Nice environment however quite small. Staff friendly. Ordered from special boards. Averaging £10 each. Paniji goat cheese and chutney. Asked itlr wanted crisps instead of salad. About half bag in a bowl. Panini had very thin slice of cheese l. My friends had smoke salmon and egg on muffin which they said tasted nice but again very small portion. Dont think I would visit again

We visited Corbridge Sandwich during a recent visit to the village. There was so many choices of fillings for sandwiches and paninis as well as lunch options and tray bakes. We went for breakfast rolls and we were not disappointed. Tasty, filling and reasonably priced too. We made a second visit a couple of days later it was so good. Give it a try if you’re visiting.

We had a fabulous lunch. We chose the “light bite” menu and had chips on the side. The menu was varied and suited all of us. I must say that the Chicken Caesar Flatbread was superb. The staff were lovely, so friendly and efficient. They ensured that a disabled parking space would be available for my husband, in fact they went above and beyond. The pub was very busy even though it was Monday lunchtime. Perhaps the sunshine brought people outside. We will definitely choose The Angel again as a delightful place to meet with our friends.

I am writing 2 seperate reviews as we had 2 very different experiences. The first time we stumbled upon this place,we felt like we had found a gem. Myself my husband our 2 boys and our dog stopped for drinks & cake. The staff were so friendly, food delicious and we felt welcome and relaxed. On the Tuesday on our way home from our trip we were determined to visit the coffee house again, but for lunch this time. This time the staff were not as welcoming. We were told we could not move 2 small tables together and we had to sit on a 6 seater at the door. This was not ideal as it had no space for our dog to sit and felt drafty. So we Said we'd sit on the 2 small tables without moving them. The rude blonde lady behind the counter said she'd rather we didn't incase other customers would like to sit there. We felt uncomfortable and very unwelcome so we left and are unlikely to return.

We always call at Tea and Tipple when we visit Corbridge, it's always busy. I have the coronation chicken wrap, which is always delicious. They offer free top ups of coffee, which is so generous as most cafes would charge for this. Everything is always excellent, and served by friendly warm staff. Would highly recommend.

I'm on record as having said on many occasions that if they awarded PhDs for scone-tasting, I should have a dozen. I've eaten scones in venues from the Orkney Islands to Australia and written about them in more publications than I could possibly remember. So, you can take my word for it that the freshly-baked, home-made scones (with butter and strawberry jam) at No.6 are quite possibly the best I've tasted in recent years. Cafe No 6 is a quaint place with a very atmospheric first-floor eating area, a delightful owner and staff who look like they are actually enjoying the job they do. My wife and I were just as impressed with the special 'doggy menu' on offer. We shall be back!
