Find the food has really gone down hill in here, even the portions are getting smaller. BUT the importat bit, cask is always spot on and cheap

An excellent Sunday roast preceded by delicious mussels as starter and followed by roly poly pudding. Outstanding value for money served with real care.

Great pub we went for breakfast and coffee good on both counts

I went to Life of Riley on Sunday/Monday morning 4th/5th August 2024. We used to call it Spiker Riley as in the past we have had attempts to spike our drinks. The other night we were there till 02:30 and the security in there were absolutely fantastic. One guy inside spotting any trouble and two guys on the door responding. The guys were professional polite and strong when required.My wife and myself felt totally safe as there is the usual mix of Bumpers on Hairy Mikers night. Excellent work guys.

Hosted an Aussie leaving party in the upstairs function room for around 100 people. The staff/management couldn’t do enough for us from start to finish. Didn’t wait more than a minute or two to be served all night, don’t know how they kept up but they smashed it! 10/10 would definitely recommend

Ordered 2 piza’s & 2 portion of fries between my self and 2 children . It was out on the table in less than 5 mins the piza’s weren’t even cooked they were shocking we were all starving the kids had one slice each The fries were rubbish as well big portions but rubbish quality should of just gone to McDonald’s and that’s saying something. Probably the worst meal I’ve ever paid for don’t go there for food shocking

Can’t recommend this place enough! Amazing l. welcoming staff who were very eager to make sure our time here was the best it could be. Food was fantastic, portion sizes are very filling so worth every Penny and very tasty. Offered us a wide selection of drinks and had colouring in things for the children. Only a short walk away from lots of tourist attractions in the town which makes it ideal. Will definitely be back regularly.

Went for food with friends on Saturday. All I ordered was chips. Their food came out at different so i waited. They had all finished their food so I asked someone at the bar about my chips- he said he would look into it. I never seen him again. 15 mins later I went back to the bar and asked someone else. I never seen her again. Somebody came to the table to remove plates- I asked her about the plate of chips. She didn't return back to the table either. Finally my friend went to the and asked a final time. About 1 hour and 45 minutes after first ordering I was brought out an undercooked plate of chips. The server placed them down and simply walked away. I was offered no apology nor an explanation. This has put me off from returning. It is a shame as my friends said their food was nice.

Took the lady I work with who has special needs for lunch today. Food was delicious but what made the visit special was the lovely welcome we had from Susie. She went over and above to make us feel welcome and chatted to my charge for a long time, which absolutely made her day. Being kind costs nothing and Susie proved that today. Lovely experience, will definitely call again

Old and badly designed store with more miserable looking security guards then miserable looking staff. You have to walk 5 miles to get in to the store past a narrow corridor as entrance is right at the other end of store. You are told not to enter through the tills by angry staff and when you have finally got in to the store you can not get out if you have bought nothing as you are gated in and the alcohol is in locked glass cupboards. You then wait for 20 minutes to be bossed about by a talking till that never works as most of the staff tills have gone. Feels like being in Alcatraz and you are treated like you have done something wrong rather then a valued customer so not exactly a pleasurable shopping experience so now shop at Asda.

I was dubious about trying as I didn't think it would be for me, but am I glad I did. 100% converted. It tasted amazing. The ice cream curls were delicious. Definitely go back.

I'm a loyal customer to Asda. I have been for many years now. Been in today at 17:00 hours to get some shopping. Filled my bag pack up after paying for my food and still had some left to put in a shopping bag. Asked the young lady if I could get a shopping bag. She asked if I was paying for the bag separate and I said yes. She then put the bag through and said you’ll have to pay for the other stuff that I already payed for. I tried showing her the receipt but she wasn’t bothered about looking at it. She then decided to get security to stop me and ask if I had payed for everything. I felt embarrassed and discriminated by that since I’m always at Asda buying food. It’s a shame that one person who doesn’t like life in Asda spoils the service and experience for customers. Good reviews go far but bad reviews go further. She needs an office job 😂🤣😅
