The best restaurants serving British food in North West

We went there for the first time last night, and we will definately go again. Lovely place. You can tell a lot of love and effort has gone into it. Food/service was 10/10.

Stayed here this weekend. Stayed in accessible room 12. Huge room and wet room. Comfy beds. Oh so soft towels. Evening meal superb. Breakfast superb 👌. Staff helpful, courteous, and friendly. Will be staying again.

First time my partner & I have ate here, if you don’t mind paying that little bit more for good food this place is a MUST. From the warm welcome we received upon arrival till we left can’t fault this place at all. All of the staff were very attentive always making sure we had everything we needed/ wanted. Both our meals were of the highest quality, the steak was cooked to perfection & the chicken was full of flavour. Nice ambience to the place with piano bar style music playing in the background.

Staff where great made us feel welcome and were great with the kids. Food was spot on, especially the Yorkshire bead and butter pudding.

After years of passing by on my way to work, I finally booked a visit. I can honestly say that we were so impressed with the quality of food and service. I highly recommend and will definitely revisit again in the future. A big well done to all the team.

As for the food, it was decent with a reasonable variety on the menu. While it didn’t particularly stand out as exceptional, it was still enjoyable and complemented the overall experience. The presentation of the dishes was neat and visually appealing, which shows the effort put into the dining experience. What truly makes this place worth visiting is the environment. From the decor to the seating arrangements, it’s evident that the restaurant prioritizes customer comfort and a great atmosphere. Whether you’re stopping by for a meal or just drinks, it’s a spot I’d recommend if you appreciate good vibes, a cozy setting, and a welcoming atmosphere.

Friends of ours visit regularly and when we were looking to meet up, they suggested this fabulous place, our first visit will not be our last. I would describe the decor as ‘woody and warm’, lots of wood, books and tasteful nik naks. A beautiful well stocked bar welcomes you on arrival. We were warmly greeted and shown to a lovely table. Our food was delicious, we all chose the Hake on Mediterranean vegetables in a light tomato sauce, think upmarket ratatouille. Unfortunately they only had 3 portions of Hake, however they were able to provide Sea Bass fillets with the same accompaniments. The fish was perfectly cooked, the vegetables had a lovely textured crunch, just delicious. Three of our party succumbed to desserts: a huge portion of STP, crumble with custard and the most beautifully presented pannacotta. A fabulous evening: great company, food, service and a not too shabby bill. Highly recommended.

I had to wait 15 mins for the wrong drink to come out that got sent back and another one came out another 10 mins later, then my cake came out another 25 mins later but by the time my drink got replaced most of my family on the table had their mains minus me and another table person, so another 25 mins later my cake came out after several reminders.

Great friendly service, superb quality cod and haddock. Good chips, tea and curry sauce. Great value. Highly recommended eat-in chippy.

Friendly staff good menu choice, opens early 8am which is a bonus. Scrambled eggs were nice Today had a nice beef roast lunch 😋 Hot roast beef bap with onions & gravy is nice too This has become.e my choice for Breakfast & lunch in Blackpool

Visted dv8 for lunch. Food was delicious, hot and great value. We were served by Mia, who provided a brilliant table service. She helped us to choose from the menu. We sat outside, lovely atmosphere. We will be returning. Thank you.

Really quaint little village shop that's a bit like Mar Poppins handbag. Don't know how they can cram soooooo much stuff into such a little shop Really fairly priced and alot more on offer than just the expected famous 'sticky toffee pudding' which is to die for and us served hot to take away
