This is where you go for the best chocolate brownies (probably in the whole world 🌎 😋)the traditional pasties are excellent quality excellent value 👌 lovely friendly staff too 😀 I'd have posted a picture but the brownies didn't last long enough🤣

Fantastic value for money and superb quality. The best in Penrith and fabulous pastries, tarts and cakes as well as baguettes and sandwiches.

We always stop off at this bakery when we’re staying in the lakes and everything we’ve bought has been first class. My favourite is the fruit tarts! They are absolutely delicious. You have the added advantage of getting at least one of your 5 a day so got to be healthy too!

I always visit this establishment when I’m in the area and it never lets me down. The pies are bang on. The breakfast baguettes are bang on. The cakes are bang on. The staff are bang on. Honestly you won’t find a better traditional bakery anywhere and it’s great value for money. It’s bang on like.

I eat here on a regular basis. I can recommend the bacon butties,ploughmans,homemade soup and the homemade cakes.

We stumbled across this bakery by accident on the way to the car park, and looking at their cakes decided to buy some. The cakes and scones were absolutely delicious, everyone enjoyed them.

This is the best bakery/ cafe in penrith. I love the homemade soup and the quiche is excellent, the staff are all so friendly it's a real pleasure to visit.

Had morning coffee break at the Cosy Cup cafe which is part of the Crafty Baker. This lovely cafe had really happy, friendly staff and the most delicious cakes. Had mars bar slice and millionaires slice. Total sweet explosion, fabulous.

Discovered on the day before we left Penrith so ordered pasties, amazing cream cakes, sausage rolls and almond slices to bring home with us..all delicious. If you don't try these, you are missing a TREAT

What a great bakery everything is freshly made and I'm yet to find anything I don't like the pies are tasty, the bread is divine, scones are some of the best I've tasted, and all the cakes are to die for, staff are really friendly and it's well priced a lovely local bakery.

Great little cafe, reasonable prices friendly staff and comfy setting. We had a lemon muffin which was delicious and staff were able to provide soya milk for tea. Lovely relaxing space would visit again.

I called to the bakery for a jacket potato - late lunch! The ladies on the counter were very friendly and smiley, its good to see people enjoying their job! The jacket potato was very tasty too :-) 08.05.18

I've always liked the cakes from here, I love the date and walnut scones and the fruit tea cakes but all the sweet and savoury are always good here.

Good bread and pastries great for a lunchtime sandwich

I used to love crafty, was my favourite bakers from the food, to the staff and service, but just recently they've dropped their standards and let themselves go majorly. Whilst choosing my order I'd seen a live fly in the "fresh" pasta salad boxes, one of the older ladies behind the counter nearly got my sandwich order wrong to which i corrected her and she scoffed in my face and didn't proceed to do her job properly asking if I'd like salad. The pastys are lovely altho i sometimes get the feeling they weren't freshly baked this morning. I ordered a panini today, and the bread was soggy and barely any filling I am extremely dissapointed, it's not always but just recently I've not been impressed

Just been to the crafty for my usual, sandwich and cake treat. As alway it was lovely, and I was served by a really polite young lad........ Bonus they now also have the cafe around the corner (which I did not no) so I popped in for a quick caramel latte, which was perfect, served with a shorbread. I am a very happy customer.

This bakery is great. The food is & tastes freshly baked. There is a great deal of choice, & it is very good value for money. The staff are lovely & always friendly.

I asked for a tuna savoury with salad to have later. However there was no salad which I was looking forward to. The tuna savoury was tuna, strips of cheese with mayo of which there was very little. I was the only customer, there was no service with a smile and it was though I was an inconvenience. Won't go back.

What more can you ask from an independent baker. Lots of different cakes, savouries, soup, bread, friendly staff and a new cafe which they have just opened picture attached of the best host chocolate in town. Always good for that sneaky treat or lunch.

I love the cakes from this bakery, they also do nice pies and lovely salads for lunch, so I often pop in on my lunch break.

I used to come here years ago so thought I'd visit and I wasn't disappointed. The food was excellent, particularly their sausage rolls. Inexpensive as well.

When I work in penrith this is my regular place for lunch. It is always good no matter what I choose. Sometimes I ask for something that isn't on the menu and the lady's are always happy to make it for me. The cakes are the best I have ever tasted, especially the vanilla slices.

I have been here a few times and the food is always great. They do cakes, sandwiches, salads and pies and they are all really tasty and you can tell they are made that day. The service is always quick and friendly too

Prior to the new staff starting, I would have given this bakers 5 stars. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the quality of the food, it's always amazing. The problem is that the new women pretty much always get my order wrong. I'm not sure how it is possible to mess up a white roll with no butter and tuna savoury but they seem to manage it. Yesterday, a ham roll on white with just a little butter and no salad ended up being ham roll, no butter but with salad. It's not hard just to shout over and check.

Just THE BEST sandwiches in town, lovely combinations (my fav brie and grape), and always freshly made. I always get a strawberry tart here for my birthday and they are quite delicious!! I won't try anyone elses for fear of disappointment. The ladies are just delightful even when they're run off their feet! Great value for money and super fresh pies, pastries and bread....why would you bother with a chain bakery? Support your local independent businesses.

I have always been one for supporting local businesses but when the local business is better than the chain store, I don't know why more people do not use it. great sausage rolls and a good range of sandwich fillings. will return regularly.

I have no idea how they manage to create their vanilla slices for only £1.10 but they are magnificent. The staff are really friendly and consistently friendly. Good prices, beyond comparison to supermarket pastries, (bigger and far far better) the creme patisserie is awesome. Would definitely recommend this spot for service and for goodies.

I buy a cake and a sandwich every time I go to Penrith and i am always happy with what i buy. the staff are really freindly too. This is a cracking little place. All fresh and tasty . Well worth a visit.

You know the old saying..if you see a big queue outside a shop - it must be good - well this fantastic little Sandwich shop matches just that -and always making gorgeous bread for your fillings - the cakes are delicious too - especially the Strawberry Tarts - nice gorgeous size and the base is just so tasty that it compliments the filling and fresh strawberries well. Staff are fantastic too!

Highly recommend this place. Food and sandwiches are lovely and the cakes, well just try them, staff are friendly as well.
