

In Liverpool to attend a concert and wanted a great pre-theatre meal. The Art School Restaurant offer an exciting Prix Fixe menu for £55 which looked worth trying, especially as menu options looked very appealing, and decided to go for it. The meal certainly didn’t disappoint and had an excellent experience at this restaurant. Everything ordered at my table was extremely good. We were given a delicious velouté as an amuse bouche to start the meal and we went for the cheese soufflé and a venison tartare for starters. For mains we had the guinea fowl and the cod loin. We ended the meal with a “trio” of signature desserts. Everything without exception was delicious and would certainly go back again to try either their larger Tasting (£125) or Excellence (£95) menus. My only gripe was that, although delicious, my cod loin dish was far too small for a main dish. If I’d hazard a guess, the weight of the cod served was probably around 100g, which really isn’t acceptable as a main. The service at the restaurant is courteous and professional, however the atmosphere, decor and interiors are a little too bland for my taste. With that said, I’d still go back in a heartbeat for the quality of cooking on offer.

Three of us went and had drinks, three main courses and three deserts - 80 quid in total which was not bad value at all. Food and service was excellent. Wonderful setting too. Highly recommended

We had dinner on a Sunday at M&C Aughton, and the food was exceptional! We enjoyed all 3 courses. Our waitress Judith was so lovely, she helped us navigate the menu (one of us ate off the main menu, the other off the Sunday menu) and she was kind and attentive to our 16 month old. We can't wait to dine here again.

Went for the first time today and was disappointed. Received my food which was as pictured, but the empty piece of toast was hidden under the other one. I actually couldn’t believe this was it, and I asked the staff if this is how it’s supposed to be, and they said “yes” and asked me if I wanted to BUY anything extras. Honestly shocking for £12+ and would never come here again or recommend it to anyone else based on this experience. Very stingy portions for such a high price, and they of course make you pay before you eat so you can’t even dispute it.

Me and my hubby were bought a gift card for our birthday's and we finally got to use it today. The gift card was for afternoon tea, however we were informed that we could have anything to eat. Which was music to my ears. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was impeccable and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We had a lovely afternoon Well done everyone 😊😊

First visit for a while and wasn't that hungry so we had starters. I got the Pork pie with pickle and chutney. Big mistake. The pork pie was fine but the chutney, well that's a different story. It was that overpowering, my eyes were watering and my nose was running. Sorry, but it spoilt the dish. I downed most of my pint but that still didn't chill my mouth. The wife had chicken strips, which she enjoyed and the bowl of sea salt fries was high, but nice thin fries.

We called in on spec and we're given the last available table. Waited 10 minutes before waitress took our orders. 45 minutes later we were still waiting for our food. We called a waitress and the owner/manager came over. Her attitude was disgraceful. Rude and aggressive. We were informed that they were busy and the food would be served when it was ready as it was all made fresh. Answer to that is get more staff. Her lasting most annoying statement was that as we were walk-ins and had not booked what did we expect. I challenged her on this statement and she backed down on this. She did eventually go and check on the foods progress. We were told it was being plated up and would be out soon. Back to fresh cooked food, the why was my steak and onion sandwich cold? Not only that but the salad was swimming in a awful salad dressing. None of us enjoyed our meal which to call it mediocre would be a gross understatement. Will most certainly never go back to this establishment.
